Oldbone: A Taboo Parody is a short film from writer and director Adam Christopher. Oldbone: A Taboo Parody purports to be a parody of Chan-wook Park's 2003 film Oldboy. This reviewer hasn't seen Oldboy, and there is a possibility that if the viewer has seen the original material, Oldbone: A Taboo Parody may work far better. However, for viewers who haven't seen the original material Oldbone: A Taboo Parody makes little sense.

The plot for Oldbone: A Taboo Parody is that a man (Adam Christopher) was held hostage for two years by his step-niece (Mena Li). He was only provided with porn of a family member (Meiko Askara) to watch for those two years. Fifteen years later, he runs into his step-niece and has to prevent her from revealing the truth about what he did to the world. (As a note, this synopsis was written based off of the short film information provided on the streaming page for the movie since the short film itself was rather confusing to this reviewer.)

Oldbone: A Taboo Parody is assembled with footage that appears to have been shot just for this short film along with footage from Adam Christopher's 2014 movie It's a Gangbang FU and his 2015 movie The Whore's of Old Town. Oldbone: A Taboo Parody is essentially an all-sex movie since there doesn't appear to be a story inserted into the short film. The beginning of the movie consists of footage of Adam Christopher masturbating, which this reviewer assumes was shot just for this title, intercut with footage of Meiko Askara from It's a Gangbang FU. The rest of the movie is Adam Christopher and Mena Li's scene from The Whore's of Old Town directly out of the original movie, complete with the original dialog.

Had Adam Christopher added a voice-over to the beginning and redubbed the dialog from the second scene, Oldbone: A Taboo Parody may have made a lot more sense. Unfortunately, as it stands now, the story is indecipherable. As far as the sex goes, the opening footage isn't bad, but the second half is lacking. Back when The Whore's of Old Town was shot, Adam Christopher was still cutting his teeth in the adult industry and, unfortunately, made a lot of mistakes with his scenes. Including leaving in the direction given to the cast, which is present still in Oldbone: A Taboo Parody.

Due to all of the issues it exhibits, Oldbone: A Taboo Parody is, sadly, impossible for this reviewer to recommend. Adam Christopher has made some good movies and some bad movies, and, unfortunately, Oldbone: A Taboo Parody falls squarely into the lousy movie side. Oldbone: A Taboo Parody is an easy pass, even for fans of Adam Christopher.

The edition of Oldbone: A Taboo Parody screened is the streaming-only edition available on Nerds of Porn.

Nerds of Porn has done a poor job with their streaming-only edition of Oldbone: A Taboo Parody. Oldbone: A Taboo Parody was shot digitally and is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 in 1080p. The picture quality for the first part of the movie is fine, and issue free. However, the second part has constant video issues. There is a noticeable feathering that happens throughout the scene. The feathering is distracting and makes the short film look bad. There is a Nerds of Porn bug in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

Oldbone: A Taboo Parody is presented with an English Stereo audio track. There aren't any noticeable issues with the sound quality presented in the short film. The dialog in the short film is easy to hear throughout the movie.

Nerds of Porn didn't include any extras with their streaming-only edition of Oldbone: A Taboo Parody.

Oldbone: A Taboo Parody is a purported parody of Oldboy by Adam Christopher. Unfortunately, Oldbone: A Taboo Parody mostly consists of footage that Adam Christopher shot for other movies that he has poorly assembled here in an attempt to make a parody short film. As it was constructed, Oldbone: A Taboo Parody just doesn't work and is an easy pass. Nerds of Porn has done a poor job with their streaming-only edition of Oldboy: A Taboo Parody with severe issues with the picture quality but good sound quality.
