Initial Expectations: Jordan has been doing a very nice job with this series. I’m really looking forward to this one!

Initial Reaction: The girls are some of the best looking yet, but the sex didn’t seem quite up to the normal level of the series.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are okay. The audio is a bit muffled, has a few background noises, and is slightly out of balance. It’s made worse by being at a low level that makes you have to crank it up to the point that there’s a fair amount of speaker hiss to hear it well. It’s some of the worst audio I’ve heard from Smash in a long time, and definitely brought things down a notch for me. The video is much better. It’s very nicely lit, and although there’s some camera motion it never feels shaky. There’s a touch of grain to the video, but it’s just enough to give it a softer artistic look rather than a cheap or cheesy look.

Music: None

Menus: The main menu is pretty good, and works in some nice animation and a bit of the movie for a very good first impression. The chapter menu is what really stands out, as it lets you not only choose between going directly to watching the scene and going to a menu that lets you choose what position in the scene, but also lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the name of the performers in each scene. There are very few companies who put as much effort into their menus as Smash has lately.

The Feature

The Legal Skin series decides to go full bore into European girls as they change their name mildly to Legal Skin Euro 17. Each scene has a small lead-in and features barely legal girls getting nice and nasty.

Scene 1 - Kathy Anderson and Clark

While sightseeing in Budapest, Clark snaps a few photos of hot bottle blonde Kathy. They head back to an apartment for a cup of coffee and top plan thins out a bit. As they look through the maps, Clark can’t resist fondling Kathy a little. This is a pretty good scene. She looked so hot during this part of the scene that I was almost disappointed when we got to see what was underneath her clothes. The rest of the scene was pretty good. Kathy and Clark seemed to have decent chemistry and energy, but something was missing. Yes, she takes it in the ass like a champ, but the scene just felt like some little detail was missing.

Scene 2 - Nataly Brown and Renato

When cute brunette Nataly comes by Renato’s office in a gray skirt, a pink sweater, and tall pink boots, he can’t keep his hands off her. She stops him until he pays her and then lets him continue to grope and kiss her, strip her down, and then attack her great natural tits orally. I’m not sure if this scene even gets up to an average level for me. Nataly looks fantastic and takes it in the ass extremely well, but she never really grabbed me in the scene. She seems to start out fairly cold, which I guess works if you’re into the scene for the prostitution angle, but thankfully does warm up a little as the scene goes on. The camera work, although not really different from elsewhere in the movie, also left me bored here and felt kind of like it was wandering aimlessly through the action rather than giving the mute Marlon Perkins tour of the mating habits of the barely legal Euroslut. I think it all comes down to her eyes, which never show the least bit of excitement or enjoyment throughout the scene. I wanted to like this scene, but I just couldn’t get into it. This is easily the worst scene in the movie.

Scene 3 - Zafira and Roxy

After playing around in the sinks at what looks to be a hair salon, knockout brunette Zafira and beautiful bottle blonde Roxy start playing with each other. Roxy makes the first move splashing Zafira, and after they grope each other Zafira can’t help but play with Roxy’s nicely natural tits. This is a pretty good scene. It comes off feeling like it’s trying to be pretty more than anything, and that’s just what it does. Zafira comes off as being very new with Roxy feeling a little more experienced. They both keep the play light, and never seem like they want to push things at all. This leaves the scene ending up pretty good but far from great.

Scene 4 - Liliane Tiger and Nick Lang

Liliane starts things out rolling around on the bed wearing only a pink and black thong and top. When she hears Nick is up and out on the couch she comes to join him, and after some passionate kissing lets him work his way across her nipples and down to her heavily pierced pussy. The camera work seemed a little off to me again, and I couldn’t help but think that Jordan had the feeling that he had to be constantly moving. He does take a few breaks to focus on things, but it seems almost random as he captures it. Liliane and Nick put out a fantastic fuck, but the camera work holds it back a little.

Scene 5 - Tamara and Ricardo Bell

Cute brunette Tamara starts things out in a pink top, white skirt, and white stockings watching Ricardo fix the sink. The camera work is a little weak, but still better than in some of the other scenes. This is a fairly hot scene.

Scene 6 - Ellen Saint, Cage, and Wien Lewis

This is a hot scene, and quite possibly the best in the movie. I think Ellen looks better here than I’ve ever seen her, and she looks like she’s having a great time from the very start to the very end. She has bright eyes and a fantastically natural smile that easily raises her performance up a couple notches just by making it look like she had that much fun. The camera work is pretty good here, and Ellen definitely helped the movie end on a high note.

Legal Skin 17 is a pretty good porno that didn’t work for me quite as well as I hoped. The girls are still smoking hot, but they just don’t seem quite as passionate here as they are in other episodes of the series. I think quite a bit of that less passionate feeling can be attributed to most of the girls feeling like fresh talent. They often have the that fresh and clueless feel that appeals to quite a few people, but rarely works for me. My other problem with Legal Skin 17 is that the camera work didn’t quite feel right for me. Many directors have a way of working around the scene where they make it feel like you’re moving around the action and seeing everything that’s going on. Jordan seems to be trying to do this, but he has a habit of zooming in on something, zooming out and focusing on something else, and then zooming in on that something else. It isn’t quite a rough feel, but instead feels like Jordan is trying something new and needs to get a little more comfortable with it. Hopefully he’ll have it down a little better for Legal Skin 18. Legal Skin 17 is filled with fine young women who aren’t afraid to get nasty, but it often lacks passion and needs a little polish here and there.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts about twelve minutes. You get a bit of the girls in the makeup chair, a little of Jordan working with the cast, and a bit of the still photos being shot. There’s even a little fun shooting the scenes. It’s a decent behind the scenes featurette that strikes me as being very hard to shoot with a lack of English-speaking talent.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many Smash DVDs can be found online for between $14 and $24 with most stores offering them in the $20 range. If you want hot and young Eurosluts taking it in the ass, this one’s probably well worth the money for you. If you want highly passionate sex, you might want to rent this one instead. The sex varies, but the technical aspects are nicely done. There’s also some nice effort put into the extras. Once again Smash is looking to put some nice effort into their overall DVD, but the movie didn’t work quite as well for me as some of their other releases.

Note to Smash: Please tweak your audio a little. It definitely interfered with the movie for me, and seemed sloppier than I expect from you.
