The Movie

Kay Brandt is one of the most influential directorial forces in the adult industry right now, and she is on the top of her game with Naked. Naked is a feature film, which was also written by Kay Brandt based on her novel with the same name, that this reviewer suspects will become a modern classic.

Naked is an adult take-off, of sorts, of Discovery Channel's 2013 show Naked and Afraid. This reviewer states of sorts because Naked isn't just a rip off of the Discovery Channel show but looks like it was inspired by it. Unlike Naked and Afraid, which is a competition-style reality show, Naked is a narrative movie with a complete story.

The story for Naked is that outdoorist Cadence (Britney Amber), auditions for a survival challenge reality show with her boyfriend Chris' (Donnie Rock) blessing. She is accepted for the show and paired up with Jackson (Derrick Pierce). The two have to survive, naked, in inhospitable terrain.

Naked is well-plotted, and the story is delivered nicely to the viewer. There isn't much surprise to the viewer how the story will ultimately end; however, the fun in Naked isn't knowing what will eventually happen, but the journey getting there. Kay Brandt does a great job of moving backward and forward in time to tell the story.

Not only is the story enjoyable for the viewer, but the characters in the movie are very well-developed. This is due to both Kay Brandt's writing and the acting of the two main leads Britney Amber and Derrick Pierce. Both of them give exceptional performances and bring their characters to life and get the viewer to care about their characters. The ancillary cast does a great job of fleshing out the movie and give believable performances as well.

The sex scenes are well performed and fit in with the story well. The ancillary cast is heavily used in the sex scenes, so the viewer is presented with a variety of participants. The sex scenes are erotic, and the cast stays in character during the sexual interludes. The sex scenes are well captured for the viewer and look great.

Naked, as a whole, is beautifully shot by Mike Quasar. The locations that were picked for the movie, especially for the survivalist portions, fit the movie beautifully, and Mike Quasar has done an excellent job of making everything presented to the viewer look great. The make-up job for the leads, as they get dirtier and dirtier during the survival competition, is excellent and adds to the feel of the movie. The musical selections used in the movie work well too.

Naked is an excellent feature that offers fans of adult feature films everything they are looking for in a movie. The story is well developed, and viewers will care about the characters. The sex scenes are erotic and well-performed, and the entire package looks beautiful. Naked is highly recommended.

The Edition

The edition of Naked screened was a digital screener provided by Adam & Eve; as a result, there may be discrepancies between the reviewed edition and the release edition(s).

Naked was shot digitally and is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 in 1080p. The picture quality is outstanding with a nice clear and crisp image with beautiful colors. There aren't any noticeable issues at all with the picture quality.

Naked is presented with an English Stereo audio track. There aren't any discernible issues with the sound quality of the movie. The dialog in the movie is clear and easy to understand at all times.

Adam & Eve didn't include any extras for review.

Final Thoughts

Naked is an absolutely brilliant adult feature movie from writer and director Kay Brandt. The story keeps the viewer hooked from start to finish, and the cast is exceptional. Naked is an adult movie that no fan of features should miss. This reviewer can't recommend this movie highly enough.
