Initial Expectations: I haven’t seen any of the Pick Up Lines series before now, but the consistent presence of good talent in the series gives me a love of hope for it.

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is very well done. Many of the scenes are shot outdoors, but you don’t hear any wind noise or other background noises even though you see the leaves on the trees moving. The sex sounds, however, come across very well. The video is just as good. The picture is clear and although there are a few shadows, they’re not that noticeable. There also isn’t much pixelation.

Music: The music is similar to normal porno music, but very well done. It’s a slight techno style, but a little more laid back. It’s also very well balanced with the rest of the audio.

Menus: The menus are very straightforward without any animation. They do show some thought by listing the chapters by the girls in them and including bios for all of the female cast.

The Feature: Pick Up Lines 15 starts pretty simply. The cast is listed and then you’re given a little preview of each scene. I would have preferred having the cast listed as they were shown in the opening preview, but this works too. The movie itself is a movie within a movie. Two couples, played by Avalon, Mocha, Sean Rider, and Mr. Lucky, watch the scenes together. It’s a decent idea and one that works quite well here.

Blonde Avalon starts things out by stopping her convertible by a stop sign that aptly named Mocha is holding up. No words are spoken, but the point comes across just fine as they fondle each other a little driving down the road. Avalon brings Mocha home where she undresses her new friend and gives her a thorough tongue and finger inspection as well as slapping her ass to make sure her new toy isn’t going to fall apart under a little pressure. Mocha shows Avalon that she’s a quick learner, giving Avalon back a little lip service until Mr. Lucky and Sean Rider show up with the movie.

Pick Up Lines 15 has a very different feel. To start with, it’s a porno within a porno. Many of the positions in the scenes are broken apart by a couple second flash of what the couples watching the movie are doing. This works great! You don’t see the stars moving around for each position, but by showing the other couples you don’t feel like you really missed anything by the editors cutting it up. The camera style is also a little different. It feels about half way between gonzo and feature film styles and also works nicely to set it apart from other features. Pick Up Lines 15 , although not perfect, is still well done enough that I’m not going to let it off my shelf for a long time.

Extras: As usual with OGV’s DVDs, rather than giving trailers for individual features, they give them for the entire series. This DVD includes trailers for Peeping Tom, Pick Up Lines, Shane’s World, and Rodney Moore’s features. Bios are included for Avalon, Brittany Andrews, Coral Sands, Holli Woods, Margo Stevens, Mocha, Nici Sterling, and Raylene. There’s a little personal information, a list of the star’s other OGV features, and a link to the star’s scene. Finally, there’s a two minute photo gallery with about six seconds per photo. They’re all framed and look nice.
