Initial Expectations: Wicked waited a long time to enter the virtual world. I’m really curious to see this one, but very apprehensive at the same time.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects aren’t quite up to Wicked’s normal level. The audio is pretty clear and well balanced, but there’s also a few background noises. I have mixed feelings here, since they’re all noises outside of the house. Although it ruins some of the fantasy, it also adds to a bit of the reality. The video also lacks a little. It’s decently lit, but there’s a bit of grain to the picture that I don’t ever expect from Wicked. There’s also a little tinting to some of the sequences, such as the bedroom which looks a little gold-ish in places.

Menus: The main menu is very simple. It basically gives you a choice between starting out in Stormy’s kitchen or going to the extras. Although I would have liked the choice to go anywhere, it does give the movie a nice start.

The Feature

Several years after the first interactive virtual sex DVD was released, Wicked has decided it’s time to enter the game. While everybody else concentrates on just having sex with the girl, Wicked takes it one step further with Stormy, their golden-tressed, big boobed, bodacious butted contract girl who’s been busy showing that the size of a girl’s brain isn’t inversely proportional to the size of their tits. Here, you get to explore Stormy and her house. Each room has a different theme, and you can tell Stormy just what to do in each.

You have the choice of five locations in The Perfect Stormy, the kitchen, the living room, the shower, a staircase, and the bedroom, and Stormy has something special for you in each room. Of course she’s willing to put on a tease in each room, but that’s just the start of things. In the kitchen she’ll be more than happy to drop to her knees until you want to spunk in her mouth. If you go into the living room she’ll show off her big fat titties and let you fuck them before spewing your seed across them. You can watch her loofa herself as well as trimming up her bush in the shower. She’ll fuck herself with a silver vibe or let you take a hand in things. When Stormy descends the staircase, she’ll give you a handjob and let you pop in her hand. Finally, in the bedroom she’ll suck “your” cock, let you play with her pussy, and let you fuck her cowgirl, doggie, and missionary style before you give her a facial. There’s plenty to do, and Stormy does it all very well. She plays everything to the camera, but does it in a very natural manner. You feel like she’s talking to you rather than just working on the camera, and it makes the entire interactive experience work very well.

Stormy and the camera have a beautiful thing going here, and a lot of credit has to go to Michael Raven. He does just as good of a job behind the camera with the little things as Stormy does in front of it. He nods with it when Stormy asks a question that needs a response to keep her going, and more importantly he captures the sex better than I think I’ve seen anybody else do it for virtual sex. It’s the little things about his camera work that worked for me. It never feels like it’s on a tripod, and he never comes close to showing Pat Myne’s face. He knows how to zoom in enough so that you can see, and then move back and forth if it’s a tough position so you see it all. Most of the time while I was watching this release I was watching and thinking that Raven was doing a decent job. Then he got to the doggie, which I would think would be the hardest position of all to capture for a feature like this, and he blew me away. He zooms in so that you can have a good view of Stormy’s sensational ass, and then pans forward and back so that you can see her face and reactions as well. It gives the position an incredibly realistic feel, and almost had me bumping the sex rating up to a perfect 5.

Since the start of interactive virtual sex DVDs, cumshots have received a heck of a lot of attention from porn fans. Wicked definitely paid attention to the fan complaints about animated, faked, or repetitive real pop shots as none of those problems surface here. There are unique pop shots for each of the four rooms where a pop shot is used, and every one of them is real. Just as importantly, Pat Myne looks like he gives each and every pop shot, and there isn’t a single dud in there. The only complaint I can come close to having here is that there isn’t a unique pop shot for each position in the bedroom, but it seemed generic enough that I don’t think it’s a problem here. The pop shots in The Perfect Stormy are very well handled.

Then there’s the interactive / virtual control mechanism. The menu is kept simple on the right side of the screen. You get an icon for each room, and the choices for your current room are then listed below whatever room you’re in. It’s simple, and it works. Most importantly, it’s very rare for the selections to advance on their own. Yes, it does happen a few times such as in the kitchen or on the staircase where Stormy goes from the tease to the blowjob or handjob, but in those places it seems natural. Once it gets into the blowjob or handjob in those areas, it doesn’t keep moving into the pop shot. The selections loop over so that Stormy doesn’t do anything until you tell her what to do or where to go. This is one of the most important things in an interactive DVD to me, as it’s supposed to give you the feeling that you’re in control. It not only doesn’t move on, it also loops back to the middle of the selection rather than the very beginning so that whatever Stormy was doing seems like it’s going non-stop. This does cause a few problems in a couple spots, as in those spots Stormy stops like she’s done and going back to the very start of the scene would look natural, but these are definitely the exception to the rule in The Perfect Stormy. The interactive / virtual control aspect of The Perfect Stormy is extremely well done and shows some very nice care.

The Perfect Stormy is one heck of a refreshing interactive DVD. Wicked might be a big dog, but rather than fighting with the rest of the pack for a decent sized piece of meat, they decided to head in their own direction. It definitely paid off here. Stormy does a great job the entire time, and Michael Raven does just as good of a job with the camera work. The sex is sometimes simpler, but at the same time expands the interactive and virtual genre farther than most other studios have by setting it around Stormy’s house and letting each room have a different type of sex. That expansion made The Perfect Stormy a winner for me, and leaves me hoping that we can see more Perfect Wicked girls in the future!

The interactive interview lets you select the questions Stormy’s asked. You have six choices that allow you to ask Stormy about when she first started out as well as what’s in store for her in the future. I’m not sure that I like the format, but it works for the overall feel of the DVD. Only one of the answers takes over a minute, but Stormy comes off as extremely articulate as well as very real. Although I’m not sure I like the format, I do like the interview and think it’s worth checking out. I just wish they would have covered something dealing with Stormy’s thoughts on making this release.

The Voyeur Cam lets you check out occasional alternate angles. The alternate angle never shows up on screen, so it acts almost like an Easter Egg in the movie. It normally lets you have a side view of the action, but sadly it isn’t always a true multiple angle. On the other hand, it handles the voyeur and alternate angle feel very well by normally peeking around corners or through a window. It does a very nice job of taking multiple angles to the next level, and helped out the overall DVD.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, The Perfect Stormy can be found online for between about $19 and $30, with most stores offering it for about $25 and up. If you’re a big Stormy fan, this one’s probably worth it, but others might want to rent it first. The interactive aspect is nicely done and has a nice twist. The technical aspects lack a little, and there’s also not much for extras. This is a very nice first time interactive DVD, and one that I think Stormy can be very happy with.

Note to Wicked: Thank you for waiting to try something unique. In the future, please try to get the quality of your technical aspects up a bit. I was really tempted to give this a slightly higher score, but due to the lack of extras (especially ones concerning this release) and the technical aspects I just couldn’t justify it no matter how much I wanted to! Now if we can see The Perfect Devinn Lane soon...
