Neighbors (Wicked) Review

So, how is Michael Raven's newest addition to the Wicked library? And how is Stormy's latest writing effort? Well, it's not what you would expect.

The Movie: Anyone looking for good hardcore action should stop reading right now. This movie is VERY tame.

The story is this: Stormy has just been dumped by her long time boyfriend, and is still trying to get over it. Well, when Barret moves in across the street, he kind of helps. We also are introduced to the rather odd inhabitants of Stormy's neighborhood as the story progresses.

There are five sex scenes, and all of them are short.

The first is between Evan Stone and Nicky. This scene stands out for one major reason. Both people in the scene are wearing snorkaling (sp?) gear. So, she goes down on him, his flippers flapping around. Then they go in to reverse cowgirl, then in to a scissor position, and then he pops on her goggles. The scene is really short, and hardly graphic.

The next scene is a lesbian scene between Nicole Sheridan and Exotica. The scene lasts all of two minutes. It is very well shot though, and the music is great. Still, not really wank material.

After that Stormy has a scene with I want to say Mark Wood (not sure). Again this scene is really pretty short. They have her on top, facing him, and then her on her back, and him standing fucking her. He pops on her chest.

We then have a scene between Roxanne Hall and Eric Masterson. I thought the scene was cute. There is some spanking, and then a quick fuck. Guys who really don't want to see another guy's ass for a prolonged period of time may get turned off by this scene, because it starts with Eric laying across Roxanne's lap, ass in the air, as she spanks him, and licks his butt cheek.

The final scene is between Barret and Stormy. The scene is a decent length, and has good heat. Still, nothing special.

So, if the sex is so blah, why did I give it a four? The movie is just so damn cute! The story is nice, and cute, and sweet. The acting is good and funny. The script is tight. The direction is great, and in the end, it all comes together. It isn't some huge epic, but it has something a lot of adult films lack. The movie has a good sense of humor, and a little bit of heart. I thought it was great!

Plus, the movie is perfect for couples just starting off in the world of porn. The sex isn't soft, but it isn't in your face. Everyone is attractive, not just the girls. Plus, it isn't just a lot of random fucking. Most of the sex is between couples in the movie, and stays that way. There is no cheating, no threesomes. Everything is in the realm of reality. A very goofy reality.

Special note should be given to Evan Stone and Voodoo (in a non-sex role). Both guys are hilarious in their roles. Evan plays the bizarro goof ball to a tee, and Voodoo seems to be having a blast playing the "lover boy" next door Juan.

It also helps that the romance between Stormy and Barret is given time to build. They don't just jump at each other, but instead have a nice little bit of romance first. It was handled very well. So when we finally do get to the sex scene, it feels more natural, more romantic, and much hotter than it would have been if they had just fucked at random. This is in part to some good writing. Stormy continues to impress me with her writing skills.

Tech Stuff: The picture and sound are near flawless. The music is a bit jumpy, but that's due to poor post production mixing.

Extras: The disc is packed with behind the scenes sex footage, an All Access making of feature, tons of interviews, a nice little piece of cheesecake fluff called "Getting Wet", a look at the cat fight scene, and an extra sex scene. You also get the normal Wicked material. You get a lot for your money here.

OverAll: This is a good, easy going romantic comedy. Anyone who is just getting in to porn, or is looking for something that isn't going to test your limits should pick up this movie. Also, anyone looking for an adult movie that is perfect for showing their girlfriend or their wife should grab this one. I recommend it highly.
