Initial Reaction: It’s nicely light and amusing.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody looking for black porn with a bit of a humorous twist

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are surprisingly good. The audio is clear and well balanced while the video is free of grain and evenly lit. You can see and hear everything just as good as if it were one of Metro’s top of the line titles, which surprised me as the cover made me think that this was just going to be a black version of Metro’s lower budget gonzo lines.

Music: The music has a nice beat but is a little on the loud side and extremely repetitive to the point that it’s annoying five minutes into the movie.

Menus: The menus are fairly typical. The main menu has a little animation to give it a decent first impression and the chapter menu lets you choose a chapter based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number.

The Feature: Make Sure You Can’t See My Face portrays itself as an amateur film, although everybody in it looks to be a pro. The basic idea is that girls want to fuck on camera, but they don’t want to be recognized by people they know. They compromise by agreeing to fuck on camera as long as their face isn’t shown, but the boys don’t always want to play by the rules.

Nika Chanel, an attractive black woman who takes a step down with a few fugly tattoos and a pierced lower lip, starts things out with Domineko. She shows off for Domineko before dropping down to give him some nice oral loving. Nika moves up for a cowgirl ride that nicely showcases her fantastic fanny before letting Domineko fuck her from behind. Nika also takes a nice long reverse cowgirl ride and does a little missionary work before Domineko decorates her tits.

This is a pretty good scene. Nika and Domineko have great chemistry together, and both put in some great energy. Although the camera shows her face quite a bit, they keep it playful while Nika tries to keep it hidden and Domineko tries to excuse it. This is a good scene that opens the feature nicely.

Weed takes on Vanessa Jay, a meatier woman with a bald beaver, in the second scene. This is another pretty good scene. Vanessa isn’t the most attractive woman, but she puts some great energy into the scene. She also plays the bit about not showing her face much more serious, complete with swearing and slapping the camera away. It adds a lot to the scene and gives the overall idea a little momentum.

Skyy, a decent looking black woman who has an unfortunate lower lip piercing, takes on Dosha, another decent looking black woman, in the third scene. Since Dosha doesn’t want to be seen, Skyy has her start out eating her pussy. Skyy returns the favor and adds a toy to the mix as well as a little spanking and a tongue for Dosha’s pucker. Skyy keeps things moving with a strap-on in a few positions before the girls share a double dildo to finish things up.

This is another good scene. It stands on its own nicely, and doesn’t bring in the not showing the face too much. Instead it’s brought in by Skyy being so good that Dosha forgets it’s there until the end. The chemistry and energy is very good here, which makes the explanation seem nicely plausible. The lesbian action isn’t anything overly unique, but the scene nicely fits the overall feel of the movie. The biggest problems here are that the action is extremely one-sided with Dosha receiving a very strong majority of the time and that the scene seems to go on forever.

Domineko returns to take on Yahzi, a cute girl with way too many tattoos, in the penultimate scene. Domineko lays Yahzi back to fuck her after getting her to suck his cock. She rides him cowgirl style before letting him bone her from behind and follows it up with a nice reverse cowgirl ride. They finish things up with a little missionary before Domineko decorates Yahzi’s tits.

This is another pretty good scene. Yahzi falls nicely between Nika and Vanessa for her reactions to the camera, and she also puts some nice energy into the scene. She’s also cute, although her tats don’t do anything for me, and gives some good vocals without going over the top.

Kok-E finishes things up with Tanya, a very cute black woman. Tonya quickly gets down to suck Kok-E’s cock and takes it nicely into her throat. Once again, it’s a pretty good scene. There’s nice chemistry and energy, with the camera focusing on the wrong place coming up quite a bit again. Kok-E has some nice charm for the scene and his athletic abilities helped set it apart from the rest. This is a good scene to finish things up with.

Make Sure You Can’t See My Face isn’t too bad of a porno. The idea is fun and normally played as a humorous aspect of the scenes. It also adds an extra level to the camera work as the camera avoids the face for much of the scene without making things look cheesy or half-assed without focusing entirely on close-ups. The scenes are amazingly consistent from one to the other, and although the feel varies slightly, the quality doesn’t. This is the first feature I think I’ve seen from Cleetis Mack, and due to this consistency I have to say that I’m really impressed with him. Make Sure You Can’t See My Face is a good movie for anybody wanting porn of a darker persuasion with a bit of fun.

Extras: The photo gallery contains roughly twenty very nice looking snapshots. There’s also internet, phone sex information, and a trailer or two before the main menu.

Overall: Currently, many of Metro’s DVDs can be found online for between $12 and $25 with most stores offering them for around $20. The low end is a pretty fair price here. The technical aspects are very good and the movie’s fun, but I wouldn’t go much beyond that because the movie is on the short side and there isn’t anything worth mentioning for extras.

Note to Metro: This is one of those places where a lack of extras seems inexcusable. From what I understand the normal DVD has at least two hours of audio and video. Even after the extras here it appears that you have over a half hour of space left on the DVD. This is where you should have included a bonus scene or two! You’ve put a lot of effort into publicizing Sex and the Studio, and that seems like something that fans of this movie would be interested in. I’m almost positive that a bonus scene from Sex and the Studio here would translate into more sales and rentals than the trailer before the main menu on most of your DVDs that most of us skip past do.
