Synopsis:
Two people work in an office. The female (Michelle Wild) is looking for love and the male is looking to get into the female's pants. Since the male finds out that the female has good luck hooking up over the internet, he decides to try that medium as well.

Audio/Video:
The original audio track for Love is in the Web is a French 2.0 Stereo track which sounds full and rich. As I am not fluent in, or able to understand, the French language I used the English 2.0 dubbed Stereo track for viewing this film. Unlike the French track, the English track is more subdued and the dialog is at a slightly lower volume. The dialog is clear and easy to hear though. Unlike the original DVD releases by Private, Love is in the Web contains a true dubbed track where the original dialog has been removed and replaced with the dubbed dialog. And, as usual, Private could use some better English voice talents. There are also dubbed 2.0 Stereo tracks for the German, Spanish and Italian languages as well as subtitles in Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Portuguese and Polish.

Love is in the Web is presented in the full screen aspect ratio of 1.33:1. As Private is a European adult film company the film may have originally been filmed in widescreen and cropped for the American presentation, but if it has been, there is no evidence of it on the disc. The picture quality on the disc is good with perfect color levels and no artifacts, glitches or blemishes present. Some of the edges appear to have lost some of their definition which was probably caused by the PAL to NTSC conversion, but the picture is far from being horrible. The layer change on the disc is at a poor spot in the film and appears to hang for a few extra seconds over normal on this disc for some reason.

Special Features:
Private has put their standard stable of extras on this disc, of which several have to do with the feature film. There is a photobook, which contains stills from the feature film that you have to flip through. There is the making of report, which covers various aspects of the creation of the film. There are the production notes, which is a text feature which reads like a press release regarding the feature film. There are cast profiles for Angelica, Bianca, Carmen White, Dorothy Black, Esther Virgin (Vanessa Virgin), Michelle Wild, Sandra Iron and Tiffany. And last but not least there are previews for Private Life of Wanda Curtis, The Best of Lesbian Sex Castings X 8, Private Reality 6, and Fever.

DVD-ROM Special Features:
This disc contains the standard Private DVD-ROM extras. There is the internet activated DVD catalog which contains a listing for all of Private's DVD releases to date of the mastering of this disc. The PC bonus is some Love is in the Web themed wallpapers for your Windows PC.

Navigation:
There are six chapters available from the main menu for Love is in the Web. They are identified by a video clip from the sex scene that they go to. One goes to each sex scene and although decent for navigation, it would be much better if there were more. There is a time code for the feature film encoded on the disc.

General Review:
The story for the film is rather bad and uninteresting. The concept behind the story isn't bad, but the execution of it is here and it ends up bogging down the sex scenes and gets in the way of the film. I won't get into the issues with the plot, but lets just state that it doesn't work quite right. Not that plots in adult films are usually great, but they should have tried a little harder here. Kovi's camera work shows through with some great shots as per his usual, but great camera work alone can't make a film.

The sets in the film are a mixed bag, you have your standard bedroom locations, which work as well as any bedroom location can. There is a nice bar set-up, probably a real bar. And then there is the office. The office is painted in a bright blue, as Bob Chinn might paint a set. It works for Bob Chinn, but doesn't work here for Kovi and diverts your eyes from what is happening in the scene.

The sex scenes in the film end up being very formulaic and an apparent lack of interest from the talent drag the film down. The cast themselves are a mixed bag, some look great but most are average. One aspect that some viewers may not like is that one of the sex scenes, which takes place in a fantasy sequence, is entirely shot with a blue filter on the camera. The scene looks good but the blue tint to everything in the scene may put some people off. This is the only portion of the film shot this way. The sexual themes in the film are oral, vaginal and anal sex with anal fingering, titty fucking, DP, lesbianism, toys, anilingus and female masturbation. For viewers who care about such things, no condoms are used in the movie.

The Scenes:
In scene one, two males get blowjobs from Bianca and Carmen White before switching over for some pussy eating and a little anal fingering. Then we get into the vaginal and anal sex with a little titty fucking before the DP finale. In the second scene, Michelle Wild and Dorothy Black get together for some lesbian action involving oil, a dildo, pussy eating, anilingus and a little anal. In the third scene, one male takes on Sandra Iron and Angelica for a BJ and some pussy eating followed by vaginal then anal sex.

In the fourth and best scene in the movie, two males get taken on by Vanessa Virgin and Michelle Wild. They start off with some pussy eating before going into the vaginal sex. Then they head into anal sex followed by DP while the odd girl out does some solo dildo action. In the fifth scene, one male takes on Tiffany for some pussy eating and anilingus followed by a BJ. Then they go into the vaginal and anal sex. This is another great scene, but many viewers will probably be turned off by the fact the entire scene was shot with a blue filter. In the sixth and final scene, one male and Michelle Wild go at it in their office in the least interesting scene in the film. The scene starts with a BJ and goes through the mandatory vaginal then anal sex.

Parting Thoughts:
Love is in the Web has a lame story and formulaic sex scenes. If you are a fan of one of the stars you'll probably want to pick it up otherwise you'll probably want to either pass on this title or just give it a rental. Viewers who like a coherent plot or tame sex will want to pass on this title completely.
