| I’m going to get straight to “the meat” so to speak and not waste anyone’s time here. This movie is five scenes “deep” and while I’m not opposed to seeing the Aiden Starr/Tristan Kingsley or Charley Chase (who I really, REALLY like)/Alexa Benson pairings, I’m more concerned with the other three mega-monumental scenes. Overall: The first thing that struck me as weird was the boxcover. Why highlight Jenna Haze and Tristan Kingsley when they don’t even have a scene together? Especially when Haze’s true partner in her scene, August being on the cover would have no doubt sold the movie better. Strange. As for the movie itself, usually a director will sequence his movie as a rollercoaster ride of sorts, starting strong, bringing you down a little, building you back up and then letting you down one final time before taking you to the mountain top. N’ 2 Deep differs in that it’s one steady climb to its finale. Every scene is consistently better than the last and I’m not afraid to admit that I thought there was no way that August/Jenna Haze would trump Annette Schwarz/Dana DeArmond but damned if they didn’t pull it off. I guess it was a clear cut case of on-camera experience versus all-out enthusiasm. Trust me, it wasn’t an easy to call; it was damn close. I’m a huge fan of b/g/g scenes and throwing the IR spin on it is a winning concept. Can’t wait to go “back to the hotel” for N’ 2 Deep 2.  |
