Initial Expectations: So far I’ve found most of Roy Karch’s movies to be about as enjoyable as trying to get on TV with the help of a video camera, a five year old, some baseball equipment, and no cup. I’m hoping this is better than that, but not really expecting it.

Initial Reaction: I wonder if I can talk the five year old into some Nerf equipment.

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody looking for sex that lives up to its full potential

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is clear and has a decent balance. Unfortunately, the level changes a bit in places so some of the feature is hard to hear. The video has some very slight grain, but is nicely lit.

Music: Oddly, the music starts out nicely balanced with the rest of the audio, and gets louder as the feature goes on until it dominates the scene. It has the typical porno style with a nice beat to it and there’s also some music in the non-sex portions that you’ve probably heard before.

Menus: The main menu has a little animation that gives it a good first impression. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of the scene, and also lets you jump directly to the pop shot.

The Feature: Inari things her marriage to Kyle Stone is in trouble. He’s always working, and barely gives her a wham, bam, thank you ma’am. After discussing it with her friend Elizabeth X., she starts to consider taking a lover.

Inari Vachs and Kyle Stone start things out with a slow-motion softcore scene as the opening credits roll by. Roy Karch has used this style opening in many of his features, and it has yet to do anything but bore me and make me want to reach for the remote. This is probably the best slow motion opening I’ve seen from Roy, and it actually looks like Kyle puts some decent effort into trying to fake the internal orgasm at the end of the scene.

Kristal Summers, an overly implanted bottle blonde, teams up with Ian Daniels to give Natural Selection its first real scene. They exchange oral favors before Kristal starts riding Ian in reverse cowgirl, which should be no surprise since I think roughly a third of what I’ve seen from Mr. Karch is in this position. Ian moves on to fuck Kristal doggie style before decorating her face. It’s a pretty good scene with nice energy and very good chemistry. It’s not in the realm of really good, but it is decent and has some realistic feeling sex.

Summer Storm starts off the next scene sucking off Dino Bravo aka Dino the Dinosaur. He returns the favor with some labia lapping before fucking her from behind and in the required reverse cowgirl. She finally finishes things taking Dino’s guy goo on her face. Summer does a very good job here, and puts in some nice energy to make this another nice scene.

Elizabeth X takes on Inari’s husband, Kyle Stone, after Inari confides with her about her marriage problems. Elizabeth, a very hot redhead, meets Kyle as he comes out of the shower, tells him about Inari being unhappy, and then lifts herself up on the counter so Kyle can tongue her twat and tailpipe. Elizabeth moves to ride Kyle cowgirl style, but he quickly turns her around into RC (you can take you’re pick whether that’s for reverse cowgirl or Roy Karch). They continue in missionary and doggie before decorating Elizabeth’s back. It’s a pretty hot and energetic scene, that makes me happy Elizabeth X is doing more movies.

Inari Vachs fantasizes about banging Steve Hatcher in a park for the penultimate scene. After the camera tries using X-Ray vision to shoot through a tree, the cameraman decides to move to a new location so you can actually see Inari’s amazing oral skills as she works on Steve’s schlong. Of course she starts out riding him reverse cowgirl with the camera focusing on the close-up so you can’t see that initial look of bliss come across her face, before moving on to missionary and taking his spooge spray on her tits. It’s a pretty good scene, but the camera work held it back a long way from what it could have been.

Brett Rockman gets a piece of Justine Romee in the final scene. She sucks and tit-fucks him to warm him up before laying back so he can let his tongue and fingers do the walking across her pussy. Due to some strange act of God, they start in missionary before moving on to fuck standing up. Unlike the other scenes, this one doesn’t concentrate heavily on close-ups. Instead it works with distance shots that make Justine and Brett look like they’re on the other end of a basketball court. I can understand wanting to do this with Brett, but Justine is always enjoyable to watch. She finishes things up trying to take Brett’s nut butter on her face, but he has problems getting it that far. It’s a pretty average scene that should have been much better.

Natural Selection shows why many people make fun of couples features. First, there’s the plot, which is near non-existent and not done. Then there’s the sex. The sex has some nice chemistry, but often seems like it’s trying so hard to stay tame that it gives itself a pop in the eye. The camera work isn’t that bad, but often cuts off some of the bodies to give the screen a very cramped feeling. The editing is much the same, with cuts so long that it’s easy to get bored with the feature. Although Karch’s features seem to be aimed at the couple newly venturing into porn, I’ve found them to be poor for just these reasons. Here, the plot also makes it fairly unsuitable. Many couples wanting a feature of this style wants something to get them into the mood, and stories about somebody’s significant other cheating on them with one of their best friends isn’t going to do that. Also, most of the scenes don’t have anything to do with the plot. This is all really sad since there’s a lot of talent in the cast and they deserve better than this. I think Inari is one of the best actresses out there, and Elizabeth X and Justine Romee also impress me a lot. Here they all seem like they’re mostly passing the time. I don’t think Natural Selection is going to live too long in anybody’s mind.

Inari and Kyle finish out the feature with another softcore scene. Since it’s not really a scene and doesn’t even show the effort of the opening “scene”, I don’t really count it as a scene. It is a very big letdown since it looks like it’s going to be another scene with the immensely talented Inari.

The photo gallery contains twenty nice looking photos. You get a small glimpse of each photo in snapshot form, and then can blow it up to near full screen size to see all of it.

The bonus scene features Evan Stone and Kristina Black in a scene from X Professionals. Kristina looks extremely hot in a red PVC outfit, and knows just what she wants on the hood of the nearby Mercedes. She starts to strip down on the car, and continues as Evan eats her pussy a little as she’s hoisted up above his head so he can lick her. He sets her back on the hood and attacks her pussy through her panties. Kristina’s panties come off so Evan can give her pussy a good hard fingering, and she follows it up by giving Evan an impressive throat fucking. Evan goes on to fuck her as she returns to the hood, first with a little missionary action, then with a little doggie, and finishing it up with a nice looking pile driver. Kristina finishes off Evan with a very nice facial that she seems nicely into. It’s a very hot scene that has nice chemistry as well. It’s definitely one of the best in the feature and one that’ll please fans of Kristina Black, in addition to making a few more.

Finally, there’s a seventeen minute behind the scenes featurette featuring camera work and interviews by Sindee Coxx. Each of the girls gives a short interview before the camera shows some of their scene being filmed. As usual, Inari comes off as very human and Justine is just as friendly. Inari’s also caught behind the scenes, and gives a humorous little story about just how dangerous pit bulls can be. It’s a nicely done behind the scenes that gives you a little of everything.

Raincoat Factor: Medium high

Overall: Currently, most of Adam & Eve’s DVDs can be found online for between $15 and $25 with most stores offering them for around $20. Rent this one rather than sticking that kind of money out for it. The movie is easily forgettable and doesn’t come close to using the talent in it. The transfer is good, and there’s also some nice extras.

Note to Adam & Eve: It’s nice to see you putting so much effort towards your DVDs again.
