Muse: Season 2 Review

Review:
Revenge, loneliness, and jealousy thread together Kayden Kross' second, socially-relevant season of last year's blockbuster, Muse. A Maitland Ward vehicle, this outstanding release from Deeper.com finds the adult and mainstream superstar reprising her role as a controversial professor and documentarian, this time, however, in a far more precarious position than the last, with her career and public persona hanging in the balance. Current questions involving the interplay of consent and power imbalance, the incel movement and its views of women, and legal and social opportunism are all interwoven into the tapestry of this modern-day masterpiece, and it seems clear that Kross is as interested in getting the viewers to think as she is in getting them to jerk off. Needless to say, all of these presumed objectives are achieved to perfection, Ward's acting is brilliant, and the end result comes wrapped up in a cinematographically-inspiring and erotically-powerful package that is certainly not to be missed.

Sexually, the highlights include a spontaneous and raw encounter involving an atypically vulnerable Maitland Ward, after she's returned from an unnerving--though erotically explosive--sex session with her intellectual and social archrival, Aubrey Kate, and her kinky crew. Like a moth to the flame, the weakened Maitland chances upon her sexual kryptonite, Manuel Ferrara, in their shared hallway, and Ferrara takes full advantage of the situation, consuming her in an intense, emotionally-fueled fuck-out. Wow!

Also scorching is Ferrara's domination of the stunning blonde (and cheater), Ivy Wolfe, in his apartment. (It's great to see her back!) A glutton for punishment, Wolfe is wanton and willing for a full-on fucking, as she plays the part of an insatiable submissive to perfection. Manuel, of course, is no doubt up to the challenge. So hot!

Finally, Maitland Ward's premier gangbang--a raw and potent sexual spectacle of the first order--finishes the festivities and serves as the carnal crescendo to which the film has been building. Kicking off with the actress indulging herself in a high-end orgy's veritable feast of the flesh, this energetic sequence starts strong and only strengthens as it drives forward. Initially featuring dramatic intercuts of an onstage routine by Vanna Bardot and company and also accentuated with strobing lights, a hastened pace, and a pulse-pounding score, this scene ultimately settles in on Maitland--a woman possessed--as the principal focus of the group's attention. Needless to say, the ensuing action is as intense as it is harsh and as intoxicating as it is relentless, with the red-tressed superstar fielding a cadre of cock with devilish and dirty delight. An erotic animal who can't be tamed, Maitland is up for anything. Holy shit!

Of course, the other scenes more than hold their own, as well. There's the Maitland Ward/Aubrey Kate/Destiny Cruz/Pierce Paris anal romp, the Lulu Chu/Anton Harden cream-pie pounding, and the Avery Cristy/Vanna Bardot/Quinton James backstage, vengeance-infused fuck-out. There's also the dirty-talking hand-job that Mona Wales doles out on her client, A.J., in an attorney deposition room...which is quick but blistering. Each of these scenes delivers the high heat in its own right, no doubt, and the result is a steamy cauldron of sexuality that's overbrimming with eroticism. To put it simply: This shit is hot!

In all, as a director, Kayden Kross continues to deliver the hits this year, much like she has over the past couple. This fantastic production is no exception and certainly rivals her best. It should go without saying, of course, that Maitland Ward's acting and sexual prowess add greatly to this endeavor, and the Ward/Kross duo is perhaps the most influential in the industry...particularly as it pertains to outwardly projecting a positive face to the broader public. Bottom line: Don't miss this one. Just don't.
