Initial Expectations: What I've seen of this series has been very good, but I've never seen Naughty America put any effort into their overall DVDs. I'm expecting another good collection of scenes without any care put into anything else.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects don't quite make the average mark. The audio is pretty clear, but due to an audio level that isn't too consistent and a balance that's sometimes a bit weak, some of the audio is hard to hear. The video is presented in the full frame format, and is also very weak. The lighting is pretty well done, but there's a fair amount of very noticeable pixelation in some of the scenes (which sadly seems pretty normal for Naughty America). There's also a bit of jumpiness to the picture in one of the scenes that was very distracting.

Music: None

Disc Complaints / Authoring Notes: The authoring is a bit funky, which doesn't seem to be anything too unusual with Naughty America. Rather than having the entire movie on a title that makes it easy for viewers to skip to where ever they choose in the movie, which is extremely nice if you get tired of a scene and just want to jump ahead randomly or if you're viewing the movie later and want to go to a specific point in the movie, each scene has its own title, similar to how some studios run their TV shows on DVD. Needless to say, this makes the DVD extremely hard to navigate. This style of authoring has thankfully gone the way of the dodo with most studios, but Naughty America and Homegrown seem to be sticking with it. Both studios are distributed by Pure Play (along with Hundies, who looks like they might have moved away from this style recently, and who actually include unique extras on their releases) and neither studio seems to be willing to put any real effort into their extras. Seeing that lack of care in the same areas for two studios being distributed by the same company I can't help but think that the problem and lack of care lies with Pure Play Media more than anything, especially when I talked with Naughty America at Erotica LA and was told they were looking at ways to improve their overall DVD and that I'd be seeing some changes in a few months. I realize these things don't happen overnight, or that one won't even see the difference in a few weeks, but I was told that several months before this DVD was produced. Combined with the downward slide of their video quality, I can't help but have the impression that they don't really care that much about the quality of their DVDs as long as a few people are willing to pay for them. I'm deducting a half point from the overall DVD for the poor authoring on this DVD.

Menus: The main menu works through a few clips from the movie for an okay first impression that seems a touch generic. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a still of the girl(s) in each scene along with their name(s). After you choose a scene you're given a second menu to let you choose where you want to go in the scene sexually.

The Feature

You may love them or you may hate them, but you know you're going to have to see your neighbors sometime. That makes it all so easy and all so hard to get a little extra something on the side with them. Maybe it starts with a friend who's helped you out a few times or maybe you need something from them. Here, Naughty America collects five of those instances from their internet line.

Scene 1 – Austin Kincaid and Alex Gonz

I'm actually a little surprised that this didn't turn into an anal scene with how it was going, but even as it is it's completely satisfying. This is yet another scene that worked very well for me.

Scene 5 – Eden DeGarden, Alex Sanders, and Chris Cannon

After losing the basketball game, Alex is none too happy with Chris not picking up his guy. The camera work got a little tight for my tastes, here, but with how hot the action was it was never enough to interfere with the scene too much for me. This is another hot and very well done scene.

Neighbor Affair 6 is quite possibly the best Naughty America release I've seen so far. The setups are all very nicely done, and in addition to working great to start building chemistry between the performers they often have a bit of humor. That's always a nice thing, but even nicer is having smoking hot sex and that's where Neighbor Affair 6 really shines. Almost every scene here is smoking hot, and although it's hard to pick a best scene here, Randi Wright's scene comes in as the weakest quite possibly due to coming in after Sasha Grey, Rachel Roxxx, and Tommy Gunn's smoking hot threesome. There's some nice intensity in the group scenes here that really surprised me, and the level of passion that comes out in almost every scene is also very impressive. Neighbor Affair 6 is a very hot release with plenty of well done setups.

Currently, most of Naughty America’s DVDs can be found online for between about $15 and $27 with most stores offering them under $20. Aim for the low end here. Yes, it's Naughty America so there's absolutely no care put into the extras and the technical aspects don't quite make the average level. That said, the scenes are all a lot of fun and the sex is very hot in every one. This could have been a great DVD is somebody would have put a little care into it.

Note to Naughty America: If you're going to put out bare bones DVDs without any effort, please put them out at a price low enough for stores to sell them at a price that would reflect that kind of product. Giving the guys credit as well as the ladies would also be nice, especially when you're aiming at the couples market as strongly as you are.
