Audio /Video Quality: The audio is pretty clear and well balanced, but you can also few a bit of the offscreen directions, which makes things feel sloppy to me. The voice over narration is also a bit off and scratchy, but is consistent enough that I think it might have been intentional. The video is pretty clear, and has some well done lighting, but some of the distance shots are a bit fuzzy.

Music: There’s a little music at the start of the scene, but it often doesn’t last long. What is there is normally pretty well balanced with the rest of the audio and has a little different style that works very well.

Menus: The menus are pretty standard. The main menu includes a clip from the feature, and the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip from the scene and a scene number.

The Feature: As with its predecessor, Passions 2 revolves around scenes with passionate sex. Renee La Rue introduces the scenes, which is the only thing outside of their theme to tie things together.

Violet Blue, a cute peroxide blonde with a great natural body, start things off with Chris Cannon looking like they just got back from a nice night on the town. Chris helps Violet drop the top on her dress, drops down to kiss his way up and down one of her great legs, and then licks her pussy and ass. Once again, they start things off with a little vaginal action before getting into a lot more anal action and finish things up with a facial. It’s a hot scene with great chemistry and energy. Samantha is pretty amazing here, and I can see why there’s quite a few people who try to catch whatever she’s in.

Finally, Renee La Rue and Nikita Denise team up to work each other over on a white piano without worrying about a guy getting in the way. Nikita works Renee over first before they share it, and finish things up with some good kissing. It’s a good lesbian scene with nice chemistry and energy, but something seemed missing for me. Maybe it was the editing that held the scene back for me, since things were cut from position to position rather than letting you see them, but something didn’t feel quite right for me. Then again, it might also have been that I really enjoy watching these two ladies and had my expectations a bit too high.

Passion 2 is pretty good, but unfortunately doesn’t escape the curse of the sequel. There’s some good action and enthusiasm, but for some reason this one didn’t grab me quite like the original did. It might be that this one isn’t quite as couples friendly, due to a lot more anal and group action, which was one of the great strengths of the original. Where the original showed that couples sex doesn’t have to be slow and boring, Passion 2 decided to try going a little nastier. I have nothing against scenes getting a little nasty, but it isn’t the best surprise in a sequel to a great couples feature. That said, most of the cast does a very good job. Violet Blue and Samantha Sterlyng put in two of the top performances here, and the rest of the cast also does a very good job. Passion 2 is a well done raincoater feature, but I think would have been a lot better if done as its own feature rather than a sequel to a couples feature.

Extras: Of course, there’s company and internet information. The thought of a DVD without either of these is about as rare as a politician who keeps his campaign promises. The photo gallery lasts about two and a half minutes with eight seconds per very nice looking snapshot or near full screen photo. Most of the time as the snapshots go by, you also get to see a couple clips from the feature. It’s a different way to do a photo gallery, and I think I’d like it a little better if the photo came from the scene that was being shown. There’s also a behind the scenes featurette that lasts about ten minutes, which has become a standard extra on Bobby Rinaldi’s DVDs and something that gave me a great feeling about his company since it takes some extra care and effort to include. This one is one of the best behind the scenes features I’ve seen so far. There’s a nice balance between showing a few of the scenes being shot and some of the prep and screwing around behind the scenes. You get a nice view of the performers as people as well as professionals, which always makes for a great behind the scenes featurette for me.

Overall: Currently, Passion 2 can be found online for between $9 and $25 with a few stores offering it for under $15. Once again, this is a great buy, but it might not be for the same people as the original. This is more of a raincoater feature rather than a hot couples feature, with a fairly heavy anal emphasis. The transfer is a bit below average, but there’s a decent behind the scenes feature to make this a better overall DVD.

Note to Wildlife: Please pay a bit more attention to your transfer. Your technical aspects are the main thing that’s holding you back.
