Review:
Taken by the allure of the bright lights and a big star (Dante Colle), a stunning, young model from "Kentucky" (Emily Willis) dips her toe into the trappings of the City of Angels to find that it's largely a shallow and impersonal facade. So goes One Night in Los Angeles, an exceptional 2022 release from Dorcel and award-winning director Ricky Greenwood. Indeed, Emily's story begins when she and her bestie, the gorgeous and sensible blonde Kenna James, arrive in L.A. as a result of Willis' sexting "relationship" with Mr. Colle and are taken to his palatial abode by his personal assistant (and professional ass-wiper), Nathan Bronson. Of course, it quickly becomes apparent that things aren't going to go fully as Emily had planned...and just how far she'll go to fit in remains to be seen.
A classic cautionary tale of fantasy versus reality in the world of superstardom, this feature effectively conveys the harsh dilemma that Emily faces: just how badly does she want Dante and his Hollywood life and just how much of herself is she willing to give up to grasp it. Indeed, a contrast of opposites are on display with the various characters throughout. On the one hand, Colle is completely consumed with his star power and content with his loveless existence, and his assistant, Bronson, while a decent guy, may well be too deep into it to change his own personal trajectory. On the other hand, James is obviously the clearheaded counter-balance (and voice of reason), seeing right through the glitz and glam of it all from essentially the onset. In the middle? The lovely Willis, who finds herself in an internal tug-of-war, simultaneously pulled by blind infatuation and also by a sometimes-flimsy thread of common sense.
Needless to say, in order to pull something like this off, the acting needs to be spot-on by all involved...and it is. Likewise, the storyline has to be tight and produce enough uncertainty in its ultimate conclusion to keep the viewer interested...also check. Of course, this being a Ricky Greenwood release, the production values, settings, etc. are all top-notch throughout...adding firmly to the authenticity of the work. Finally, it should go without saying given the cast that the sex is scorching, as well. Definitely a well-rounded feature.
In terms of the sex, all of the scenes are highlights. From the outdoor, anal threesome featuring Dante, Paige Owens, and Ashley Lane to the exquisite girl/girl/girl trio of Ana Foxxx, Charlotte Stokely, and Jayden Cole, where the ladies put on a steamy show at a party, the action is blistering hot. To be sure, Emily and Kenna also get in on the action, with the "just friends"(ish) duo pounding it out with Colle in his bedroom, and then the latter getting it on with Nathan Bronson on the rooftop of Dante's downtown loft. Beautiful! Not to be outdone, Willis proves to Colle that she can hang with the best of them and command a room by fucking it out with Codey Steele and Will Pounder...all as he watches. The action here is smokin' from start to finish, includes anal and double penetration (DP), and concludes with Emily on the receiving end of a double-facial. Damn!
