The Short Story

Initial Expectations: Bondage flicks are pretty hit or miss for me. I'm not sure what to expect.

Initial Reaction: The overall DVD and editing are a bit weak, but the movie has a surprising amount of chemistry and enjoyment that made it really easy to get into.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting all girl bondage with chemistry

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting a major focus on the pain aspect

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are a little below the average level and pretty comparable to what you'd get on a VHS tape. The audio is well balanced, but there is a bit of a hiss in the background. The video is presented in the full screen format. There's a little grain and it's a little dark. There's also an offcolored bar at the bottom of the screen that's a little too noticeable.

Music: None

Menus: The main menu has a little animation and a few photos that give an okay first impression. The chapter menu is very basic and let you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number.

The Feature

Cindy and Kate enjoy being tied up. Here they each take a turn being in control while the other submits to them inside a kind of split rail fence. After the girls each get a turn there's a couple minutes of behind the scenes footage with the girls.

Scene 1 - Cindy and Kate Cassidy

Cindy, a slender brunette with long hair and a pierced nose, starts out in a pair of red panties with a bellychain and a black and chain bra tied to a wooden fence. She's joined by dirty blonde Kate who's in a little fetishy blue and black outfit and who admires her and her hair. She pulls it back out of Cindy's face while commenting how one can really get a hold of it before pulling it up and out of the way with a rope and moving back in front to pinch and suck Cindy's nipples. She also gives them a pair of nipple clamps with plenty of playful tugging before moving on to let her have metal clips on her nipples and breasts. Cindy moans and breathes heavily through it all, and lets Kate know how good it hurts when she asks before Kate threads a chain through the clips and works them off with a bit of kissing, first slow and then fast. Kate also lets her clips and chain work between Cindy's tongue and pussy and even breaks out a romantic candle for a little hot wax treatment after giving Cindy a ball gag. Cindy's pussy is slapped with a crop next, and Kate continues to slap her way around Cindy with it and a small cat o nine tails while removing the clips and afterwards while mixing in a little bit of loving kissing. Cindy's flipped over so Kate can slap her ass by hand and with a flogger until Cindy breaks free and starts to turn the tables on her. Cindy bends Kate over the rail with Kate happily going with it and letting Cindy flog her ass as she moans and gives a few great giggles of enjoyment. Finally, the scene ends with Cindy deciding she should be dressed a bit more appropriately.

This is a pretty hot scene. There's some nice chemistry between the girls and a great feeling that the scene is all in play with both girls having a lot of fun. This almost makes this a kind of romantic all girl bondage scene, and I really enjoyed that feeling. The only thing that really held it back is the editing, which is more than a little rough and left me feeling like I missed a fair amount of the action. That always holds a scene back for me, but thankfully with how well the girls were into each other it didn't hold it back too badly. This scene had some definite faults, but I still really got into it.

Scene 2 - Cindy and Kate Cassidy

Cindy returns in a purple rubber dress leading Kate in on all fours by the hair wearing a red and black bikini with her black dress boots. She has Kate get in the little fenced in area and compliments her on how good she looks before having Kate polish her dress. Cindy has Kate bend back over the rail so she can flog her ass again before having her turn around and show her her tits so she can return the attention of the little cat o nine tails. She continues to work Kate over with a paddle and even makes her worship her shoes before blindfolding her. She gives her a few kisses before working a massager around her to tease as well as please, and even mixes in a little hot wax. Finally, the scene comes to an end with both girls looking like they're satisfied with the jobs they did.

This is another very nice scene. The chemistry is just as good here as it was in the opening scene, and the girls are just as good in their reversed roles. I really like how some of the action played off the action in the opening scene with Kate getting a touch of pleasurable revenge. This scene is just as hot as the opening scene.

No Pain No Gain is a surprisingly hot bondage title. The girls are pretty average looking, but also have a sultry feeling about them that quickly drew me in. The girls have great chemistry with each other, and although this is a bondage release there's a definite feeling of enjoyment and playfulness throughout the entire movie. The focus comes off being more on the enjoyment of how they're being treated than on the pain aspect, which was a major surprise to me since the title actually put me off of watching this one for a long time making me think it was going to be a more sadistic bondage release. The action also moves along nicely, and even plays off itself a bit as they trade roles. The only real problem with the release is the editing. As usual with bondage releases it's a bit dark, but this is the choppiest editing I've seen in a bondage release in a long time. I couldn't help but feel like the movie could have lasted another fifteen minutes, and with how much chemistry was coming out between the girls that left the movie falling a bit short. No Pain No Gain could have used a lot of help in the editing bay, but still came out as a very enjoyable and romantic bondage release.

The photo gallery lasts roughly two and a half minutes with about ten seconds per okay at best snapshot. Bios are included for Kate Cassidy and Cindy. There's also internet information and boxcovers.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Noose's DVDs can be found online for between about $10 and $20 with a few stores offering them near the low end. If you like bondage with chemistry and pleasure, this one's going to be well worth the money, especially near the low end. The action is very enjoyable and almost romantic, but the extras and technical aspects fall a bit short. This release definitely has some faults, but I couldn't help but really enjoy the movie.

Note to Noose: You might want to put a little more effort into naming your movies. With a title like No Pain No Gain I have a feeling that you're avoiding a fair amount of those who might really like this one while also drawing in those who aren't wanting this type of bondage release. You might also want to break the behind the scenes footage into an extra to help out the overall DVD.
