Set in the vineyards of Spain’s Costa Brava, this three-part dynastical drama blends the intrigues of high society with the cut-throat world of the wine business. The story takes you from the 19th century to the present day, revealing the secret lusts, desires and infidelities between two feuding families who are fighting for control of the Private Chateau.

Following in the footsteps of their well received feature production of Millionaire, Private’s next foray into big budget porn is the trilogy, Private Chateau. The first in the trilogy is a 2-disc affair with the 1st disc containing the feature movie and the 2nd disc containing a boatload of extras. I have high expectations for this flick as Private’s standards for overall production values --- casting, story, locale, and DVD authoring to name but a few --- are much better than average. The casting here does not disappoint at all and has some familiar names including Silvia Saint, Mya Diamond and Christina Bella. I will caution the readers that the sex scenes are not long in length -- less than 10 minutes each -- and feature multiple cutaways instead of long sustained action in a single position. Think feature and not gonzo.

Disc 1:
The feature presentation…
As soon as the opening credits finish, we are led immediately into our first sex scene. Is this a gonzo after all?

Sex scene 1 – Mya Diamond & McKenzie Lee with a guy:
Damn, what a hot scene to start. The patriarch’s solution is to marry his son to the Swedish family’s heiress, Maria (Victoria Swinger), to resolve the debt and the son against the wishes of his heart agrees.

The sex set-up is a little hokey but this is a feature after all as Christina is taking pictures of art inside a room of the Chateau and is told to stop and to leave. Evidently, his scheming ways were hatched a year ago and he got his assistants to use their sexy wiles to further his agenda.

Sex scene 3 – Sylvia Lancome & Claudia Claire with a guy:
The girls start making out and soon move their attention to the guy. They double-team with some BJ action before Claudia hops on for RCG vag with Sylvia performing PTOGM. In another room, the family lawyer, who is having an affair with Maria’s mother, played by McKenzie Lee, is talking to Mya Diamond who is playing someone involved with the Chateau/family but I don’t know who.

Sex scene 8 – Mya Diamond with 2 guys:
Mya is gorgeous with the sharp facial features and a great body. Mya and the lawyer start the action with BJ and move to mish vag. Maria’s father interrupts the sex and Mya is asked to receive the business partner. The lawyer starts the anal proceedings in side mish and we move to DP in CG. There is some brief RCG anal before we get to DP in RCG. Maria’s mother catches them as she is unnoticed and walks away sobbing. Mya spits out the cumshots. Good scene.

The movie ends with a current day flashback of the lawyer getting murdered by the pool and someone, maybe the perpetrator of the crime, retrieving a necklace from the pool as this is all witnessed by that mysterious vineyard worker on the roof.

Production values / DVD authoring:
The audio and video qualities as well as the cinematography and accompanying soundtrack were unbelievably good. Bravo on a job well done. The DVD main menu has an option that lets you jump right to any of the 8 sex scenes. Also, the DVD has a language menu where you can pick from any of 8 spoken languages as an overdub for the dialogue.

Disc 2:
The noteworthy extras contained in the 2nd disc are as follows…

*Making of:
This 20-minute featurette is a mostly interviews with the director, Conrad Son, and some of the cast. It’s very stylized and almost too promotional with the dubbed narrative.

*Shooting diaries:
This extra is 24 minutes long and contains some BTS stuff with not a whole lot of audio except an overlayed music track. The BTS segments is film of the production crew at work as they are filming and preparing for the scenes. The scenes themselves are from all 3 parts of the trilogy.

*Interviews:
There are 9 separate interview segments. One with Conrad, 4 with male stars (one of the male stars has the stage name of “Tom Cruiso”), and the remaining 4 with some female cast members – Silvia Lancome, Gina Blonde (who does not appear in Part 1), Letizia Bruni, and Claudia Claire. These interviews are a brief introduction into how they got into porn and their involvement with Private. They also mention their roles/characters in the trilogy.

Summary:
I can look past both the choppy storyline and the too brief sex scenes and still rate Private Chateau Part I as 4 out of 5 stars. The casting of fantastic looking women and the film production values as well as the care in the DVD authoring raise the feature’s score from above average to an overall very good rating. I look forward to getting my hands on Parts II and III to see how this trilogy plays out but if Part I is any indication, they will be just as enjoyable to watch.
