Summary
“The Surrender of O” is a two-disc set that not only gives the viewer an excellent feature with some of the most beautiful women in the adult film industry, but also provides a plentiful set of bonus materials. There are clear bondage and S-and-M themes in the film, but they are done tastefully and erotically. The plot and acting—particularly that of Bree Olson—are solid, as well. Bree and Evan Stone put on an incredible, intense scene that culminates in a scorching anal sequence, while Kayden Kross and the rest of the cast all put out scenes ranging from solid to excellent. Sometimes the scenes go on a bit long, making the DVD difficult to watch in a single sitting, and often the sex is cut off a bit too abruptly at the end, but these are minor detractions to an otherwise amazing and well-done spectacle. Overall, there is a lot to recommend this title—it is a “must-see”.

Inserting the Disc / Main Menu
Upon inserting Disc One, we are led through the typical DVD offerings, including text-based info and the Adam & Eve logo animation, before getting to the Main Menu. There we find four options: “Play Movie”, “Scene Selection”—a standard scene selection device, a trailer for “O: The Power of Submission” featuring Carmen Luvana, and “Extras”—which require the insertion of Disc Two and will be covered at the end of this review. As always, we’ll kick things off with the “Play Movie” option.

Opening Credits / Scene One
The opening credits roll over what can really be called the beginning of Scene One. Bree Olson (“O”), a beautiful blonde contract star for Adam & Eve, is in an austere S-and-M themed room with a steel cage, steel floor, and a still-taking camera. She is wearing a black outfit that covers her large, natural breasts and stretches down much like a mini-skirt would, but at the bottom, it is open and hooks to her thigh-high, black stockings on each side. Bree is cuffed with a long chain between her wrist restraints, and she also has on a thick choker with metal rings attached to it. Her crotch is exposed, revealing her tightly-trimmed cooch. It is clear from the goings-on that Bree is a slave of Nina’s and has to go through a bit of punishment before asking to be allowed to bring herself to climax, which she does fairly quickly. Her punishment entails having a riding crop used on her, as well as admonishment.

From here, Nina and Nicole make use of her in a number of sordid ways, the bulk of which involve at least some form of restraint for Bree. During all of this, Nina warns Bree that she may see some figures from her past there, including a man named “Steven” (Evan Stone), with whom Bree has had some serious romantic issues in the past.

In total, this scene sets up the plot of the movie well and also includes a lot of S-and-M based, girl-on-girl action. The variety here is very good, and the fact that Bree is often restrained in one manner or another really adds to the heat. Additionally, the actresses all seem into the goings-on, and Nicole and Bree are in top physical form. The sex comes to a bit of an abrupt end, and the moaning / screaming from the participants sometimes borders on distracting. That said, this is a solid scene overall.

Scene Two
This scene begins with Bree pulling up to “the house”, going in, and then getting acquainted with some of the girls (Mika Tan and Kayden Kross) and also with the general operation of the establishment. Bree and Mika know each from before, while Kayden and Bree are newly introduced. All three of the women are wearing the standard outfits of the club—latex skirts with panels in the front and back that leave open a glimpse of the top of the pelvic region, as well as allowing the full derriere to hang out in the back. The ladies’ breasts, which are ample and natural in Bree’s case, are also free from the confines of the attire.

There is then a cut to a scene showing some of the general activities of the house that lasts for only a short while. It involves some dancing, bondage, and piano-playing, and it is then followed by another cut to a close-up of Kayden’s crotch, which is covered in shaving cream.

Kayden’s lips are bare-shaven, and she has a tightly trimmed triangle of pubic hair just above them. She is getting her shave-job touched up by Erik Everhard, as she is chained to a black, latex-covered bed. After the sex, the cut takes us to Kayden in a bathtub being washed off by Bree. There is a bit of banter about the preceding activities, as well as some veiled references to “Steven’s” (Evan Stone’s) impending visit to “the house”. The scene ends in a cut as Bree hands Kayden a towel to dry off.

This portion of the film is super-hot, particularly with Ms. Kross’ beauty, as well as her willing and eager attitude. She and the male lead have great chemistry, and the sex really benefits from it. Everything here works quite well, other than the quick jump away from any post-play that might have occurred. This is one of the better segments of the DVD.

Scene Three
The scene begins with Ava Rose and Mika Tan in the standard outfits of the “club” (minus the front and back panels) walking up to Evan Stone (“Steven”), who is in a black robe. Mika’s outfit is black, while Ava’s is purple. Both ladies look lovely here, with Mika having nice-sized, apparently-enhanced(?) breasts, and with Ava sporting a more natural look in that department. Ava is a fair-skinned, dark-haired beauty, while Mika is of Asian descent. Both women kneel before Evan and work his cock orally through the robe before he has a seat on a nearby sofa and instructs them to start off with each other first.

It would be nice to see him act more, as it is one of his strong suits. It would also be great to see Ava do some of the anal work—one can always dream, I suppose. Also of note here is Bree’s inherent acting ability that comes through in the bathroom portion of the scene—she acts at a level far above the average adult film actress and even many mainstream actresses—kudos to her.

Scene Four
The scene starts out with Mika and Nina discussing how Bree is fairing, particularly after having come in contact with Evan’s character, “Steven”. It is noted that “Ray” (“Steven’s” half-brother; Tommy Gunn) has just shown up for an unexpected appearance at “the house”. Apparently, “O” and “Ray” have a less-than-stellar past with one another. Nina gives Mika a bit of a spanking on her bare bottom, and there is a cut.

After the cut, the scene shifts to a fancy entertainment room with a piano and a sofa. Kayden is there helping Bobbi Starr adjust her outfit and get ready for their upcoming tryst with a client. Shortly, Bree walks in with a tray and sets it on the table. All three are wearing the standard outfit. Bree’s is red, Kayden’s is light blue, and Bobbi’s is green. In total, this scene is fairly hot, but it is largely lacking in girl-on-girl oral activities. It would be incredible to see Kayden get involved in the anal goings-on, but this is merely wishful thinking and not a real let-down. Overall, this is a solid scene.

Scene Five
A cut to the bathroom with Bree wearing a black bra and panties set ushers in the fifth scene. She appears to be getting ready to leave “the house” but seems to change her mind. There is then a cut to the S-and-M studio from Scene One, and Bree is taking erotic photos of Kayden there. The two discuss “Steven” and “Ray”, and it is revealed that Bree used to be “Ray’s” sex slave, that “Steven” supports “Ray” financially, and that “Steven” and “Ray” are a “package deal”—one that Bree had taken in the past with unsatisfactory results. Following this, there is a cut back to “the house”, with Bree serving “Ray” a drink. The two are outside and have a discussion regarding their past relationship. Bree does not seem extraordinarily happy with the conversation and is excused after a short time.

There is a cut as Bree re-enters “the house”, and she reappears inside, passing between Ava Rose and Trinity Post, who are kneeling on the ground nude between two male security guards—one with dark hair and the other with light-brown hair. Apparently, Ava and Trinity are about to be punished by the two guards for some unknown offense. Trinity is cute, with a thin frame, perky natural breasts, and red-orange hair. Ava looks great with her black hair and adornments contrasting her fair, white skin.

Scene Six
The scene begins with “Steven” (Evan Stone) and “Ray” (Tommy Gunn) seated on couches in a room by a fireplace. Kayden comes in to serve them cigars and gives them the cold shoulder, presumably due to her prior conversation with Bree. “Steven” and “Ray” discuss “Ray’s” problems, particularly his financial woes.

This interlude is followed by a cut to Claire Adams tying up Trinity Post with a set of red ropes. Claire is nude other than her heeled, red boots, a red- and black-striped corset, and a garter-like piece of lingerie with attached stockings. Trinity is also nude, and Claire ties her up with proficient rope-work such that her crotch is fully exposed and she is under her full control. After completing the knots, Claire uses a metal vibrator and scepter-like instrument on Trinity’s cooch. In all, this is more of a mini-scene than a true scene. The rope-work here is quite fascinating, but the scene never really generates any heat beyond this. If intricate knots are your thing, then you might get something from this portion of the DVD. Otherwise, it is more filler/setting material than anything else, particularly given that it never gets very graphic or involved.

Scene Seven
The final scene begins with Nina and “Steven” (Evan Stone) playing pool. The two discuss various aspects of their lives, including “O” (Bree Olson). Nina suggests that Evan should approach her to find out what may or may not be possible with her. As it turns out, “O” may not only be able to fill “Steven’s” heart, but she may also be able to aid in saving “Ray’s” magazine and thus help in alleviating his financial woes.

There is then a cut to a room with Nina sitting on a chair. Bree has been summoned and makes her entrance. Nina has her tie her boots and then the two discuss “Ray” and his recent departure from “the house”, followed by a conversation about how “Steven” would likely take Bree back if she were to give him a portion of herself entirely. Nina gives Bree a sash that reads “freedom is deciding whose slave you want to be”, a long, black box with unknown contents, and a key to “Steven’s” home.

The next cut takes us to Bree kneeling on a table with her hands behind her head. Presumably, she is in “Steven’s” home. The room is dark until “Steven” (Evan Stone) enters and turns on the light. Bree is wearing a pair of long, black gloves, pink heels, and a pink- and black-striped corset with an attached pair of black stockings. Her hands are cuffed by a couple of pink, leather restraints attached together with a long chain. She is also adorned with the sash that Nina gave her, and she looks stunning. Her blonde hair is below shoulder-length, her large breasts are young and natural, and her upper face is covered with a black, net veil. Evan is pleasantly surprised to see her. Bree gives him the long, black box that Nina gave her, and he opens it to find a stiff riding crop inside.

This final scene is an amazing scorcher, and it hits on every level. There is passion; there is intense and graphic sex; there is mood and setup; there is everything. This is definitely one of the best scenes that has come along in a long while. Evan Stone and Bree Olson have incredible chemistry, incredible acting abilities, and thus produce an incredible, award-worthy scene. There is something here for everyone who is into adult entertainment, and it finishes off this highly-anticipated film on a very high note.

Bonus Material / Other Options
The bonus material can be found on Disc Two and is plentiful and worthwhile. There is a digital download of the movie included which plays on portable devices; this is a major bonus for people on the go and who travel a lot. There is a great “BTS” feature that gives an honest portrayal of the on-set goings-on in the production of the film. This would be one of the best features of its type, but the sound is mismatched with the video, making it difficult to follow at times. There are also interviews with the director, Ernest Greene, and actresses, Kayden Kross and Bree Olson. There are two picture slideshows, one with stills from the movie and the other with behind the scenes stills; I found the latter more interesting, although it contains less pictures. There are also two bonus scenes. The first features actresses Carmen Luvana and Haley Paige; Carmen does anal in this one (condom). The second features Carmen Luvana and Justine; this is a lesbian scene. Both bonus scenes feature bondage themes, so they fit in well with the motif of the main feature. There is a section entitled “More Adult Fun” that primarily features advertisements for phone sex; there is a bit of guy-on-guy action in one of the ads here, so be forewarned if that type of thing bothers you. There are movie trailers in a separate section—the one for “Carolina Jones” stands out here. There is also an option that plays advertisements for Adam & Eve’s website(s) and various sexual aids. Overall, there are a LOT of excellent extras included here.

Closing Statement
Overall, this DVD delivers a lot of bang for the buck and some of the highest production values around. Additionally, it features beautiful women and erotic, sometimes even kinky, sex. Bree Olson’s and Evan Stone’s final scene alone would make the film worthwhile, but there is plenty here beyond that, as well. The plot and acting are far beyond what one normally finds in adult films, and the extras—particularly the bonus digital copy playable on portable devices—are top-notch. There are some clear shortcomings, too—some of the scenes go on a bit long, many of them close up too abruptly, and sometimes the moaning gets so loud that it’s borderline distracting. But, these are all relatively small in effect and don’t take much away from the work as a whole; they are minor detractions. In all, this DVD is definitely worth the price of purchase and may end up being considered a classic of the modern era.
