NOTE: This is an amateur video. Amateur and homemade movies don’t have the budget nor the resources of studio porn, and therefore rarely get close to the same quality technically. I’m rating this DVD on the same scale, but most homemade or amateur features would rarely make it above a 3 on the standard scale I use for studio porn for their technical aspects. The performers also aren’t normally the ‘glamour stars’ one expects from studio porn, and instead use people who look like somebody you might encounter in your day to day life. Finally, the camera work has a different feel, as it’s often shot from a tripod or with somebody who doesn’t have the technical training or experience of professional cameramen. That said, amateur and homemade features have a great charm to them, simple because the people in them are doing what they’re doing to have fun and because they enjoy it. All the things that separate them from studio porn contribute to that charm, I hope people will keep that in mind when checking out this review and not just look at the ratings as the ultimate word on this release. Since the technical aspects are normally lacking and there normally isn’t much for extras in amateur features, I’ve weighted my overall rating more heavily towards the sex than I do in most studio porn.

Note #2: This is one of the earlier releases from Pixie’s Emporium. They’ve been gradually reworking their earlier DVDs, so I would expect current versions of this release to be much better technically, with menus, a photo gallery, and some improved technical aspects. I’m going to rate this one as I see it, but want viewers to be aware that they will probably get a much better version of this DVD than I’m reviewing. The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is clear and well balanced for the most part, but there are a few minor balance problems and background noises. The video is also pretty good. It’s nicely lit, btu there’s a little grain to the picture. There’s also a few minor problems such as camera shake and remnants which show up now and then. The biggest problem, however, is from about fifty seven minutes into the movie on where the audio and video don’t quite synch.

Music: There’s a little music in the background throughout the movie. Most of it is just music playing in the background of the rooms where the scenes are shot. It’s a bit annoying when there are editing cuts, but most of the time ends up being kind of fun.

Disc Complaint: There’s a watermark in the lower right corner of the screen. I mention it here because I know that a lot of people really hate watermarks. On the plus side, it’s clear and it stays there consistently throughout the feature so that you can put it out of your mind fairly easily.

Menus: There’s only one menu, and sadly, it sucks. It’s extremely basic and pretty much just looks like cheap selection screen with one choice. It does anything but make a good first impression.

The Feature

It’s Mandi’s nineteenth birthday, and her friend Adriana isn’t going to let it pass unnoticed. She calls Mandi up at work to tease her, and then has her come over to her house after Mandi’s done with work. She has a big surprise planned for Mandi, and she isn’t going to let Mandi say no.

Scene 1 - Mandi* and Adriana

Adriana calls Mandi at work to wish her a happy birthday, and decides to give her a little tease of her birthday present. She gives Mandi instructions on how to masturbate, starting with what clothes to take off and how to rub her hands across each other. They talk about their bodies and Adriana works herself to a nice natural orgasm. They put their toys to work next, and both have a nice orgasm. Finally, Mandi cuts things short so that she can get a little work done. She gets dressed again and then puts her vibe to work a little more before forcing herself to work.

This is a very nicely done scene. I really like how Adriana is shown in picture-in-picture rather than editing the two girls back and forth or doing it as a complete split screen view. It keeps the focus on Mandi, while also adding quite a bit to it. The action flows very well for both girls, and it all works together to make this a very nice and unique scene.

Scene 2 - Mandi and Adriana

After showing up at Adriana’s, Mandi’s blindfolded and led into the room for her birthday surprise. Adriana gives Mandi a peek at her cake before making her sit on the bed blindfolded as she strips down to her stockings and red bra and panties to tease her. Adriana helps Mandi out of her shirt before teasing her all over. She even gives Mandi her birthday spankings before starting to work her way across Mandi’s body. After plenty of begging, Adriana finally lets Mandi take off her bra and the blindfold before she works her way between Mandi’s thighs. Adriana gives Mandi a vigorous tongue-lashing before joining Mandi up on the bed so Mandi can give her a little attention in return. Mandi blindfolds Adriana to pay her back in full, and then makes her way down to tongue her twat. They get out the toys next, and work on each other with a pair of vibrating eggs. Adriana gives Mandi one last present, that of a dildo and an attempt to find the mythical beast called a G-spot before they enjoy Mandi’s cake.

This is an excellent scene. It’s drawn out very well, and I don’t think you could doubt that the enthusiasm from both girls was quite real. There’s plenty of smiles, and they come from each girl’s eyes more than they do their mouth. You can tell there’s some caring there, and it raises this scene up a notch from where the scene might have been. The camera work is also nicely done, and gets plenty of close-ups as well as some nice distance shots. This is a great scene.

Me and My Birthday Suit is an extremely fun amateur movie. Mandi and Adriana have excellent chemistry, and both put a lot towards the entire movie. I love the picture-in-picture phone sex at the start, and Adriana’s extended tease to start the second scene is every bit as good. Sexually, I’m not sure there’s a single thing I didn’t like about this feature. It was fun and natural, and thoroughly enjoyable. I know that some guys might not be overly turned on by Adriana, but personally I like that she looks like a real woman rather than a skeleton, and her enthusiasm and chemistry with Mandi takes her far beyond what very minor problems I might have with her looks. Don’t get me wrong, she isn’t unattractive, but she isn’t overly attractive either. She seems like a great representative of females, which makes her a great choice for an amateur feature. Me and My Birthday Suit is an excellent all girl amateur movie with plenty of personality that’s definitely worth checking out.

Currently, many DVDs from Pixie’s Emporium can be found online for around $13. If you want light and fun all girl amateur action, this one’s going to be worth every penny. No, there aren’t any extras on the version I have, but hopefully that will change in the very near future.

Note to Pixie’s Emporium: I hope you remaster this one soon! It deserves it.
