The Short Story

Initial Expectations: This one has a great cast, but for some reason I just can't get too excited about it and I don't know why...

Initial Reaction: It's a fun movie with some hot sex, but at just under an hour and a quarter with no real extras it's a disappointing DVD.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting something fun and light

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting group sex or lesbian action

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is nicely done. It's clear and well balanced, and although there were a couple minor background noises, they weren't quite enough to really interfere with the movie. The video is pretty good. It's nicely lit and clear, but has a very basic look. It reminded me of a standard video camera with its clarity as well as the amount of jitters to it.

Music: There's music in each scene. It has a touch of a porno feel, but doesn't overdo it. It's also nicely balanced with the rest of the audio.

Menus: The main menu is okay, and blends a little animation with some okay animation and stills. The chapter menu shows a little nice care letting you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the name of the girl(s) in each scene. There's also a “Select a Star” menu which lets you choose a scene based on a cast photo and the names of the girls that takes you to a secondary menu where you can choose where to go sexually in each scene.

The Feature

Nut Busters keeps things simple. Each scene has a small lead-in to get it started, with the scenes appearing almost completely unrelated. The only thing that keeps the scenes together is that the couples get busted having sex in each scene.

Scene 1 – Lezley Zen and Kurt Lockwood

Kurt and Lezley kiss passionately as they burst through a doorway with Lezley trying to turn him down for sex because her parents are upstairs and they haven't dated long enough. Kurt wins her over with a little oral as he turns her around and pushes her against the banister to lick her from behind. They decide that her Dad's big knives cutting Kurt's balls off are worth the risk of getting caught as Lezley lies back on the staircase and lets Kurt tongue and finger her. This is a great scene! There's some nice humor to it, and not just due to the idea of Lezley still living at home at her age. The Dad with big knives talk was great, and having him show up at the door was just as fun. I love how they kept playing into that idea through the scene, which kicked it up another notch past where it would be with only the fantastic energy and chemistry between Lezley and Kurt. They really seem to be into each other, and keep the scene moving very well. Lezley and Kurt opened Nut Busters on a very high note for me.

Scene 2 – Shy Love and Steven St. Croix

Steven starts out at his desk admiring secretary Shy's ass with an angle and devil on each shoulder debating what he should do. When even the angel agrees that he should go fuck Shy up the ass and give her the Dirty Sanchez, Steven makes his move and lets Shy know that he thinks he found the raise she was wanting. After a little suggestive talk back and forth, Shy lies back on Steven's desk for him to tongue her holes as well as tickling her thigh with it. This is a pretty hot scene. There's some great humor once again as well as some very good chemistry. Steven and Shy seem to be into it quite nicely, but the scene falls a little short by only having two positions. Yes, the missionary is for both anal and vaginal, but even with Shy getting into the anal as well as she does it feels a little drawn out and not quite enough at the same time. This is a hot scene, but another anal position would have made it much better.

Scene 3 – Penny Flame and Randy Spears

Penny stops Randy from eating her pussy to ask him about whether or not he told his wife he was making love to her. She isn't happy that he lied to his wife, but when he explains that his wife didn't ask if he was fucking the shit out of her, she quickly shows her support for him and his honesty by having him trade places with her on the pool chair so she can suck his cock. This is another very enjoyable scene. The opening conversation with Penny and Randy is fun and starts things off right once again. There appears to be some very nice chemistry between them, with both Randy and Penny putting out some nice vocals. Penny also appears to try for some good eye contact, but sadly Randy seems to have “phantom head syndrome” as it's chopped off for much of the scene. This held back the scene a bit for me, and it was further hurt by some choppy editing. Even with those problems, this is still a pretty hot and enjoyable scene.

Scene 4 – Tiffany Taylor and Eric Masterson

Eric starts out the penultimate scene sending pictures of his dick going in and out of Tiffany to a buddy. When Tiffany points out that the only way his buddy would know it's really him is if he had a picture of Eric's dick, she agrees to let him fuck her again so he can pan up from a picture of his cock going in and out of her to his face. Tiffany attacks Eric orally before laying back so he can reciprocate with his tongue on her twat. They get in a passionate kiss before Tiffany slides her bald beaver over Eric's bone for a reverse cowgirl ride. This is another pretty hot scene. Tiffany looks great, and has some nice chemistry with Eric. The opening is fun, and it works right up to the ending. There's nothing special about this scene other than the setup, but it still works well.

Scene 5 – Sunny Lane and John West

Sunny starts out the final scene bending over a table as John tongues her from behind. She takes a finger full of frosting from the cake on the table and spreads it around his cock to lick up before letting him sit back and get a little more head. Sunny's rewarded with a little more tongue and finger action before climbing up to ride John reverse cowgirl style. This is an above average scene. As always Sunny looks fantastic and like she's having a great time, while John doesn't add much other than a hard cock. The touch of food play was okay, but was also something that I'm sure will frustrate more than a few food play fans. This is an okay scene to end things with.

Nut Busters is a fun little porno. The setups are amusing and there's some nice chemistry in the scenes. Lezley and Kurt started the movie out with what was easily the best scene in the movie, and it might be a toss up between Shy and Steven's anal scene and Penny and Randy's outdoor fucking for which was the weakest due to the lack of positions for Shy and Steven and some choppy editing and Randy's head being cut off for Penny's scene.

Although fun and enjoyable, Nut Busters does have some noticeable problems. To start with, the positions are very limited, with spooning and pile driving seeming like a sexual luxury in a couple of the scenes while most of the action is restricted to missionary, doggie and reverse cowgirl. Heck, there's not even any standard cowgirl in the movie! The camera work and editing also feel very basic. In all seriousness, the camera work struck me as being on the same level as a well done home video. The editing is also far from consistent, with some scenes feeling like they were well edited and others feeling like it was one of the first times somebody stepped into the editing bay. The biggest problem, however, was probably the easiest to fix. The movie only runs an hour and fourteen minutes! When a good portion of the movies out there are going over two and a half hours and two hours seems to be on the shy side for an average running time of a non-feature adult film, a running time of under an hour and a quarter makes the movie feel either like an afterthought or just something to push out to bring money in. Neither is a good thing, and the running time definitely brought down the overall rating for the movie.

Nut Busters is a good start of a fun fuck flick. There are fun setups and the chemistry is nicely done in the scenes, but there are also many places in the movie that seem a bit amateurish due to the camera work and editing. I wanted to really like Nut Busters, and if it would have lasted another half hour I think I probably would have.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts just over two minutes with about six seconds per good looking snapshot or full screen photo. Trailers are included for Barely Legal 55, Face Fucked 2, Heat, Butt Fuck, Hotsex.com, and Centerfolds 6. There's also commercials. Although there's a credit for behind the scenes in the closing credits, there was no behind the scenes featurette to be found anywhere on the DVD that I could see.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Hustler’s DVDs can be found online for between about $16 and $25 with stores offering it everywhere in between. Although this is an enjoyable movie, I just can't justify that kind of money for it. I mean, even with well done sex and decent technical aspects, it's still a DVD with no real extras and a movie that doesn't even last an hour and a quarter. Rent this one or try to find it cheap.

Note to Hustler: A few extras would have really helped this one out. Listing a credit for behind the scenes and then not including one on the DVD also makes this DVD look poor.
