The Short Story

Initial Expectations: I’ve only seen Legal Skin 13 out of this series, but it was hot enough that I’m going into this one with extremely high expectations.

Initial Reaction: The movie’s very good but the overall DVD lacks a little.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting hot European women taking it in each of their holes

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting top notch technical aspects

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is a bit weird, mostly due to the balance. The left speaker had all of the sounds from the performers and the scene, while the right speaker was basically dead the entire time. The only time it came to life was when there was music, and then the music was the only thing to come through the right speaker. The feature audio balance also leaves a little bit to be desired at times, as the background noises are sometimes louder than the performers. There’s even a bit of noticeable dubbing in the third scene, as well as a fair amount of dubbing that’s done pretty well. The video, however, is very good. It almost has a little soft grain, and the lighting flashes slightly throughout the movie. It’s not a lot, but it’s just enough to interfere with things.

Music: There’s very little music this time around, but what music there is has a fun feel that works well for the feature.

Disc Complaints: There’s no time stamp for the feature (which is really odd because the photo gallery has a time stamp). This is one of the little things that always stands out to me. Quite often I don’t have the time to watch a full movie, and I also like to jump back to specific spots in a movie. With a time stamp you can jump to specific instances in a movie and with many players leave a movie to come back to the specific instant you left off. Without the time stamp you’re stuck going back to the chapter breaks only. From what I understand it takes almost no effort or cost to include a time stamp, so whenever I come across a DVD without one it always seems a bit cheap to me or like whoever made the DVD didn’t really care that much about the people who are buying it. I love what I’ve seen from Smash and know they care about the customer, so I really hope to see this change in the future!

Menus: The menus are okay. The main menu lets you jump to a scene by number, as well as giving you the choices of extras. The scene menu then lets you jump to whichever part of the scene you’d like to see based on a small clip of that part of the scene. It’s a nice idea, but I think it would work much better if it would also let you know who’s in each scene on the scene menu.

The Feature

As usual with the Legal Skin series, there’s a bit of plot for the scenes to work their way around. This time, the plot revolves around a ring. As it makes its way from person to person, so does a case of uncontrollable lust.

Scene 1 - Amanda and Bruno

After their boss leaves the house, servants Amanda and Bruno get busy since they don’t feel like cleaning. Bruno helps Amanda out of her top a little so that he can suck her perky nipples while she works him out of his pants. She puts up with it for a bit before dropping down to energetically mouth his manhood. They move into the kitchen for Bruno to return to working Amanda over orally and to fuck her missionary style on the kitchen table. He moves on to fuck her ass from behind and to spoon it before letting Amanda suck him to a nice pop on her face.

This is a pretty good way to start out the movie. Amanda and Bruno have good chemistry, but there’s plenty of times when Amanda doesn’t look completely comfortable. She still puts in nice energy, but I had the feeling a couple times that she was mostly doing so for the check rather than working for the satisfaction of a job well done ending up all over her face.

Scene 2 - Mya Diamond, Nikki Blond, and James Brossman

Nikki starts out the second scene dancing in a cage for James while he meets with lanky brunette Mya. They come to a business deal, part of which causes James’ cock to end up in her mouth. Nikki quits dancing to come help, and even moves down to eat Mya’s muff while Mya works on James. Nikki continues to work her oral skills while James fucks Mya from behind, and then takes a turn herself. The girls keep trading back and forth, but the next time Nikky gets her turn she has James fuck her ass while Mya rides his tongue. This is another nice scene. James and the girls have nice chemistry, and they all put in some nice energy. I was a little disappointed that Mya didn’t take it in the can, but she more than made up for it with how well she shared the facial with Nikki. This is a very enjoyable scene.

Scene 3 - Mandy Bright and Frank Gun

Mandy and Frank get it on after he gives her a beautiful ring as a present. They kiss before Frank works his mouth across Mandy’s fantastic body, which is of course followed by Mandy demonstrating her formidable oral skills. Mandy lays back for Frank to start out fucking her pussy, and then gets up for a reverse cowgirl anal ride. They finish things up with a little anal doggie before Mandy takes a facial with a smile on her face.

As usual, Mandy and Frank do an excellent job together. Mandy won an award for the best foreign performer at the 2004 AVN awards, and it was well earned. She shows just why here, and puts out plenty of energy as well as making the anal look easy as can be. This is a very nice scene and one of the best in the feature.

Scene 4 - Jennifer and Dorina

Jennifer and Dorina get it on at their workplace next. They slowly strip each other down as they work each other over orally. First the blonde gets tongued and then has the brunette turn around so that she can eat her in return. They work in a little finger play as well, and kiss a bit before heading upstairs where the toys are. Once again the blonde receives first, but it’s the brunette who takes things all the way with a dildo in her ass. Finally, the girls finish things up with a bit of kissing.

This is an okay scene. The girls have pretty good energy and keep things moving fairly well. There’s plenty of tongue action around the ass, but I was a little disappointed because it never turned into any actual rimming. It ended up being quite a tease as the girls almost seemed to be afraid to lick a little ass, which brought the scene down a little for me. They seem to enjoy themselves well, but the toys almost seemed like a crutch when the girls wouldn’t go for a little natural anal action. I’m sure many people will enjoy this scene more than I did because I was hoping for something the girls didn’t appear to want.

Scene 5 - Judy White, Nick Lang, and Lauro Giotto

Judy shows her gratitude to Nick and Lauro as best she knows after they find her ring. She drops down to work her mouth between Nick and Lauro’s cocks before letting Lauro work his way behind her to warm up her pussy and ass with his tongue and fingers. Lauro moves on to fuck her from behind, and takes a few breaks to tongue her a bit more before they move to the couch in another room for her to get a little anal action riding Nick reverse cowgirl style. They move on to gives Judy a double penetration before giving her a great facial finish.

This is a great scene to finish things up with. Judy puts plenty of effort into her scene and neither of the guys ever looks like he’s the least bit neglected. The anal and DP feel like a natural progression of the action rather than feeling forced, and my only complaint here is that the scene ended too quickly. With the great job Judy, Lauro, and Nick were doing here this scene could have easily lasted twice as long and completely held my attention. This is easily the best scene in the feature, and ends the movie on a definite high note.

Legal Skin 14 is a pretty hot movie. The cast is gorgeous, and they don’t waste too much time messing around with the lightweight plot. This is good and bad. On the good side, you never half to worry about the plot interfering with the action for long, since European stars reading lines in English isn’t always the best thing. On the bad side, there’s just enough plot here that it seems thrown in just to have a plot and ends up feeling almost like a waste at times. Like I said, European stars working with English lines isn’t always a good thing. Thankfully, the sex is. Most of the girls get into it pretty well, and they rarely seem to be afraid to take a little anal action. There’s a couple spots where the girls made me wonder if they were just in it for the check, but most of the time put in some nice energy while looking amazing. Jordan has shown some very nice abilities behind the camera, and the nice balance he keeps from behind it is every bit as impressive as the girls he keeps in front of it. Legal Skin 14 is another hot addition to a very hot series that’s worth checking out despite its audio problems.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts about three and a half minutes with roughly ten seconds per very nice looking framed full screen photo or snapshot. Trailers are included for My Playtoy, Legal Skin 12, Down Your Throat 2, Secrets Exposed, Stocking Secrets 4, and Busta Nut 1. There’s also just over five and a half minutes of cum shot recaps and website information.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many Smash DVDs can be found online for between $14 and $24 with most stores offering them in the $20 range. I’d aim at the low end here. The action is hot, but there isn’t anything worth mentioning for extras and the audio is off. If all you care about is watching the action, however, this one should have plenty of replay value.

Note to Smash Pictures: You’ve had a great streak of movies, now please add a little polish to your DVDs. To start with, pay a little more attention to the technical aspects. The audio balance is easily the biggest problem with your DVDs, and something that I think will lose you customers. Also, put a little attention towards extras. At under an hour and a half you should have had plenty of time to include a bonus scene from something like one of the other episodes of Legal Skin, one of your upcoming releases, or a similar recent title like Down Your Throat 2 which fans of this series might also enjoy but not have checked out. These things should also help you improve your overall DVDs at a minimum cost.
