• Offers little information that could not be found with a quick web search

Overall:
I have respect for educational porn, but this DVD lacks in quantity and quality of information. It lacks in quality of information because it offers little that could not be found with a simple web-search and most of the information is not provided with the porn. The beginning segment consists of Nina and Carmen sitting on a couch, telling viewers about erotic bondage. Not many people need to know that there should be a way out of the bondage in case of emergency, a ‘safe’ word should be established, and bondage should only be consensual. And people who don’t know that probably aren’t going to be doing a web search for this product. (Can you imagine someone saying “Consensual? Damn! That is what I have been doing wrong all along! Thanks Nina! I will immediately stop my bad bondage etiquette). Jokes aside, even if people don’t know that they can easily find that information on the internet. It may be more visually appealing to have Nina and Carmen tell you it, but how much do you want to pay for that? Unfortunately, while that information is presented there is little information about bondage equipment/devices and different positions to bind someone.

After the lesson, there is the actual porn. People may have different views of the quality of that porn, but I think most would agree that it is lacking in quantity. There are only two scenes, though they are fairly long. The first includes Nina Hartley and Randy Spears, where Nina takes the dominant role. The second includes Carmen Luvana and Tommy Gunn. Carmen plays the submissive. Both scenes play out like couples porn, which is understandable, but neither is all that informative. Restraints are pretty much limited to leather and the restraints range from somewhat limiting movement to being almost non-existent. The noticeable difference is when Carmen is wearing a sheath around her arms that pulls them behind her, but it is only presented visually and after it has been applied. Nina does provide some information in her scene, but not much and even then part of it is information about anal sex and, arguably, pussy licking.

Bottom line: Probably an incredible disappointment for most bondage fans, most curious about bondage, and for those looking to be informed about bondage. But, it may be good for those trying to get their partners into bondage and/or trying to get them to watch some porn.
