The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are excellent. The audio is extremely clear. There is a slight hum for a background noise during the foreplay section, but that’s about it. The video is just as good. There’s some nice distance shots but everything is always very clear. It’s also very well lit, and the quality continues right through all the extras rather than sacrificing the quality for the technical aspects a little bit to save disc space. This is an excellent looking and sounding DVD.

Music: There’s no music during the virtual sex portion of the feature, but there is some during the extras which is very well done.

Menus: The menus are nicely done but simple. They’re artistic yet keep the focus of the movie, and also give a great first impression.

The Feature

Adult superstar Jenna Jameson returns to the world of virtual sex with My Plaything: Jenna Jameson 2 in order to give her fans what they want: a virtual sex movie where she takes a dick rather than a piece of plastic. As usual, Jenna looks great, and knows just how to play to the camera. In My Plaything: Jenna Jameson, Jenna came out with a few new tattoos and piercings, and I can’t say that I was overly impressed with her looks. This time around the camera works around most of her tattoos, and her piercings are much more subdued. She looks fantastic here, and I think looks the best she has in a long time.

Digital Sin is known for giving a bit more variety in their virtual sex releases than most other companies, and nothing about that’s changed here. No, you still have the usual choices for sex acts, but they’ve provided a nice variety of locations. Rather than seeing everything in front of a boring black screen, the tease takes place with Jenna in a kinda old style gangster outfit in front of a Rolls Royce. She moves to a locker room with some legwarmers for the masturbation sequences, and then finishes things up with a cowgirl style scene in a barn for the foreplay and sex. Mixing things up like this breaks things apart nicely, gives the movie a bit more style and beauty, and just makes the entire DVD feel a bit more special.

The choices are presented in a manner just as pleasing to the eye as the locations. The action is presented in a matted widescreen format, with the major sex choices (tease, masturbation, foreplay, and sex) and the mood choices (nice / naughty) on the top, while the cum on command and individual sex selections for each group are listed along the bottom. The other choices stay in a nice gray tone while the current selection stands out in a different color. It’s a very easy to use interface, and looks very nice as well.

Sexually, you pretty much have the usual choices. Jenna will tease you with her tits, ass, or pussy as long as you like. She’ll also masturbate for you with her fingers, a jackrabbit style vibe, or a glass dildo, or let you work her over with your fingers, a dildo, or your tongue. Finally, you can have Jenna suck your cock or fuck her in missionary, standard or reverse cowgirl, or doggie. Each segment lasts between a minute and a quarter and nearly two and a half minutes, with the vast majority of them running around two minutes. They loop as one would hope they would, and rather than returning to the start of each loop they return to the middle. This lets Jenna keep going with some of the same momentum she had when the loop ended, rather than going all the way back to the beginning. This is one of the little details that I think really sets a well done virtual sex release apart from just a good virtual sex release.

For each sex act you can choose between two camera angles, one of which is a POV shot and the other which is normally a close-up or a secondary distance shot, and between Jenna being naughty or nice. Most of the time Jenna makes it so that there’s a nice difference between the moods. She’s normally soft and a bit shy during the nice mode and more demanding with plenty of trash talk in the naughty mode. As she gets going the moods blur a little, but it’s very rare where you couldn’t pick a mood at random and not know which one it is. Jenna’s attitude is excellent through it all, and really helps the DVD succeed.

One of the most important details for a virtual sex title is the pop shot. Most companies fake them to some extent, and this one looks no different. Thankfully here they’re all very well done. I went back numerous times to double check the pop shots, and there were many times when I thought they were faked but just couldn’t be sure. There’s a couple definite real pops, such as the very nice facial Jenna takes for her nice blowjob, but most of them barely leave any sign on her (and some you can only see remnants if you check both camera angles). I’m sure many of the pops are faked here, but if fake pops looked as good as they do here I can’t see many people complaining about them.

Although My Plaything Jenna Jameson 2 isn’t completely perfect, it’s pretty darn close. The minor problems I had with this release are the same problems I have with almost every other release, and normally those other releases have many other things for me to complain about. Jenna makes this one a very worthwhile addition to the porn collection of any of her fans, and shows why she’s the superstar she is. She plays to the camera extremely well without completely overdoing it a lot. The camera helps things out by getting a great perspective on things and also providing some very nice alternate angles. If you’re at all interested in this DVD, pick it up. I really can’t see many people being disappointed by My Plaything: Jenna Jameson 2, and those who are can probably tell you what they won’t like about it before they even pick up the box.

The Extra Stuff

Digital Sin really went all out on extras this time around to the point that a second DVD is included to hold them. There’s some of the extras you’ve come to expect, such as trailers, photo galleries, and company information. There’s also some of the bigger extras, such as bonus scenes, outtakes, and behind the scenes featurettes.

Trailers are included for most of the My Plaything series as well as a few of Digital Sin’s features. The photo gallery includes roughly fifty excellent looking snapshots and full screen photos, each of which makes you realize some of why Jenna has such a devoted fan base. There’s also a minute and a half photo shoot montage which lets you see some of the photos as well as Jenna posing for them and having fun on the set. My only complaint here is that it’s presented in non-anamorphic widescreen rather than anamorphic widescreen, as it should be.

If you want a little of Jenna outside the movie, there’s plenty there. You get a minute and a half of bloopers from the movie, most of which are Jenna screwing around on the set. There’s a few sexual bloopers too, but mostly this is fun just showing off Jenna, her sense of humor, and a great laugh.

Full Circle is a behind the scenes featurette lasting almost fifteen minutes that’s directed by Beau Holland. There’s a few interviews with Jenna, a bit of Jenna hanging out with Carmen and the crew, and a little of the scenes and photos being shot. There’s even a nice tease from Jenna to finish it up. It’s a pretty good featurette that Jenna fans will want to make sure to check out.

Up Close with Jenna also gives you more Jenna, in the form of a nine minute interview that’s directed by her husband, Justin Sterling. She talks a lot about clubjenna.com, her website, and how proud she is of it and interacting with her fans. She also talks about writing a book and not being normal but being a completely normal person. She keeps it going talking about sex, Brittany Spears, and relationships. It’s all heavily edited, but ends up being a great interview.

Of course, plenty of people don’t want to get to know the Jenna on the inside, so there’s plenty to satisfy those people as well. In addition to the bonus scene, there’s two strip teases. First is a cowgirl tease which lasts about two and a quarter minutes with Jenna dancing and stripping around a barn and hay bale. The second tease also lasts a little over two minutes and features Jenna dancing nearly nude around a Rolls Royce. As usual, Jenna puts on a great show and my only complaints are that they didn’t last longer and that they were presented in non-anamorphic widescreen.

Bonus Scene - Jenna Jameson and Carmen Luvana

After laying Carmen back on a massage table, Jenna kisses her way from Carmen’s mouth down to her bald cookie. Jenna eats Carmen’s cookie, savoring it in her mouth as much as she can, before moving on to give Carmen some vigorous finger action. Jenna keeps things going fingering both of Carmen’s holes before donning a strap-on and letting Carmen warm herself up further by attacking it orally. Jenna buries her strap-on in Carmen from behind for a good ride until collapsing on her and appearing exhausted.

This is an excellent scene! Carmen and Jenna have great chemistry and both put in some very nice energy. The camera work captures things very nicely so that you can see both the action the girls are preforming on each other as well as their reaction to the action. I know that there are a lot of people who don’t like all girl action or toys, but this one definitely does it right. The only thing it’s missing is a chance for Carmen to give back to Jenna, which I would have loved to have seen.

This scene can be viewed either with or without music, and as a twelve minute standard cut or an extended multi-angle scene lasting over eighteen minutes. Since more is better with these two, I started with the extended version and then moved back. It’s a nice way to watch the scene as you can see a lot of footage which is easily lost to make a nice scene. The music option is also great, although the music is soft and subtle and actually helped out the scene for me. This is a nicely done bonus scene with great viewing options.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, My Plaything 2: Jenna Jameson can be found online for between about $25 and $40 with most stores offering it for around $30. If you’re a Jenna fan, this one’s well worth the money. The sex is well done, the technical aspects are almost perfect, and there’s plenty of effort put into the extras. This is a very well done DVD.

Note to Digital Sin: You did a great job with this one. It’s great to see you giving so much attention to the ‘big picture’ of the DVD rather than just slapping the disc out without any real extras.
