Initial Expectations: The My Plaything series has been one of the best virtual sex simulators out there right from the start. I can’t help but have pretty high expectations here.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very well done. The audio is very clear and well balanced without having any background noises. The video is also quite nice. It has a hint of pixelation, but is very nicely lit. It suffers a little from having some of the equipment in the field of view in the upper right corner.

Menus: The menus are pretty decent. There’s a long lead-in to the main menu, and after that the couple menus only have stills.

The Feature

With her long blonde hair, magnificent body, and fantastic eyes, it didn’t take much for knockout Silvia Saint to start turning heads and pitching tents. It also didn’t hurt that she wasn’t afraid to take big dicks up her magnificent poop chute. Yes, Digital Sin noticed this, and decided to let her be your Plaything, controlling what sex act she does, whether she’s naughty or nice, when you cum, and which of two true angles (one being a POV angle and the other being a side view or close-up) you want to watch the action from.

Silvia gives you plenty of choices. She’ll tease you with her tits, ass, or pussy wearing a sexy black gown or masturbate using her fingers, a dildo, or the sybian wearing a little white lingerie. She’ll also lie back wearing a black bra and stockings and let you work over her pussy with your fingers, a toy, or your tongue, or if you’d prefer she’ll get down and suck your cock. Of course, you can also fuck her. Silvia will let you fuck her pussy cowgirl style or choose between her holes for some missionary or doggie style. There’s nothing really unique for sex acts here, but there’s no glaring omissions either.

For her part, Silvia does a fantastic job. She’s always been a bit of a camera mugger, and here that works to the DVD’s benefit. She looks fantastic, lets her eyes shine through it all, and even does a great job with the vocals varying them between being a bit shy and knowing just what she wants. There isn’t as drastic a difference between the moods with Silvia as there are with some other actresses, but there is a difference and more importantly one of them doesn’t come off feeling very natural while the other comes off being forced. Here, both moods seem nicely natural. She also puts some very nice energy into the sex. It doesn’t matter if she’s taking matters into her own hands or letting you work her over, Silvia looks like she’s having a great time throughout the entire virtual experience.

Pop shots have always been a point virtual sex fans have focused on. Some companies have done all real pops (frequently limiting the numbers so the porn stud can have some moisture left in his body) while others have went with animated or wet faked pops. Here almost all of the pops are animated, and are so wild that it looks like one of the Looney Tunes came in to be a stunt cock. I’d guess it’s Bugs Bunny, but there’s no fur and we all know that he prefers to dress up like a female rabbit. The only real pop is for the naughty blowjob, and it lacks so much that it almost makes the animated pops look good. It’s slow, dribbly, and completely forgettable. The pop shot sequences are easily the worst part of My Plaything: Silvia Saint.

As usual, the virtual mechanism is handled extremely well. The menus rest nicely in the corners. with the upper right corner holding a simple menu that clearly lets you know your choices while the lower corners hold the orgasm and mood controls. The segments are much shorter than those on most other virtual sex releases, and run between slightly under one minute to about two and a quarter minutes for the major segments while the orgasm segments for you last around thirty seconds a pop. Silvia’s orgasm sequences last much longer, ranging between a little under a minute and about two and a quarter minutes with most of them lasting a little over a minute. Although shorter,, they work much better here than in other virtual sex releases due to the looping. The segments never loop completely, and almost always return to when Silvia really has her motor running. This is a wonderful thing because it lets you choose a position and continue watching it without anything really interfering with the position until you want to move on. You don’t have to worry about Silvia getting dressed magically, slowing down naturally, or suddenly telling you how she wants “you” to fuck her. This is easily a case of less being more!

My Plaything: Silvia Saint is an excellent virtual sex release. Silvia looks fantastic, varies her moods nicely, and does a great job of playing to the camera through it all. She also turns out a couple very nice anal positions. The segments loop back to the middle of the scene to let the action flow extremely well and helps the shorter segments work much better than full looping segments twice their length. The only real problem with this release is the pop shots. There’s only one real pop and it’s pitiful. My Plaything: Silvia Saint is an extremely well done virtual sex experience that’s definitely worth checking out.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Digital Sin’s My Plaything DVDs can be found online for between about $20 and $30, with most stores seeming to offer them in the $25 range. I’m not a big virtual sex fan, but this one I’d almost pay the going price for. Silvia does a great job with the sex and Digital Sin does a great job at the technical end. The technical aspects have a few minor problems, but sadly there’s very little effort put into the extras here.

Note to Digital Sin: Thank you for figuring out how to work the looping better. The only thing that really held this release back for me was the lack of extras. A little behind the scenes featurette would have made all the difference here.
