The Short Story

Initial Expectations: Naughty America's My Sister's Hot Friend is a fantastically fun series that's easily my favorite from the company. I can't help but go into this one with the same expectations.

Initial Reaction: Although it stumbled slightly near the end, this is still a very enjoyable movie that gives me a lot of hope for this series.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is clear and pretty well balanced for most of the movie. Sienna's scene has a couple minor balance problems and Brooke's scene has a fair amount of background noise as well as a little balance problem due to being shot in the great outdoors. The video is presented in the full frame format and looks pretty good. The scenes are always well lit, but there are a few very noticeable editing cuts as well as a bit of very noticeable grain.

Disc Complaints / Authoring Notes: The authoring is a bit funky, which doesn't seem to be anything too unusual with Naughty America. Rather than having the entire movie on a title that makes it easy for viewers to skip to where ever they choose in the movie, which is extremely nice if you get tired of a scene and just want to jump ahead randomly or if you're viewing the movie later and want to go to a specific point in the movie, each scene has its own title, similar to how some studios run their TV shows on DVD. Needless to say, this makes the DVD extremely hard to navigate.

Menus: The main menu works through a little animation and a few clips from the movie for a decent first impression. The chapter menu nicely lets you choose a scene based on a still of each woman and their name.

The Feature

He also threw out a bit much of a stalker vibe at times, which although I'm sure is for the scene, just seemed a little too natural. That said it doesn't last long and the scene recovers nicely. This is a good scene, but the stalker vibe held it back a bit for me.

Although Brooke and Eric's chemistry is good, it also isn't as strong as the chemistry in the other scenes. This may be a nicely done scene, but it's also the weakest in the movie.

My Wife's Hot Friend 1 is a surprisingly fun and enjoyable adult movie. I know I shouldn't be surprised with the amount of chemistry here with Naughty America being involved, but with cheating scenes I'm always a little wary due to a few too many of them having a vindictive feeling. That never comes up here, and i was quickly drawn in by the fun feeling that almost all of the scenes had as well as the great chemistry. Naughty America did a great job tweaking their My Sister's Hot Friend series into one about cheating, and it came out every bit as well as I hoped rather than being more of what I expected or feared. Shyla Stylez, Francesca Le, and Brandi Edwards all turned out great scenes, and although Sienna West and Brooke Haven couldn't quite keep up with them, they also turned out above average scenes. There are a few minor stumbling points with some of the scenes feeling a touch long and having a few minor technical issues, but those faults are minor and never interfered much with the movie for me. My Wife's Hot Friend 1 is a very nice start to a series that I'll definitely be looking for more of.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, most of Naughty America’s DVDs can be found online for between about $15 and $27 with most stores offering them under $20. The low end is a very nice price for what you get here. The movie has a very nice feeling and there's plenty of chemistry in each of the well captured scenes. The technical aspects are nicely done even though there are some outdoor limitations in the final scene, but unfortunately there's absolutely no effort put into the extras. This is a very enjoyable movie on a DVD that could have used a touch more effort.

Note to Naughty America: I hope that you're not going back to your cheap feeling bare bones DVDs...
