Lexington Steele's Heavy Metal 9 Review

I like Lex Steele's hard core attitude. I even liked the other stars in this one. They weren't afraid of the business end of a massive man-hammer. The hottest scene was with Katie St. Ives. My only complaint is, like in a lot of these compilations, her scene was too short. I could tell they had about 45 minutes worth of good footage from at least an hour and half of filmable work. This film included only the hottest parts of the sex couplings but some of the build up to the hottest parts of the scenes would be nice to see also. Rosebud tried to get as many actresses crammed into a DVD of like manner as they could. I understand that - one man's garlic is another man's rose. What I'd really like to know is what happens to the stuff that goes on the cutting room floor. Not only Rosebud, but several studios have stuff that's unseen that may be hotter than the stuff they released but too convoluted for mass production. I appreciate them making that judgement for me. I don't don't know how much longer Lex is going to be around this industry in front of the camera but he has surely made his mark/dent(pun intended) in modern video porn media. He is as iconic as John Holmes - and please don't ask me who Johnny Wadd is. After all is said, done and the stains cleared from any noticeable surface areas this video offering is a hard 3.5 stars. If they had knocked out Blu Diamond and extended the scenes with Katie and Eva to 45 mins, my rating would be higher. I try to consider the whole enterprise and the full effect of attempting to watch the entire film. This is so, not a put down.
