Pirate Video Deluxe 12: Perversions of the Damned Review

I'll be somewhat brief with this one.. no scene by scene breakdown. Largely because I sold the thing off two weeks ago, so I'm writing from memory. Apologies in advance for that, but that says something in itself.

Female Cast: Alexandra Nice, Alexis Amore, Allysin Embers, Amber Michaels, Olivia, Harmony Grant.

DVD Stuff: Pretty much standard fare for a Private disc. Nicely animated menus, previews, still gallery, internet stuff I need a dvd-rom to look at.

The video -quality- is quite good, but the production/lighting is overall poor, which is why I have given this DVD a middling AV quality score.

The Feature: Massive Disappointment here - The covergirl Olivia is only in one scene, - an orgy and she (like most of the cast) is hidden by poor lighting and average editing. You get a better look at her on the front and back covers sadly.

The female cast were almost all very attractive, and wasted in an overall very poor film. Frank Thring usually comes through with quality work but not this time.

Plotwise the story is some rubbish about a satanic cult trying to summon the devil, or something. Mostly people seem to fuck by the dozen in poorly lit rooms. I basically skipped past the badly-delivered dialogue, so no comments on the acting.

Over use of orgy scenes and under-use of lights mean any enjoyment of most of the cast's performances are lost in a dark muddle of editing. There was actually a scene that seemed to be an orgy intercut with another scene, but I'm still not sure what it was.

I recall (at least) 4 scenes were shot with reasonable lighting:

Alexandra looking fantastic, but having sex with the far-less-fantastic looking Frank Thring.

Alexandra having reasonable sex with Evan Stone. Not bad but nothing super.

Harmony Grant with someone I'm not familiar with. Harmony is attractive if you like the blonde-with massive-breasts look. Unfortunately while her long black boots look good, her checkerboard spandex stockings are distracting, and the SS cap she wears doesn't go with that outfit especially well.

Several unrecognised, unattractive people, on what appears to be a balcony, on some chairs.

Oh, and for those disturbed by such things, at one point a girl with a strap-on does a guy in his bum. This is during one of the dimly-lit orgies.

Note to Frank - I totally understand wanting Alexandra Nice to give you a BJ, just save it for a new series titles "Frank's Fucks" or something because I don't really want to see it.

If you want to see Olivia (the covergirl) don't bother buying this as you can't see much of her. If you want to see a GOOD Frank Thring Fetish- themed movie get Hells Belles (also in Private's Pirate line).

I'm normally one of Private's biggest fans, but this was a disappointing load of rubbish. It looked good in the various stills and on the cover, but I guess that's what those are for.. to sell it to suckers like me.

I'm trying to think of who to reccomend this disc to, but all I can really come up with is this:

To people who like vaguely fetish-themed and costumed group sex mostly shot in dimly lit rooms, this one is for you!
