The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced and I didn't notice any background nosies. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and normally looks very nice. There's a few places, most notably in the opening scene, where the colors seem like they've been tinkered with for artistic effects, but it's never enough to really interfere with the scenes. There's also some very nice attention paid to the little details like lighting.

Music: There's a little music here and there to start off the scenes. It varies a little in balance, but always helps the scenes out and also fades out once the scene gets going.

Menus: The main menu combines a little animation with a few stills for an okay first impression. The chapter menu shows some nice care, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene as well as the name(s) of the girl(s) in it.

The Feature

My Pleasure Pet takes things to the lighter fetish side. Each scene revolves around two people with at least one of them being in the role of a pet. Sometimes the pet is playful and sometimes it needs to be punished. Regardless, there's plenty of action and with Guy Capo behind the camera, a few artistic touches as well.

This isn't a bad scene, but it has a very hard time keeping up with the rest of the movie.

The camera focuses on close-up shots a bit much for my tastes, but there's still a good enough mix of shots for the scene that it didn't hold it back too much for me. This is yet another nicely done scene.

It's a surprising range for an adult scene, and I think that's a big part of why the scene worked well for me. This scene has a touch of depth to it, and brings the movie to a nice close because of it.

My Pleasure Pet is a nicely different fetish movie. There isn't a lot of effort put into wildly kinky costumes or dark sets, and instead lets the scenes revolve around control issues and pet play. The sex normally stays playful instead of seeing how creepy it can get, but there are some surprising touches of depth such as with Mikey Butders taking in stray Aiden Starr. Holly and Ruby's scene was easily the weakest for me due to its feeling a bit generic, while Roxy, Nautica, and Mikayla all turned out hot scenes that worked well for me. As usual Guy Capo shows a very nice eye from behind the camera, and although their softer than in some of his other movies, the artistic styles here helped to give the movie an extra nudge in the right direction. In fact, the only real complaint I can have about the movie is with Holly and Ruby's scene as it just didn't have the spark of originality or sexuality that flowed through the rest of the scenes. If you're looking for something other than the typical porno, My Pleasure Pet is well worth checking out.

The Extra Stuff

Audrey, Jezebelle, and Christian all play into their roles well, and the scene moved at a nice pace. This is a different Penthouse scene, but one that works well.

Currently, many Penthouse DVDs can be found online for between about $17 and $25 with several stores offering them for around $20. At the lower end, this one's a pretty good deal. The sex is fun and shows a nice touch of creativity. The technical aspects are solid and there's a touch of effort put into a well chosen bonus scene for the extras. This is a pretty good release.
