Audio /Video Quality:
The technical aspects are fantastic, and give the movie a presentation that feels like it belongs in the cinema as opposed to on the small screen. The audio is decently clear and nicely balanced. The video is presented in 2.35 anamorphic widescreen, giving it the cinematic feel, and looks great. It's clear with a smooth presentation and great care towards the lighting.

There's an old saying about under promising and over delivering. Outland: Beyond the Far West promises a lot, and although it does deliver plenty I can't say that it seemed to deliver what it promised. To start with, the steampunk aspect is almost nonexistent. I'm not sure I saw a single thing that dealt with steam power, and the only thing that came close was Silvia Rubio having an eye patch with a crosshair on it and Nacho Vidal wearing a mask like Tom Hardy's Bane did in The Dark Knight Rises. Replace those two objects with a plain eye patch and a bandana or other type of mask and you'd just think of this as an adult western rather than something more. My other problem is that this is the first movie in what looks to be an ongoing storyline, so Outland: Beyond the Far West ends with absolutely nothing that's set up being resolved. Nacho knows Evan and Rob are coming. So what???? That isn't to say that Outland: Beyond the Far West doesn't have anything going for it, as it definitely does. Despite forgetting that it's supposed to be steampunk, it is visually beautiful from start to finish, and there's no shortage of production value put into the sets. Outland: Beyond the Far West has the look and feel of a solid western. The sex is also nicely done, with nice chemistry in each of the scenes. I'll admit that I started to be a little disappointed early on as the first two scenes largely followed the same sexual pattern, but thankfully things got mixed up a bit after that. I also liked that there was a nice variety to the sex, mixing anal and vaginal only scenes both in the couples and threesomes. The sex is all pretty much at the same level, but I think the final scene with Alexis, Silvia, and Nacho was easily my favorite due to how well it mixed things up. Outland: Beyond the Far West is a very ambitious project, and if it would have presented itself better dropping the steampunk comments and letting people know that this was just part 1 of the story, I think I would have been much more pleased with it. It's a good movie, but due to what it promised compared to what it delivered I have a hard time thinking of Outland: Beyond the Far West as anything more than a solid rental.
The Extras:
The extras are pretty weak, especially for a movie as big as Outland: Beyond the Far West. The photo gallery lasts three minutes. There's also cumshot recaps and foreign language options.

Rent it. It has some very nice things going for it, but I don't know how much replay value it's going to have.
Note to Harmony:
A little more effort into the overall release would be very nice. This is a big movie with a solid cast, so a behind the scenes featurette would have been a very nice addition.
