The Short Story

Initial Expectations: Michael Ninn makes some fantastic artistic porn, and I'm really looking forward to what he's put together here.

Initial Reaction: As usual with artistic porn it's a bit hit or miss, but there's some great style here that made this one work pretty well for me.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are on the artistic side, which is nothing new for Michael Ninn. The audio goes from being nearly music only to having a very nice balance between the music and the performers, and I didn't notice any background noises anywhere in the movie. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks very nice. It often has a soft, washed look that's very deliberate, as well as some nice care towards the lighting. The video also mixes in plenty of footage that's tinted or in black and white with none of the movie ever looking very clear and sharply presented like many viewers expect everywhere in today's movie world.

Music: The music, by Loren Alexander, is a big part of the movie. Although it's often well balanced with the rest of the audio, it's always noticeable and helps to give the movie a very sexy feeling.

False Advertising: Although the cover claims trailers are included among the extras, I couldn't find them anywhere on the DVD. This doesn't take much away from the DVD, but due to the false advertising claim I'm deducting a half point from the overall score.

Menus: The main menu works together the a pair of stills and the choices with a chapter menu that lets you choose between the prelude and the main action in each scene complete with the names of the girls in each scene and a clip from the scene.

The Feature

The Nymphetamine series keeps things fairly simple, or at least as simple as Michael Ninn gets. Each scene focuses on two beautiful women, and starts out with an opening with plenty of tease before letting the girls get together to work each other over both naturally and with toys. As usual with Michael Ninn, the scenes have a strong artistic style which drives them as much as the sex does.

Redhead Nikki descends an elegant helical staircase in a sexy dress and runs her hands around herself a little as she poses before sexy Latina Renee moves down the staircase behind her and puts on her own little show in addition to running her hands around Nikki. She kisses Nikki softly as her hands wander, and soon after Nikki's returning her soft passionate kisses as well as helping each of them to strip down a little. Nikki's clothes find their way off first so Renee moves down to lick her pussy as she leans against the staircase railing. She works Nikki to a nice orgasm and lets Nikki suck her fingers before they trade places so Nikki can happily strip Renee all the way down and then lick her way around her thigh and pussy. She adds in a little finger play as well and gives Renee a nice little orgasm before they get in a little more passionate kissing and a few smiles for the camera. A glass dildo comes out next that Renee runs around Nikki's body to tease her before sliding it into her pussy. This is a hot opening scene. As usual with Ninn there's plenty of eye candy and it's always on the artistic side. That said, the artistic nature of the scene doesn't take away from the sexuality between the girls, and there's very nice chemistry that still comes through it all. I also love the slight change to the color tone, as it reminded me slightly of a sepia tone but never went more than just a reminder. This is a very nice scene to open the movie.

The second scene starts out in black and white with brunettes Cassidey and Georgia both dressed in dark dresses as camera flashes go off. They pose by themselves as well as watching each other and coming together to kiss by a Greek styled column. They help each other strip down a little and mix in a little finger sucking with their kissing before the scene takes on a slightly washed, sepia toned look with Georgia kissing her way around Cassidey's pussy as Cassidey stands in front of her. They move to the floor where Cassidey rubs and licks Georgia's pussy in return before moving up so they can play with each other at the same time. They mix in a little more kissing before Georgia eats Cassidey and gives her some nice finger play. Georgia moves up to grind against her as they kiss, with Cassidey mixing in a few slaps for Georgia's ass as well as a little choking. Georgia gets on all fours for Cassidey to lick and finger her from behind before presenting herself for a little asslicking and more pussy play in the pile driver. Finally they hold each other close and kiss with a little more light play mixed in as the camera fades out.

This scene worked well for me. I really like the noirish look that this scene starts out with, and was actually a bit disappointed when it moved on to full color. There's very nice chemistry between the girls, and the little bit of choking, slapping, and ass licking helped to give it an edge that set it apart nicely from the other scenes. The action is well captured once again, and my only real complaint about the scene is that it felt like it might have had a little more to go due to the light play as the camera faded out. That's a fairly minor complaint here as this is another nicely enjoyable and very well presented scene.

As light brunette Carli works her way up a helical staircase, she stops at dark brunette Zoe halfway up and stops to kiss her passionately. Soon after, both girls are reduced to their panties with Carli on her knees licking and fingering Zoe's honey hole. This is an okay scene. The setting is nice and the girls are hot, but this scene never grabbed my interest like the previous scenes did. It still has the classy feel and decent chemistry between the girls, but the artistic style seemed to get in the way a little here and I just couldn't get past it. This scene is easy on the eyes, but just didn't work for me.

Brunettes Veronica and Cassidey kiss with both of them well dressed and their action playing out in black and white on a movie screen behind them. Cassidey drops down to start stripping Veronica down with her own clothes disappearing soon after before Veronica drops down to orally attack a dildo that Cassidey pulls out of her pants. Cassidey fucks her with the toy from behind before sitting on Veronica's face, and then moves down to grind their gashes together. Veronica breaks out the dildo to fuck Cassidey missionary style with the dildo before Cassidey sucks the toy clean as Veronica sucks her nipples and the camera fades out.

This is an okay scene. Cassidey and Veronica both look great, and they look to be having some nice fun between them. I really like the style of the scene, especially the action behind shown behind them in black and white. That said, there was something about this scene that never let me get completely into it. I could appreciate it, but I think there was so much about this scene that had the visual look of the previous scenes that it had a hard time keeping a unique feeling about it and started to run into the other scenes. This is an above average scene, but it just felt too much like the other scenes to get much beyond that.

As brunette Jenna dances in a little black dress in front of a bank of windows, bottle blonde Jayme watches her from behind in her own LBD. After a bit of eyeing her, Jayme moves in to kiss her with Jenna responding more than positively and taking a bit of control between them with some nicely aggressive kissing as their hands wander around each other. Jenna moves down to play with Jayme's pussy, slap her ass, and suck her tits, and comes up for another kiss before Jayme drops down to reciprocate. The girls also play with themselves while sitting next to each other and watching each other, and of course reach over to play with each other a bit as well. They go back to kissing and playing with each other lightly in front of the window and posing for a few photos being snapped both dressed and undressed.

This is a pretty good final scene. There's very nice chemistry between Jayme and Jenna, and I like how the scene takes its time getting started. I also really like how the scene is a bit brighter, and while it still had the same artistic feel as the rest of the movie, it had a much different look that set it apart from the others very well. At the same time, the action seemed a bit limited and drawn out, and left me constantly expecting more between the girls. This isn't a bad scene, and it does have some nice things going for it, but it also never felt like it lived up to its full potential.

Nymphetamine 2 is a pretty hot all girl release. As usual with Michael Ninn there's no shortage of artistic style when it comes to the presentation, and it rarely interferes with the action between the girls. I really like a lot of the style in the movie, although the locations and style were similar enough in some of the scenes that they did start to run together by the second half of the movie leaving the third and fourth scenes to drag a bit. That said, there is a nice bit of variety sexually between the girls, and I like that not every scene had to succumb to bringing in toys. At the same time, I would have liked a touch more variety with maybe a group scene or a touch of anal play instead of just a little rimming. Nymphetamine 2 is nicely done piece of heavily artistic all girl porn that isn't too bad of a follow-up to the original.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts about four and a half minutes with about four seconds per very nice looking snapshot. There's also a behind the scenes featurette.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts about twenty two and a half minutes and is by Chris King. After a few flashes around the set Cassidey chats and shaves while in a steamy shower. Renee is next, who shares a fantasy and talks about her shoot with Nikki and working with Michael before Nikki covers the same subjects while looking extremely cute sitting in a bathtub. Cassidey returns to talk about lactating with Jenna before Jayme talks about changing coasts, getting into the business, only doing girls, and music. Jenna returns to chat and show off while in the makeup chair before returning to Jayme for a little more sex and music talk. Cassidey and Veronica chat about what they might do for their scene after Veronica brings up some of Cassidey's pictures on like from when she was checking her out online. This is a nice behind the scenes featurette. You get plenty of personality from the girls, as well as some decent eye candy, and most of the cast participates. Yes, the questions are fairly standard most of the time, but the lactation talk definitely mixes things up a bit. This is a nice featurette that adds quite well to the overall DVD.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, Celluloid Addiction DVDs can be found online at most stores between about $15 and $25 with stores offering it everywhere in between. The low end is pretty good for what you get here. The action is artistic but doesn't lose sight of the sexuality between the girls. The technical aspects are fairly average due to the deliberate artistic effects, and there's some nice effort put into the extras with a nicely done behind the scenes featurette. This is a worthwhile all girl release.

Note to Celluloid Addiction: Thank you for putting such nice effort into all aspects of your DVDs. I hope you pay a little more attention to your boxcover claims in the future as I hate penalizing releases with as much care put into them as you do.
