Initial Expectations: I haven’t been too impressed with Metro’s Urban line, but there is enough talent here to pique my interest.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is pretty clear and well balanced, although it’s hard to hear much of it due to the music. There’s a few minor background noises, but thankfully they’re few and far between. The video is okay. There’s a fair amount of overlighting which bleaches out many of the colors, but that varies from scene to scene. There’s also a very small amount of grain which gives the feature a slightly soft feeling.

Music: The music has a hip hop feel that would be okay if it wasn’t so repetitive that I wondered if there were more then ten bars in the entire movie and if it wasn’t extremely loud.

Menus: The menus are pretty average. The main menu has a little animation while the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a chapter number and a small clip of each scene. You can also jump directly to one of the five pop shots in the feature via the Instant Pop Shot Access menu, or play them all.

The Feature

As usual with Metro’s Urban line, Mamacita Beataz (which when the name said seems like it should translate to Women Abusers) is hosted by Dominiko. Also as usual, Dominiko seems determined to show just why blacks have a negative stereotype as he introduces each scene. This time the focus is advertised as being Latin ladies and black men, although Dominiko introduces the movie as being about bilingual women.

Scene 1 - Alaura Eden and Dominiko

Alaura Eden starts things off with Dominiko. She quickly goes to work on his manhood, mouthing and titty fucking it before Dominiko sticks her from behind. He starts out with his fingers before giving Alaura his cock. They keep going through cowgirl, which is great since Alaura has an amazing ass, before finishing things missionary style with Dominiko decorating Alaura’s tongue, which she doesn’t shy away from at all.

This is an okay scene. There’s nice chemistry and decent energy, but that wasn’t enough to take this scene all the way. To start with, the camera work is so limited that I think somebody borrowed a patented Ed Powers tripod. Just as bad is Dominiko, whose vocals were annoying enough that I started wishing it was a bisexual scene because somebody stuffing his dick in Dominiko’s mouth might be the only way to shut him up. Thankfully Alaura’s great to watch! She really does have a fantastic body and knows just how to use it. A lesser girl wouldn’t have been able to hold my interest at all here, but Alaura kept my attention enough through this scene that I could somewhat get past Dominiko.

Scene 2 - Mercedes Ashley and Julian St. Jox

Mercedes, who has a little age showing, takes on Julian in the second scene. Mercedes gives Julian a little oral happiness down under before he attacks her ass with his tongue. He moves up to pleasure her pussy before fucking it from behind. Mercedes and Julian keep it going through a few other common positions before he decorates her face.

This is a pretty good scene. There’s great chemistry between Mercedes and Julian, and she puts in great energy as well. Once again the camera angles are limited, but they caught Mercedes ass enough that I think it hypnotized me into not noticing a lot of bad things about the scene.

Scene 3 - Ice LaFox and Dominiko

Ice LaFox takes on Dominiko in the third scene, and starts him out with some knob gobblin’. Dominiko returns her oral favors before nailing her from behind and letting her ride his cock. Finally, Ice finishes things up taking a wide mouthed facial from Dominiko.

This scene didn’t do a lot for me. Ice looked to be into it a little, but often looked to be lost. I don’t know how many times I saw her look off camera for directions, and it was at stupid times! How much direction do you need when you’re riding a guy in reverse cowgirl! This was a big part of why this scene lost me even though Ice did start things off nicely.

Scene 4 - Tracy Mathis and D. Wise

D. Wise takes on Tracy Mathis in the penultimate scene. They expose her tattooed titties before exchanging oral favors, and then move onto fucking. After D. starts out fucking Tracy as she lays back in a chair, he lets her work through a few other common positions. Finally, Tracy takes a nice facial to finish things up.

This is an okay scene. Tracy lost me almost immediately by having things scribbled across her titties, which might have been there to help distract people from how they’re sagging. There’s some decent enjoyment here, but nothing about the scene really grabbed me.

Scene 5 - Dia Diva and Dominiko

Dia Diva, easily one of the best looking women in the feature, finishes things up with Dominiko. She sucks his cock before laying back for a bit of missionary work. She rides him a bit and then lets Dominiko take her from behind before he decorates her face.

Although Dia is the best looking girl in the feature, her scene just might be the most lame. The camera rarely focused on something I wanted to see, and she looked like she was trying to work out how much she was getting for each time Dominiko pumped her while they fucked. It’s not a good way to end a movie, but then again, this isn’t much of a movie.

Mamacita Beataz is another lackluster entry in the Metro’s Urban line. There’s some nice chemistry and energy in a few of the scenes, but almost everything else about the movie seems to be conspiring against it. To start with, I don’t really like Dominiko’s attitude. While black guys like Sean Michaels and Lexington Steele seem to work hard to show some class and move past the color barrier, Dominiko seems like he’s trying to live up to the stereotype that so many people associate with the “N” word. The second thing about the movie that held it back was the Latin / bilingual theme to the movie. I have nothing against this, but then cast obviously Latin women! Here most of the women looked like they were black and each taught one or two sentences in Spanish. Finally, there’s the camera work and sex. Yes, the girls put some nice effort into the scenes and get into them pretty well, but most of the camera work made me wonder if Cleetis Mack was taking an Ed Powers correspondence course. The sex positions are also limited and seem to go in the same order that I thought they might have painted them on the wall somewhere where the camera wouldn’t show them so nobody would get lost. It all teams up to make Mamacita Beataz a movie with some decent talent and hold them back from reaching their full potential.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Metro’s DVDs can be found online for between $12 and $25 with most stores offering them for around $20. Rent this one before you buy it. I’m sure it will be just what some people are looking for, but I can see a lot more people being bored with it. There also isn’t much for extras here and the technical aspects vary a bit.

Note to Metro: I can understand your desire to have an interracial line, but please find somebody who can do it right.
