Lethal Passion Review

When I first saw this on my search for adult DVD’s I saw two things that made me order it.

The first was that it had Tracy Adams in it. Tracy is probably one of the most memorable porn actresses in my humble opinion because she has a great voluptuous body combined with a very sultry look and equally sultry voice.

The second was that this DVD was a few pennies shy of $8. Okay, I’m not a big spender when it comes to porn. I’m not going to put $30 on plastic just for one video unless it was a REALLY great video with TONS of extras and a bunch of hot actresses. Besides, you’d be surprised what one could find on sale… but that’s for another review.

Okay, so I get the DVD, and the first thing SCREAMING out from the top of the box is MULTIPLE ANGLES, and I figure this would be a rather neat feat, especially since it also pushed the fact that it was "shot on film". Then I looked at the box itself… and I realized that the label looked a little cheap. I’m not talking a professional-looking label like the kind Vivid or Adam & Eve or Wicked would come up with. More like it was done on someone’s computer, scanning in certain elements, and then throwing in some of their own elements.

You can tell right off that this doesn’t bode well…

So I put the disc in, start to play the movie and…. WTF??? Right after the titles, there’s the beautiful Ms. Adams on the back end of a sex scene! And on a really bad fake internal pop too! What the hell was up with that, huh? Worse yet, that’s the ONLY time we see her through the entire movie. That’s something of a letdown for this reviewer.

Okay, well from there a different Adams sort of takes over the story. Buck Adams, that is. I wish it were Tracy, but I guess it wouldn’t be right, would it? After all, it is a Buck Adams movie! He’s the writer and the director, so he has to be the one to talk us through all of this.

It seems ol’ Buck is an errand boy for the mob who goes by the name of Micky. Family members make a mess, and he’s the one that gets to clean it all up. And of course Micky is willing to provide some stories to back this all up as a reason why he’s simply sick of the family and wants out.

We have Mario (TT Boy), the young pup who thinks that a monster pile of white powder will turn any woman into a lesbian. So after taking some drags off of Mount Colombian he gets two girls to go at it, and then excuses himself to the bedroom with the third (K.C. Williams). He can’t get it up, does a quick missionary pop, then gets paranoid and kills the girl. Micky gets called in to kill the other two girls. Then Mario starts a gang war.

Then we have Joey (Joey Silvera), a club owner who likes to bang girls in his office. One of them happens to be the daughter (Charisma) of another mob family member (Ron Jeremy). He knows it too, which is why he bangs her along with her friend. Nice three-way scene where Joey gets to screw them both once. Hey, at least Mario had drugs as his excuse to be stupid. Oh, and nice trick with the disappearing bra. One minute it’s on, two seconds after the pop shot it’s gone.

So Joey bumps off the girl’s father by sending in a hit woman pretending to be a pregnant girlfriend. Of course the guy’s wife (Nina Hartley) gets pissed off, takes the gun away from the hit-woman and does the job herself. Micky says that he set it all up, and now Joey is afraid that Micky will blab away to the other family about his handiwork. Hey, when you’re in the family, you don’t blab. Period. What part about this did the writer not know?

Then there’s John (John Leslie), who has a straying wife (Raven). We get to see a really nice drawn out scene of her screwing some other guy in a huge bathroom. Then she blabs about it on an AM radio show… and that she’s connected to the family. Stupid, stupid, stupid!

Now why would John be pissed off about Micky? Because of his wife? His wife didn’t screw Micky! Again, stupid, stupid, stupid.

So Micky explains how the family plans on getting rid of him, then how they’re going to shut down the drug gang that Mario pissed off. If you didn’t tell from the actors, this was definitely done back in the days before rabid political correctness took over.

Okay, so now we see Micky with a meeting with the rival drug leader, and he brought some biker guys along as backup. They talk about deals and unity, then Micky goes on his way. Lot of needless gun-pointing here, especially for a needless one-minute meeting. Then the drug leader gets a blowjob from his girl, and then has her screwed by his posse. No visible pop, and we don’t see the gang-bang.

Turns out the meeting was to turn the tables on the family. Micky shows up at the poker game, guesses which family member was going to kill him (he’s the cousin who poorly screwed Tracy in the beginning of the movie), then we get a flashback about Micky screwing Joey’s wife (Silver). He licks, she sucks, two positions, then pop, and right back the poker game. Micky kills the cousin, the gang kills the family members, then they shoot Micky. Micky survives, though, because he had a bulletproof vest on. Of course he would! How else could he tell the tale?

Okay in terms of a story, it certainly needs work. And what about the promise of "multiple angles"? Not in the movie itself! No, that’s reserved for the many sex scenes thrown in right after the movie. Angle 1 will have one sex scene, Angle 2 will have another sex scene but with Angle 1’s audio track. Yeah, you’re probably saying the same thing I was… WTF guys??? WTF???

The old saying is that you get what you pay for, but in this case I didn’t even get that. I’ve gotten better DVDs for half the price. Aside from the movie, which was marginally okay even for its day, and the content of the non-credited sex scenes, which ranged from okay to lame, this DVD is an utter disappointment. If you paid more than $8 for this DVD, you were seriously ripped off!
