Only the Best of Inari Vachs Review

Audio/visual quality: As might be expected for a compilation, the technical qualities vary somewhat from scene to scene. The transfer is quite competent; there are no obvious problems with artifacts, noise or pixelation. It's usually easy to see the main action in the scenes, although the editing choices occasionally leave much to be desired. The overall volume on the audio is adequate and also surprisingly consistent throughout the disc. The balance on the music ranges from quiet to moderately loud, and in a few cases, the music is the only audio. Wherever dubbing is present, it's generally not very good.

First impression: It's a mixed bag. A lot of sifting is required to find a few semiprecious gems.

Scene highlights: The disc includes four lesbian scenes, three straight scenes, two orgies and two three-ways. None of the source material or performers are credited.

Scene 1: Babes Illustrated 7 (Shay Sweet, Inari, McKayla). The three women engage in poolside play while an offscreen actress photographs them. Shay gives Inari an energetic rugmunching, but Inari never puts her own oral skills to use. Aggressive toy usage, choppy editing and bad dubbing plague this substandard scene.

Scene 2: Infidelity (Inari, Earl Slate). Earl enjoys some hanky-panky with secretary Inari in his office. Inari's blowjob is truncated, no initial penetrations are shown and the reverse cowgirl position drags on forever (great stamina from Inari, though). The transition between missionary and cowgirl is good, and so is the thick, sloppy facial. Overall, a below average scene.

Scene 3: Lust in Paradise (Inari, Brian Surewood). There's no live sound, but the silly beach music is fun. Brian laps at Inari as she reclines on a surfboard. They rinse off the sand at a public shower, where vaginal sex ensues. They then convert a nearby hammock into a sex swing. Inari clings to the hammock for balance during anal doggie and lies back down for the facial. Brian is heavily bearded and definitely looks the part of a grizzled beach bum, whereas Inari is quite lovely with no makeup and a sweet smile. Nicely done, and easily my favorite scene on this disc.

Scene 4: Memoirs of a Madam (Inari, Nakita Kash). After interviewing a retired madam, Inari develops the hots for her maid. Nakita quickly ditches her uniform, but keeps her brunette hair in a tight bun throughout the scene. The two women trade oral affection and satisfy each other vaginally with an acrylic plug (Inari takes it in a pile driver position). The madam peeks in approvingly as Inari and Nakita finish with a kiss. The fade-and-dissolve edits include an annoying white screen, but otherwise it's a pretty good scene.

Scene 5: Nothing to Hide 4: Club Purgatory (Gwen Summers, Inari, Shelby Myne, Vince Voyeur, Michael J. Cox, Pat Myne). The orgy centers on a car wreck inside a psychedelic discotheque. Gwen looks intensely pouty. Thankfully we can't hear her usual squealing, since the creepy circus music provides the only soundtrack. Inari plays a peripheral character, though she does take a double penetration from Michael and Pat. Michael's pop onto Inari's face is implied, not directly shown. Truly awful.

Scene 6: Stingers (Inari, Gina Ryder). The two women go after each other orally on a bed, while a lady cop looks on impassively. Inari and Gina generate some intense chemistry, and the scene could have been above average if not for the mediocre dubbing.

Scene 7: Taboo 17 (Inari, Sydnee Steele, Julian). There are several problems here, the biggest of which is the stinko audio. Rather than the original sound, there's a sportscaster-style commentary that I think is intended to be humorous. Inari and Sydnee are unrecognizable. Along with heavy makeup, they both wear bobbed wigs (Inari's is burgundy and Sydnee's is black). Inari has sex in the cowgirl position only (her nipples are concealed by red tape). Totally lame.

Scene 8: Things Change 3 (Inari, Mark Davis, Tony Tedeschi). Inari, sporting a man's tie around her neck, takes on two men in a restroom. She gives Mark a blowjob through a glory hole before Tony joins her in the stall. Inari lubes their cocks with lots of bubbly spit, followed by vaginal sex for each in turn. During the DP, Mark embraces Inari and anchors her ass while Tony pokes her vagina and gets her all worked up. There's some film grain, but overall, it's an above average scene.

Scene 9: Trial by Copulation (Inari, Katie Gold). Inari and Katie diddle each other on a tattered sofa in a filthy hallway. They're dressed as very young teenagers, complete with two spooky little dolls. They taunt Herschel Savage with lusty glances and wicked giggles as he watches impotently. Inari thoroughly douses Katie's pussy with spit before letting Katie finger her in pile driver. The scene is disturbing yet fairly well done.

Scene 10: Wages of Sin (Inari, Jerk Douglas). I'm not certain of the source, since I don't recognize the male talent. If the cover is correct, he must be Jerk Douglas (by process of elimination). According to IAFD, Wages of Sin is the only movie in which Inari and Jerk share a scene. The oral and blowjob action are extremely brief. No initial penetrations are shown, and the vaginal sex stretches on through long minutes of horrendous dubbing. Inari looks even prettier than usual in a pink thong and black boots, but otherwise it's a substandard scene.

Scene 11: Infidelity (Inari, Misty Rain, Chad Thomas, Julian). Inari partners with Chad while Misty partners with Julian at opposite ends of a leather sofa. The ladies both provide blowjobs (Inari's is wet) and have missionary sex (Inari's is anal). Somebody also gets a doggie penetration, but we can't tell who, since it's all in close-up. I usually resist the urge to criticize performers' looks, but Inari completely outclasses Chad (he's got a pockmarked face, a slight paunch, arm tattoos, a ponytail and a receding hairline). The music is cheesy, too. This is a very questionable choice of scenes to close the collection.

Thumbs up: Inari is normally an outstanding performer who would be completely deserving of a nice, lucrative contract from any of the major studios. While this disc does not include her best work ever, at least four of the scenes are definitely above average. The scene from Trial by Copulation piqued my curiosity enough that I'm now thinking I may want to see the original movie.

Thumbs down: I admit I've never quite understood the purpose of compilations. Very few scenes retain all of their heat when removed and isolated from the context of the original features. Older fans of Inari may have seen this material before. Newer fans would probably be better off purchasing any of the more recent movies that truly showcase her talents.

As a marketing tool, Only the Best of Inari Vachs is essentially worthless. Since the original movies are not credited, viewers cannot know the source of their favorite scenes unless (a) they've already seen it before or (b) they do a lot of research. The viewers also don't know which movies to avoid if they see scenes they don't like. In my opinion, the studio's failure to provide this basic information demonstrates a serious lack of consideration for the consumer.

Themes: Straight, lesbian, three-way, group (orgy), oral, anal, double penetration, toys (dildos, vibrators), voyeurism, facials, glory hole, fetish wear.

Condom use: Yes, condoms appear in scenes 3 (Brian), 5 (Vince, Michael, Pat), 8 (Mark, Tony), 10 (Jerk) and 11 (Julian).

Juice-o-meter: Low.

Final analysis: I could be wrong, but I think many fans of Inari will find this disc disappointing. The transfer and technical qualities are good, but for me, too many of these scenes are just plain boring (mostly due to editing issues, not a lack of effort on Inari's part). I won't be watching this again, and I can't really recommend it, except at a very bargain price.
