Initial Expectations: I haven’t seen or heard anything about VXI, so I’m not sure what to expect. After this long I don’t know if no news is that good of news, but with Rayveness and Meridian in the cast I have a little hope.

Audio /Video Quality: Remember when you first saw DVD? How everything was so clear? This makes VHS look like that. The audio is a little better but not much. The voices come across okay but there’s a constant static in the background and a few background noises during the outdoor scene. There’s also some obvious dubbing.

Music: It’s the typical porno music from the early nineties that ranges from way too loud to a decent balance with the rest of the audio.

Menus: The menus are piss poor. The only way to make it worse is if they wouldn’t work. You have two choices on the main menu, watch the movie or go to the chapter menu. The chapter menu lets you choose between Chapter 1 through 6, which are labeled just like that on a full screen. You don’t even get to see a clip of the scene to choose from.

The Feature: I had a bad feeling as soon as Prime Choice 5 started. When the FBI warning looks like a fifth generation VHS copy, I never get much hope for the rest of the feature. As one would expect with a title like Prime Choice 5 it’s an all sex feature without anything to break the scenes apart. The only way you know who’s who is everybody’s shown with their name during the opening credits.

Red Baron, who I’ve never heard of for pretty obvious reasons, comes home to find Rayveness surrounded by balloons in the bedroom ready to give him his birthday present. He starts off eating her out, gets a blowjob, which Rayveness always does well, and then starts fucking her. She talks him through most of it and finally offers him her ass. He starts out fingering it and then moves on to try to fuck it. On the fifth try, and with Rayveness’s help, Red finally manages to get his semi-hard cock into Rayveness’s ass. After fucking her ass a little bit he pulls it out and once again takes several tries once again to get it back in. Rayveness puts on a good show throughout the scene, but a lot of it feels like she’s trying to compensate for having to work with Red Baron. It’s almost an average scene, with all credit for getting that far going to Rayveness. Hopefully Red Baron is shot down and never seen from again.

Meridian, dressed in some decent red lingerie, starts off the next scene sucking on Dave Hardman’s cock. She doesn’t really look like she’s enjoying herself too much, which I’m sure has nothing to do with old man Hardman, and during the blowjob the lingerie magically disappears. She hops on to fuck him and gets her ass fingered as she’s being fucked. After riding his cock she rolls over so Dave can spoon her ass. This is one of those scenes that shows just how old Dave Hardman is. Where most guys would run a marathon to get a chance at Meridian’s ass, Dave Hardman never moves further than rolling onto his side to fuck Meridian’s ass with the exception of the pop shot. I’ve seen more energy from Dave Cummings! It doesn’t help much with Meridian looking like she’s just there to pay the rent. Dave actually drags his ass off the bed for the pop so he can unload on Meridian’s face. I’m almost surprised he had enough energy to launch the cum out of his cock.

Finally, Chelsea Blue joins Woody Long in a hot tub outside. Although Prime Choice 5 has some choice girls, they’re pretty much wasted here. The best of the guys is only average and the camera work leaves a lot to be desired. If you absolutely have to see this one, rent it.

Overall: Currently, Prime Cuts No. 5 can be found online for between $10 and $21 with most stores offering it for under $15. At the time I bought it you could also get it as a free choice at Five Star DVD . At that price it’s about right. The sex is okay but there isn’t a single extra and the technical quality sucks. If you absolutely positively have to watch this one, rent it!

Note to VXI: If this is the type of quality you’re going to put out, please stop making DVDs. If you really want to see the scenes you have on DVD, please give them to another company so they can do it right.
