Nurse Betty 2 Review

Note: There seems to be a bit of confusion as to the title of this feature. The cover makes it look like it’s supposed to be Nurse Betty #2. I don’t have any problem with this, except that there doesn’t appear to have been a Nurse Betty #1 (at least not by Omar Williams or VCA). The #2 in the title appears to be pointing to the fact that this is the second of Betty Swallock’s movies, especially because the movie claims to be Nurse Betty in the opening sequence. As most stores currently appear to be listing this movie as Nurse Betty #2 I’m listing it under that name, but since the movie actually appears to be Nurse Betty, I’m going to refer to it as that in this review. Hopefully Betty’s third movie will have a cover that’s designed a little better so there won’t be this confusion.

Initial Expectations: London’s Loose Lady wasn’t too bad as I recall, so I’m looking forward to this one as well.

Initial Reaction: It’s okay, but could have used another scene and another good editing.

Who Should Watch It : Raincoaters, fans of the Big Omar series, and anybody who wants fresh faces

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants obviously experienced performers

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is well balanced, but does have a few minor problems. Some of the audio is a bit on the hollow side due to the locations, which makes the dialogue hard to understand in places. Although there’s a few background noises, they often fit the scenes and don’t feel out of place. The video is much the same way, although it does have a few remnants that flash by now and then. It has some very slight grain and a few shadows, but normally looks very good. There’s a little bit of camera shake, but it fits the feel of the movie very well.

Music: None.

Menus: The menus are pretty standard here. The main menu is unanimated and the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip and the name of the leading lady in the scene.

The Feature: Betty Swollocks and her faithful assistant Dollie are back. This time Betty has a new job as a nurse. Apparently she thinks she has a chance at a job where she’s to make people feel good.

Betty starts out giving comatose patient Paul a tongue-bath. She sucks his cock and then brings him back by crawling up and sliding her pussy around his cock. Betty coaxes Paul out of the bed so he can fuck her from behind, as well as missionary style and spooning, before Dollie hands Betty a strap-on. Betty reams his ass in a couple positions before letting Paul have another turn at her pussy, and finally finishes things up with a bit of sixty-nining and a facial. It’s a pretty good scene, but it seems a little too laid back. I love that Betty works in a little anal for Paul, but it would have been much nicer to see her work him up to it with a little rimming and a finger. Neither Betty or Paul really get into the sex. You can see that they’re both enjoying themselves, but they’re very restrained and it holds the scene back from getting much above average.

Amelia, a decent looking brunette with a red dye job, shows up to help Betty when she sees her having problems making a bed. Before they get it made, however, Betty and Amelia start messing it up. Betty works Amelia over with her tongue, fingers, and the vibe that Dollie conveniently offers her before handing the vibe over to Amelia so she can take care of herself while Betty strips for her. Betty works Amelia over a bit more before letting Amelia reciprocate, and amazingly even use the vibe as a double dildo between them. They work through a bit of sixty-nine before Amelia finishes things up working the dildo into Betty’s ass before Dollie leaves them. It’s a pretty good scene, but seems a bit drawn out. The energy level isn’t the best here, but the girls do have some decent chemistry.

Betty takes on Nick, a black guy who’s starting to show a little grey, in the penultimate scene after they deal with a sick patient. They grope each other in the hallway before Betty works Nick out of his pants and into her mouth. Nick gives it to Betty in each of her holes, working her through several positions as he does so until he finally pulls out and pops on her bush. It’s another scene that’s a little above average, but not much. It’s very drawn out once again and feels like it could use another good editing.

Finally, Betty and Dollie watch as Sharon (listed in the chapter menu and cover as Holly Gold) takes on Omar Williams, who’s in a full body cast. They work each other over orally before Sharon works Omar through as many positions as possible without collecting any life insurance. Omar, who’s face is never shown, mostly concentrates on Sharon’s pussy, but she does let him work her ass over a bit near the end before he gives her a nice facial. It’s another scene that’s slightly above average. Sharon puts some nice energy into the entire scene, and it just has a fun feel to it with how bandaged up Omar is.

Nurse Betty is an okay movie. The spirit of the movie is very fun, but the execution is lacking a bit. The scenes all go on so long that I started to get bored with them, and felt a bit amateurish. Granted, this is some of the charm of Omar’s movies, but to have a fade out and fade in every time there’s a cut got old quickly. Some of the scenes getting old might have to do with the feel. The Big Omar series feels fresh and original, while everything in this one seems to be trying to imitate Omar. Granted, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but that’s normally when it’s done by something different. Seeing Omar do it here makes it feel like he’s trying to see just how far he can stretch an idea. That’s not to say that there’s nothing good about Nurse Betty. Betty Swallocks does a great job in the lead, and looks like she’s both into the sex and having a lot of fun. This helps Nurse Betty rise a bit above its problems, but still doesn’t let it get too far past an average movie.

Overall: Currently, most of the VCA Xplicit line can be found online for between $13 and $25 with a couple stores offering them near the low end. I’d aim for the low one for this one. The sex is decent, but very drawn out. The transfer is good, but there isn’t much for extras.
