Initial Expectations: Kobiata gave the first part a very good review, which makes me have high expectations here as well, even if I do think Woodman is normally very overrated.

Initial Reaction: It’s typical Pierre Woodman, which means well done sex and a poorly translated feature.

Who Should Watch It : Fans of Euro- sex including a lot of anal, DPs, and group sex

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who thinks dubbing means translating over 10% of the audio and who doesn’t like anal sex

Audio /Video Quality: Private is well known for their high technical qualities, but I haven’t ever been impresses with the audio in Woodman’s features. Rather than actually translating the dialogue, a narrator gives summaries every now and then about what is happening, has happened, and is about to happen in heavily accented English while you still hear the original audio. This has always turned me off about Woodman’s features and is the main reason I no longer pick any up. To me it seems that Mr. Woodman has no respect for the consumer if he doesn’t care enough to fully translate his work into languages he claims to. I’ve even put off watching the good sized stack of his that I already have because of this. If this doesn’t bother you, you can add another full point to the audio as well as the plot (since you’ll be able to understand it) and the overall. The video appears to have been shot on film and is nicely done in a matted widescreen format.

Music: The music stands out from regular porn music and has things rarely heard in porn music, such as lyrics. It has a definite style with a little bit of African style to it, and is very nicely balanced with the rest of the audio.

Menus: The menus are nicely animated, containing some clips of the feature. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a number and small clip of the scene.

The Feature: After a short recap of Cape Town the story of a man, Richard Langin, who was wrongfully convicted and has now served his time continues. Richard is determined to get revenge on the man who put him in prison, Philippe Soine, and has already seduced Philippe’s daughter.

Cecilia Grout, an average looking auburn haired woman with a nice set of cans, gets busy with Jean Yves LeCastel and Philippe Soine after they interrogate her a little. She starts out giving them each handjobs, but quickly becomes the meat in their man-wich. The guys change back and forth quite a bit while jabbering away (I consider it jabbering since nobody cared enough to translate it). She energetically takes it in each hole before really having the guys team up on her by DPing her in a couple positions. She goes back to sucking one cock while the other works over both her holes before taking both guys on her face and in her mouth, as well as swallowing some jiz down. It’s a pretty hot scene that has good chemistry.

Richard Langin, Alan Deloin, and Tony Toscany relieve a little stress on and in Simone Horvath, a cute short haired brunette with nice tea cup titties, after a fight. It’s a pretty hot scene, but not quite as good as the previous scenes.

Richard Langin and Alain Deloin take on Blondie, an attractive dishwater blonde, and Demia Moor, a raven haired beauty, along the beach. It’s another very good scene, but the chemistry seems to lack a little compared to some of the other scenes.

Cape Town 2 ends up being typical Woodman. The sex is very consistent. It’s well done and is filled with beautiful women who aren’t afraid to take a cock in any hole. The plot also appears to be well done, but unless you speak French you’re not going to know because it isn’t really translated. The English summaries really tick me off, especially because it is a fairly plot driven feature and there’s quite a bit of dialogue even in the sex scenes. It strikes me as going to the bathroom, sitting on the crapper, unleashing what you know is going to be a two-flusher and then only using one square of toilet paper to clean yourself up (or since Mr. Woodman’s from France, using one squirt from a drinking fountain as a bidet). Cape Town 2 appears to be a very good feature, but unless you speak French you’re not going to really know.

Extras: Report gives about a six and a half minute featurette that’s part behind the scenes and part promotional featurette. There’s a nice interview with Julia Spain that’s nicely cut in with one of her scenes. Bios are included for Blondie, Cecilia Grout, Demia Moore, Diana Vincent, Gabriella Wolf, Julia Spain, and Simone Horvath. Each bio includes a few nice photos and some decent personal information. The photo gallery contains about twenty three nice looking full screen photos. A series of film notes describe the feature as well as some of the making of the feature. Finally, trailers are included for Riviera 2, Sex Opera, Matador 3, Eternal Ecstasy and XXX 14.

Overall: Currently, Cape Town 2 can be found online for between $17 (on sale) and $27 with most stores offering it for under $22. If you’re a fan of Pierre Woodman, which I can’t say I really am, you’ll probably really like it. The sex is very well done, but the lack of a real translation ruins much of the feature for me. Finally, the extras are nicely done.

Note to Private: If you’re going to release a movie claiming it’s in English, please translate the audio rather than just giving lame summaries every now and then. On the plus side, thank you for supporting the widescreen format, but please consider supporting it fully in the future by going to anamorphic widescreen.
