Live For Sex Die For Love is a gay hardcore adult feature movie by writer and co-director Joe Rubin and co-director Toby Ross. This review is solely based on the XXX Internet Version of Live For Sex Die For Love and not the standard version of the movie. Live For Sex Die For Love is an odd film that meanders along with seemingly unconnected scenes. As the movie progresses, the viewer does realize that there is a story buried in the mess.

The story, that is rather buried in Live For Sex Die For Love is that John (Joe Rubin) leaves his adoptive mother's (Heather Marie Vernon) house after he finds out she has been snooping in his things. He runs into hustler Thorne (Thorne Brandt) who introduces him to Rocco (Martin Aistrope), an adult bookstore owner and alley pimp, and Vinny (Ricky Sinz), Rocco's right-hand man and alley hustler. Can John survive the hustling lifestyle intact or will it consume him?

The huge issue with Live For Sex Die For Love is that the majority of the hardcore footage in the movie appears to have been originally made for other movies and has been inserted into this movie to provide hardcore material. The hardcore material doesn't feature the same cast members as any of the actual material made specifically for this movie. The hardcore footage seems randomly inserted into the movie without rhyme or reason and pulls the viewer from the story segments.

As a result of all of the time spent on the unconnected hardcore footage, the characters in Live For Sex Die For Love are never given the time necessary to build so the viewer connects with them. As a result, as the dramatic scenes are playing out the viewer is often left with an apathetic feel toward the characters and what is going on.

The viewer keeps hoping that the seemingly random footage that is stuck in the movie will come together with everything else, but it never does. The end result is that Live For Sex Die For Love ends up feeling like one of the loop carriers of old that had some new footage shot to justify the use of all of the old footage. Due to the significant number of flaws that Live For Sex Die For Love has, this reviewer can't recommend this movie at all.

The edition of Live For Sex Die For Love screened is the streaming-only edition of the XXX Internet Version of the movie available on TobyRoss.com. Toby Ross and BDF (Big Dik Factory) have done a poor job with their streaming-only edition of Live For Sex Die For Love. It is unclear to this reviewer if Live For Sex Die For Love was shot digitally or on video since a video master was clearly used for this release. Live For Sex Die For Love is presented in the Academy aspect ratio of 1.33:1 pillarboxed to the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1. The image is lacking in definition and has glitches in the video; the colors in the movie do look nice and vibrant though. There is a TobyRoss.com bug in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen throughout the movie and there is a text scroll that goes across the bottom of the screen approximately one-half hour into the movie announcing it to be the property of Big Dik Factory for viewing on that site and AEBN only. The video presentation is very disappointing looking more like a bootleg than a legitimate release.

Live For Sex Die For Love is presented with an English Stereo audio track. The audio presentation is acceptable. There is noticeable distortion in the audio, however, the dialog is clear and easy to understand at all times. Live For Sex Die For Love should have sounded better.

Toby Ross and BDF haven't included any extras for their streaming-only edition of Live For Sex Die For Love. It would have been nice had the standard version of the movie also been included along with the XXX Internet Version of the movie.

There was an interesting idea behind Live For Sex Die For Love, however, as far as the XXX Internet Version goes, the idea was never given enough substance to work and is hindered by what appears to be inserts that have nothing to do with the plot of the movie. The end result is sadly a mess that isn't worth the time spent watching. Toby Ross and BDF (Big Dik Factory) have done a poor job with their streaming-only edition of Live For Sex Die For Love with poor image and poor audio quality.
