Review:
“Monique’s Sex Party” is a fun, all-sex movie distributed by Vivid and starring their former contract star and avid adult industry defender, Monique Alexander. Monique has three of the production’s four sex scenes—a boy-girl with James Deen (Scene One; very good), a girl-girl with Samantha Ryan (Scene Three; very good), and a boy-girl-girl with Lacey Maguire and Charles Dera (Scene Four; excellent). The first of these scenes starts off with some impeccable teasing and dancing by Monique, and it proceeds through a variety of standard-yet-sexy positions and action with James, including some scorching reverse-cowgirl riding by Ms. Alexander. The hot pink outfit that she is wearing at the beginning of this sequence is fantastic and should not be missed, either. Further, some of the early action in this segment is captured from a POV angle (tit-play and finger-work), and the festivities close out in a phenomenal manner, with Monique jerking James off on her face, mouth, and chest—very nice. Monique’s scene with Samantha Ryan is also a very good one. Here, the two actresses do a lot of speaking to the camera—as though the viewer is present—and also get into some giggling fits from time to time. These latter episodes add a lot to the fun factor of the whole affair and keep it from getting too serious. In terms of the action, both ladies engage in quite a bit of making out, and there is a lot of sensual eating and fingering that goes on—hot stuff! The best scene on the disc is the boy-girl-girl in which Monique takes on Charles Dera—who seems prone to Manning-like grunts and expostulations from time to time—and Lacey Maguire. Again, this is a fun, giggly, and playful affair between the members of the trio, and there is some hot sex that goes on to boot. The individual and double-blowjob work by the two actresses on Charles is excellent here, and both ladies take him vaginally—with the cowgirl action by Monique and the reverse-cowgirl action by both Lacey and Monique being the most noteworthy of the activities. This one ends with a pop-shot on Lacey’s thigh and is, overall, an excellent romp between the three.

The only scene that doesn’t feature Monique is Scene Two, which is a boy-girl sequence involving Taylor Chanel—a relative newcomer at the time of filming—and James Deen. Starting off a bit on the tenuous / shaky side, this one does get better once the sex gets going. That said, it never really rises much above the “good” level—which, by definition, is not bad, of course—and is the weakest of the four segments in the production. Of note here is the doggie-style and reverse-cowgirl positioning that goes on, as well as some of the POV action that occurs (fingering, tit-play, and partial blowjob). A pop-shot to Taylor’s face, mouth, and chest—followed by some oral cock clean-off and vaginal reinsertion—essentially closes this one out.

In terms of production values, this title plays quite well on an HDTV connected to a DVD player via an HDMI hookup. Vivid is one of the best companies out there in this regard; their material is always aesthetically pleasing to watch. Further, the ads that play when the disc is inserted can be skipped via hitting the “Menu” button on the remote. This is another relatively recent, fan-friendly change that the company has made. The water mark in the lower-right corner of the screen is still present, but it really isn’t distracting in any meaningful way.

In terms of bonus materials and other options, one finds “Play Feature”, “Scene Selection”—a standard scene selection mechanism, and “Special Features” as choices in the Main Menu. Under this last item, there is a “Behind the Scenes” segment that is interesting, funny, and about 16 minutes in length; there is a “Photo Gallery” that plays through a slideshow of “pretty girl” shots and stills from the movie; there is a choice of four “Previews”; and there is a “Vivid Extras” option that plays through various advertisements. Additionally, there is an incredible “Bonus Scene” that involves a boy-boy-girl sequence between Monique Alexander and two African American actors. This super-hot, interracial scene is from the film, “Monique’s Been Blackmaled”, and is quite the extra—awesome!

In all, this movie is a fun and informal production that goes over quite well and features three very good to excellent scenes with Monique Alexander and a good scene featuring Taylor Chanel. Monique’s scenes are the best, of course, and there is a nice variety presented (boy-girl, girl-girl, and boy-girl-girl). It is also refreshing to see the actresses laugh, giggle, and get into the proceedings. Overall, this one is highly recommended for fans of Monique Alexander—which should be everyone—and fans of porn that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
