NOTE: This is an amateur video. Amateur and homemade movies don’t have the budget nor the resources of studio porn, and therefore rarely get close to the same quality technically. I’m rating this DVD on the same scale, but most homemade or amateur features would rarely make it above a 3 on the standard scale I use for studio porn for their technical aspects. The performers also aren’t normally the ‘glamour stars’ one expects from studio porn, and instead use people who look like somebody you might encounter in your day to day life. Finally, the camera work has a different feel, as it’s often shot from a tripod or with somebody who doesn’t have the technical training or experience of professional cameramen. That said, amateur and homemade features have a great charm to them, simple because the people in them are doing what they’re doing to have fun and because they enjoy it. All the things that separate them from studio porn contribute to that charm, I hope people will keep that in mind when checking out this review and not just look at the ratings as the ultimate word on this release. Since the technical aspects are normally lacking and there normally isn’t much for extras in amateur features, I’ve weighted my overall rating more heavily towards the sex than I do in most studio porn.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty average for a homemade movie. The audio is pretty well balanced and the only background noises are a few camera noises and Nikki's hubby talking from behind the camera. The video is presented in the full frame format, and leaves a bit more to be desired than usual. There's very little camera shake, but there's a flashing line along the bottom edge that did distract me a bit. It isn't a completely uncommon line for those of us with a few cheap VHS tapes, but it is a distraction. There's also a bit of digital breakdown that's all too noticeable. Amateur porn can be dangerous to go into with high expectations for the technical aspects, but this one falls to the average level I've seen of all amateur porn instead of being the higher quality I normally expect with Shot at Home.

Watermark Warning: Although the normally don’t bother me much, there is a small and tasteful watermark warning that stays in the lower left corner. This made it very easy to filter out for me, and quite honestly, I didn’t notice it unless I thought about it.

Menus: The menus are pretty simple. The main menu keeps Shot at Home’s usual style with their logo and a photo from the movie. The chapter menu is also simple, and lets you choose where to go in the movie based on six stills.

The Feature

Scene 1 – Nikki SinClair

Nikki starts the action out stripping down and reaching into the shower to grab a dildo to suck. The hubby's commentary also interfered with the action for me a bit, and since the camera never seemed to move I was never quite sure why he was there. I think this scene could have actually been improved with an unmanned tripod, and gave the movie a very lukewarm start for me.

Scene 2 - Nikki SinClair

After getting out of the shower, Nikki spreads out a town on the floor by some candles, puts on an animal print robe and some fuzzy high heeled slippers, and lies back to fuck herself with the red dildo again. This is another okay scene. The location is much nicer with the candles and mirror being a very nice touch, and the hubby is much quieter. That said, Nikki doesn't get into things that much more which doesn't let the scene improve much from the last one. This is another scene that just didn't seem to have much of a spark.

Scene 3 - Nikki SinClair and her husband

Nikki starts the third scene in a red and black bra, black fishnets, and playing around a bit with a red boa. Her gray haired hubby lubes her ass up with his finger as she gets on all fours on the edge of the bed before sliding his cock right into her ass with no warm up whatsoever. This is an okay scene at best. I really like the realistic anal with Nikki getting her ass play with a little as it gets lubed up, but beyond that the scene didn't do a lot for me. Although the camera is obviously left on the tripod that wasn't really the fault here. The problem here was that the scene was overly short and just didn't seem to go anywhere. This scene just didn't do anything for me.

Scene 4 - Nikki SinClair

This is a hot solo scene. It has a much more natural feel than the previous masturbation scenes, and doesn't have anything to interfere with it like the hubby talking, Nikki really seems to get into it this time, which quickly drew me into the scene, and might even have a real orgasm. This is a hot solo scene with some nice shaving action thrown into it as well.

Scene 5 - Nikki SinClair and her husband

Nikki starts out the next scene in a pair of black stockings and panties and breaks out a sexy black corset that she puts on. Her hubby might have helped things out if he would have brought something to the table, but having the stamina of an egg timer just doesn't help the scene out. Nikki tries to act hot about drinking the cum, but instead it came off as corny and had me laughing out loud. This scene just didn't do it.

Scene 6 - Nikki SinClair

Not surprisingly, this scene didn't do a lot for me. That said, it is one of the better scenes in the movie. Once again Nikki gets into working herself over quite nicely, but by this scene I had had more than my fill of female masturbation. This is one of the better scenes in the movie, but with how much other masturbation action was in the movie it had a hard time getting anywhere with me.

Nikki: Grandma is a Whore just didn't work for me. As stupid as I know this sounds, a big part of my problem was Nikki's age, which I was a little afraid of at first. I still decided to check it out for the simple reasons that I've very rarely found a Shot at Home title I haven't liked and I do like to challenge myself with something different or borderline now and then. This is one of those titles. The bigger problem with the movie for me than Nikki's age was the action itself. It does get better as it goes on, but the hubby's comments as they start really held the movie back for me right away. The lack of actual fucking and cocksucking also held the movie back for me. Shot at Home does a great job letting you know what their movies are going to be like, and although there's a nice breakdown of the action there I expected it to be a bit more balanced. Instead, I'm not sure there's ten whole minutes of cocksucking and fucking out of the entire movie that lasts not even an hour and ten minutes. That leaves Nikki: Grandma is a Whore being a movie that should mostly appeal to fans of female masturbation, which I can't say I'm much of, and especially to fans of female masturbation with women who are getting close to drawing social security. That leaves Nikki: Grandma is a Whore with a very small market that I'm not a part of. If you're part of that market, however, Nikki: Grandma is a Whore should definitely be worth your time and money.

Currently, most DVDs can be found for about $20 at Shot at Home's website. If you're a fan of women over fifty masturbating, this one is going to be well worth your money. There's a little sex, but almost all of the movie is dedicated to solo action. The technical aspects are a bit low even by amateur standards, but as usual Shot at Home puts in a little effort into the extras. This is a DVD that didn't work that well for me but still shows a bit of care.

Note to Shot at Home: No, this one didn't work for me, but it's great to see you putting out movies for some people that nobody else really seems to pay attention to.
