North Pole 7 Review

Peter North's NORTH POLE series have gotten some mixed reviews among different adult circles throughout the world wide web. After reviewing volume number seven of this series, I am at a loss as to understanding why anybody would complain. This all-sex series takes a straightforward approach to its sex scenes, so those looking for a plot or theme would be better off with the latest VCA releases than with the simple set-ups presented here. Naturally, this series is named after The Porn Star Formerly Known as Matt Ramsey, who is also well-known for his prodigious resultant orgasms, which give new meaning to the term "pop-shot." Peter North has been in the business for nearly twenty years, and he is as recognizable as most of the industry's sex starlets when it comes to popularity. In my naivete, I always believed that he derived his name from the Peter Brady character, with whom he shares a somewhat close resemblance [don't laugh, I said "somewhat!"]. It wasn't until years later that I finally understood the meaning of his name. Yes, porn reviewers can be complete morons, too.

Anyhow, I really did not have high expectations with NORTH POLE #7, especially after all the mixed press. To me, Mr. North's best work had long been in the past, and with the proliferation of condoms and avoidance of oral cumshots, I really wondered how he could possibly match up to his amazing facials with Francesca Le in HARD DRIVER, and with Gina Valentino in TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, and with Tori Welles in NIGHT TRIPS and CHAMELEON. Well, in this DVD, he doesn't...but as it turns out, NORTH POLE #7 turns out to be a surprsingly great little video! What makes this video work is the gorgeous line-up of stars featured in this video, including the blonde and breathtakingly beautiful Silvia Saint, and the jaw-droppingly sexy brunette Jewel DeNyle. Even better, condoms are used sparingly in the various couplings, and oral cumshots are plentiful (though not from Mr. North).

As director of this video, Peter gets the first shot at the absoutely drop-dead gorgeous Kate More, who looks even better in the movie than she does on the cover. Whether she is sucking him dry, or riding him like a rhinestone cowgirl, Kate is simply eye-batting during her casting couch performance with Mr. North. Since condoms are used, I knew that we would also be denied a cum facial, and sure enough, Mr. North chooses an orgasmic trajectory which shoots across her stomach and chest. Despite the presence of rubbers, this scene shines thanks to Ms. More. Her all-natural body and raven-hair is a nice change of pace from the overly-artificially- endowed peroxide blondes populating most of today's porn.

Silvia Saint and Evan Stone also do the wild thing in the very next scene. Since European import Silvia is already a sexual legend, nothing really needs to be said about her typically excellent work, which is well-demonstrated here. Again, Silvia's natural beauty and absence of any silicone is refreshing and makes this condom-less scene all the more enjoyable. Tiffani-Amber Thiessen lookalike Jazmine assumes some pseudo- Max Hardcore positions in her straight scene with Nacho Vidal, while thin blonde Kylie Kooper also performs a great guy-girl scene with Fabian. Despite the absence of any girl-girl scenes in this video, I was impressed by the consistency in eroticism and heat generated by every scene on this disc.

The final vignette is a mini-gangbang of sorts featuring the stunning Jewel De' Nyle, who gets it on with three different guys, including the human beercan himself. As multiple-partnered sexual encounters go, I prefer to see more women and less guys in any given scene (the exception would have to be Anabolic's GANGBANG GIRL series). However, this little foursome is very well-done, and condoms are used by only one guy throughout. Also, Jewel allows a full oral shot to the mouth courtesy of and from the director, which is shown in slow-motion. A great ending to an simply great movie.

This video quality is crystal clear, and the camera is always perfectly positioned to capture all the great action. The extras on this disc include the standard trailers of other New Sensations releases and a photo gallery. These bonuses are certainly nothing special, but they're always nice to have, if only for novelty sake.

I have not seen any other of the NORTH POLE DVD releases, but this edition has now piqued my interest. In particular, volume number five features the incredible Inari Vachs, and if her scene there is equal in quality to any of the scenes in this edition, then it would definitely be a must-buy for me. This is one hot release.
