THE STORY

A collection of classic Private scenes from the mid 90's , the cover blurb reads " Private Video Stories , the label that made Private a Legend ." That's some billing to live up to considering Private's reputation , let's see if it succeeds shall we .

LET'S GET TECHNICAL

The DVD comes in an odd little case which is about half the thickness of an ordinary DVD case . Now , this is either clever and distinctive novelty packaging or just plain cheep , depending on your view point . Still , enough with the outside what about the disc itself ?

Not a good start . There's a forced trailer for Sex Angels before you can access the main menu , but at least you can fast forward through it .Still , first impressions count , and this isn't the best . The 6 scenes vary in terms of picture quality , though on the whole they're entirely acceptable . There's some weirdly abrupt editing in 'Timber Orgy' which spoilt that one for me , but your mileage may vary .

Description
The Producers Half man , half hobbit : Francesco Malcom has the hairiest legs this side of Bilbo Baggins . After the brief set up all the fun and games take place on - yes you guessed it ! - a couch . It is a very nice couch however - none of that yellow LA crap ! Typical 90's cheesy porno music plays loudly and annoyingly over the action , competing with the (for once) undubbed moans of our lusty performers . Just two minutes in and already I've got a headache .

The first girl isn't great . She's wearing some cheap and nasty fishnets and the dyed blonde hair was a mistake - looks a bit silly with those black eyebrows . The other girl , Maria Bellucci , was the only name I recognized when I got this disc . Frankly though I've seen her look a lot better too . By far the longest scene on the disc , this neatly splits up into two halves with the arrival of Maria part way through . The sex isn't bad , even if there's not much heat . But both girls get a DP if that sort of thing is important to you . Everything is professionally captured with a good combination of full body shots and close-ups .

Or maybe I've just fallen in lust !

Shot more like a gonzo than the other scenes , this has the worst picture quality of the lot and is probably less professionally captured . It's not bad , just not up to the standard of the other segments . Now who does Hannah look like ? Answers on a postcard !

THE GOOD

Cute girls , some effort made at set ups ( rare in today's gonzo/all sex ) , and good performances in a few scenes .

THE BAD

The musak sucks , one of the scenes has no flow , and the performers aren't all that enthused . It's fairly short by most standards , as well .

TO SUM UP

If this was truly what made Private a legend then I think it's a legend built on sand . Some things are done well while others are very slip-shod , which results in an eminently average porno . A few of the girls are definitely worth catching so this is probably worth a rental . But there's plenty better than this on the market .
