This is a recent release from powerhouse porn studio Platinum X Pictures. Their lineup of quality directors and talent is usually quite impressive. "Open For Anal" is directed by Kylie Ireland, former adult performer-turned-director. I haven't had the chance to catch any of her other directing efforts from PXP like the much-hyped "Defiled in Style." Hopefully Kylie will have as much talent behind the camera as she did in front of it.

Platinum X Pictures has always been one of my favorite porn studios. Unfortunately, many of their releases have suffered from poor video quality. Some of their DVD's have "halos" around the images on the screen which are highly distracting. This color problem, or "chroma shift" was fortunately mostly limited to PXP's early movies.

I am sorry to report that "Open For Anal" obviously suffers from the chroma shift. When dark objects on screen move into contact with lighter objects like the wall, an annoying blue halo, especially around performers, is evident. I am sad to see that a 2005 release from PXP still suffers from the problem.

Scene 1: Victoria Sin and a guy

Victoria Sin (aka Vic Sinister) is a brunette Euro-starlet who is quickly climbing up my list of great porn actresses. She's usually up for very aggressive gonzo anal action, and turns in hot, strokable scenes.

Victoria's wearing a very sexy outfit with a black bustier and matching black stockings. She walks into a classy living room and teases a guy on the couch. The first order of business is Victoria sloppily sucking on the guy's toes. I didn't really find this hot at all, but foot fetishists might enjoy it.

She does some deep-throat face-fucking oral which is nice. Victoria has always been quite the cock-hound in all the scenes I've seen from her. She attacks the dick with messy vigor. There is some more roughness in the scene, the guy slaps Victoria around lightly a couple of times. I thought it was pretty hot, and not too serious.

She gets bent over and fucked in the vagina and ass, with some gagging A2M, before receiving an average, watery cumshot to the mouth. She appears to swallow but the director cuts away far too soon! Kylie does not appear to understand the importance of not cutting away too early from the cumshot. That was the only real disappointment, though, in an otherwise hot coupling.

Scene 2: Mandy Bright and Michael Stefano + John Strong

Mandy Bright is a veteran Hungarian performer with a penchant for anal sex. She's blonde in this scene, which is unusual (she's normally a brunette). I've never really found Mandy to be particularly attractive. I don't know what it is; she is a filthy performer but she is just not my type at all. If I were not reviewing this movie, it would probably be fast-forward time for me.

There's no tease at all. We immediately see Mandy deep-throating a couple of guys in a bedroom. She's dressed in an all-white lingerie get-up with a bustier and stockings. Michael pounds away at her pussy on the bed, and quickly enters her ass in the same position. Mandy does a lot of impressive deep-throat A2M as the guys switch positions. Her asshole gapes open in doggy-style.

She does a DP in cowgirl which she seems to greatly enjoy. The guys pick her up for a standing DP. Kylie films from underneath so we get to see close-ups of the penetration. More face-fucking oral and then two cumshots which nicely glaze Mandy's face and breasts.

Scene 3: Haley Paige and Manuel Ferrara

Haley Paige is the seductive brunette vixen on the box cover. She's one of my favorite adult starlets and I always look forward to seeing her get fucked. She's paired with Manuel Ferrara in this scene shot inside on a large blue chair. They passionately kiss for a while and Manuel fingers and eats her pussy.

Scene 4: Anna Nova and a guy

Anna Nova is a German porn star with pretty unfortunate fake tits. She's o.k. looking, I guess. I have never been into her look, really, or her tattoos. She's a hardcore anal queen, though, so her scene here is likely to get mighty filthy. The action takes place in a random warehouse, where a guy is stacking boxes. It would be a crime to call this set low-budget, even. It is probably just the PXP warehouse somewhere in Porn Valley.

Anna blows the guy for a while before he eats her out. They fuck on a big pile of boxes. High-end feature porn this ain't. Anna gets vaginally rammed in missionary. I hope those boxes are full of something soft, because they don't look especially comfortable. True to the title of the film, Anna does some anal, mainly in doggy-style. Her anus doesn't really gape all that well, although she tries. Lots of A2M. The guy plasters her tongue with a load of ball-batter.

Scene 5: Nikki Hunter + Jayna Oso and Manuel Ferrara

Nikki Hunter is a veteran blonde with bad bolt-on boobies and a pierced clit. Jayna Oso (aka Malaysia) is a Latina girl who's known for extremely nasty performances. Neither of these girls got me excited about this scene at all.

There was a lot of nasty anal sex, but this scene just didn't do much for me at all. Your mileage may vary. If you're a big fan of Jayna Oso, and I know there's lots of them out there, it's one to check out. She gives a typically nasty, high-energy performance. Manuel sprays on her ass-cheeks to end the scene, which Nikki sloppily licks up.

Well, this was not one of Platinum X Pictures' finest efforts. The cast of anal starlets was not especially notable. Haley Paige, who looks great on the cover, is simply the best part of the film. The sex, for the most part, is not anything to write home about and I wasn't really attracted to many of the girls. It's basically average anal gonzo action. Jayna and Nikki certainly turned up the heat factor, but I'm not really into their looks, unfortunately.

The bonus material, usually plentiful on PXP releases, is rather limited here. We get to meet the lovely Kylie Ireland in the behind-the-scenes, who demands "romantic slapping and choking" in her movies. We also get to see Kylie's great boobs. The segment, while not that long, was pretty interesting and a good addition to the film. There's also some short video of the girls' photo shoots and a few trailers.

Rent or buy "Open For Anal" only if you're a fan of Haley Paige or Victoria Sin. Their scenes are pretty good, but I can't imagine ever returning to the other ones for stroke material. It's Platinum X, so it's automatically better than most, but with the inferior cast, video problems (those pesky "halos") and predictable fucking, it's just not the best experience that they have to offer.
