Initial Expectations: I’ve had mixed luck with this series, so I’m not quite sure what to expect.

Initial Reaction: It’s pretty hit or miss, but I’m glad I watched it.

Who Should Watch It : Fans of Peter North and hot sex without worrying about things like a plot

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants really high production values or a plot

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is pretty average. It’s slightly unbalanced in quite a few places and the range and tone changes a little throughout the scene. The video is much better. It’s very clear but there’s a little garbage in the picture in a few places and it suffers a little in places due to the lighting being a little off. There’s also quite a bit of slow motion throughout the feature, which I always find annoying.

Music: The music varies a little throughout the scene, but is normally on the lighter side of porn music. Unfortunately it gets a little loud here and there but also has spots where it can barely be heard.

Menus: The menus are very simple and don’t even have any animation, with the exception of the chapter menu which has a clip of the scene that you use to choose the scene.

The Feature: Several years ago Peter North saw some of the writing on the wall and started up his own series, North Pole. In it Peter mixes together some scenes that have a few small setups and some scenes which just have straight ahead sex.

Jewel De’Nyle starts things out right away with Peter North. It’s advertised on the cover as being Jewel’s first anal scene. It’s a nice change to see a company give you what they’re advertising and what most people are watching for right away rather than making you scan through the entire movie for it. After a little setup about Jewel wanting Peter in her ass and Peter thinking about her ass, Peter and Jewel get it on on Peter’s yacht. Jewel looks amazing here, and I think she looks much better here than she does recently. Peter comes over to suck on her tits a little before moving down to tongue her clit. She begs him to finger her also, but he refuses, telling her that she has to wait for something bigger. She returns the oral favor by sucking Peter’s cock before climbing onto his lap and sticking it in her snatch. Jewel gives Peter a good fucking, while nicely showing off her great ass to the camera, before turning around for Peter to fuck her ass. She lets him fuck her from behind before making the cameraman happy by switching to reverse cowgirl and spooning later. Peter finishes it off by coating Jewel’s face with his guy goo and then letting her suck out the last few drops. It’s a long scene that’s very hot scene and has great chemistry. Jewel handles her ass fucking every bit as good here as she handles anal scenes now, over two years later.

Carmen, a cute Latin girl with great real tits, and Olivier Sanchez start out the next scene with a little kissing and some talking in Spanish. Olivier surprises Carmen by fulfilling her fantasy of having sex with two men by bringing in Chris Cannon. It’s a very hot scene that has some very good chemistry.

Melody Love and Teanna Kai change gears a little for the next scene and take it in a much more feminine direction. Melody finds Teanna laying out in the shade and rubs her down with a little lotion. Of course, things move into a much more naked direction as the girls work each other over with their tongues, fingers, and toys. They trash talk back and forth very well while probing and prodding each others’ holes and dominating each other. It’s a very fun scene with great chemistry and a lot of heat. I had a smile on my face through a lot of the scene just from the banter between the girls as they worked each other over, and it only got better with the hot sex. Unfortunately, the scene ends very abruptly, feeling like it could easily go on for several more minutes. It’s a common problem among all girl scenes, and sadly brings down most of the scenes. Even brought down with the horrible ending this scene’s a winner.

Whiny little punk J. J. Michaels bugs his girlfriend Vivi Anne, an average looking redhead, about being late to see Peter North and then decides he’d like to nail her since they’re going to be three hours late anyway. Rather than put up with him whining like a third grade girl about something new she drops down to suck his cock. She seems a little unsure of herself and doesn’t really put too much into it. Things get a little better, but not much, as Vivi Anne comes to like a bit with J. J. fucking her. They go through a couple positions before J. J. lets go around her mouth. It’s a very skippable scene and you can find better chemistry in your refrigerator.

Peter North finishes things off with a little candy. Candy Kiss that is, who just happens to be a fairly good looking bleached blonde. Pete fearlessly dives into her muff with his fingers and face before switching positions with her so she can work his manhood over with her mouth. They both get into both giving and receiving pretty well, but Candy’s oral skills are a little disappointing.

I admit that I didn’t come into North Pole 10 expecting too much. What I’d seen from the rest of the series has been a pretty mixed bag. After watching North Pole 10, however, the series is really growing on me. There’s some really great scenes here, with great heat and chemistry, especially in the scene between Melody Love and Teanna Kai. The scenes also don’t suffer technically like some of the other scene’s I’d watched. The cast seems to be enjoying themselves, which can raise up almost any feature. Despite a few problems, North Pole 10 is a winner of a feature, and a great place for people to start with this series.

Overall: Currently, North Pole 20 can be found online for between $15 and $25 with most stores offering it for under $20. The lower end is a very fair price for what you get here. The sex is a mixed bag, but has some very hot scenes that overshadow the dud. The transfer is pretty good, but the extras are a little on the light side.

Note to Digital Sin: A little more attention to some of the details, like a consistent audio level for the music, would help this out quite a bit.
