Initial Expectations: I’ve been pretty impressed with this series. I’m looking forward to this one especially with this cast.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects vary a little. The audio is pretty clear and well balanced, but you can also hear a few comments from off-screen. The video is also pretty good. It has some slight grain but is nicely lit and is even throughout the movie.

Music: The music is a bit odd, and often way too loud. Thankfully it isn’t there throughout the entire feature.

Menus: The menus are okay. The main menu has some okay animation while the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number. Sadly, the chapter menu only lets you go to three of the four scenes in the movie, which is a bit sloppy and annoying.

The Feature

When Mistress Tara makes her way from New York to California, Shanna clues her in on some of the differences she can expect. She tells her stories about some of her mistresses and their varied clients to illustrate some of the differences.

Scene 1 - Shanna McCullough and T. J. Hart

T. J. comes to see Shanna to try to get something she can’t from her boyfriend. Shanna restrains T. J.’s hands about her head before exploring T. J. She spanks her with her bare hand as well as her flogger. She mixes in some nice soft touches as rewards before having T. J. turn around so that she can flog her other side. She also has T. J. worship her boots before rewarding T. J. by letting her grind against a vibe taped to her other boot. Finally, Shanna puts on a strap-on for T. J. to suck before fucking her from behind.

This is a very hot start to the movie. Shanna and T. J. have nice chemistry, with Shanna doing a very nice job as the dom while T. J. acts very submissive. I also like the variety in the scene, working from spanking to shoe worship to finally a little sex. This is a great way to start the movie.

Scene 2 - Kate Frost and Lena Ramone

Lena enters the room to find slave Kate playing with her flogger. She punishes Kate with a spanking before moving on with the floggers. Lena starts out flogging Kate’s ass with one flogger and then turns two loose on Kate’s perfect breasts. Lena gives Kate a few kisses in between flogging various parts of her body, all of which Kate looks to get into amazingly well. Kate worships Lena’s great legs before working her way up to kiss Lena’s kitty. Kate’s given the pleasurable plain of an electronic toy and a hand mounted vibe before Lena dons a strap-on. Kate sucks it before laying back and taking it.

This is another great scene. I love how much Kate gets into the scene, and think that her energy makes this one of the best scenes in the movie. She also has great chemistry with Lena, who looks to enjoy the scene just as much as Kate does. This is an excellent scene.

Scene 3 - Cleo and Jewel Marceau

Cleo starts things out helping Mistress Jewel get dressed before being rewarded with a flogging and spanking. After working on Cleo’s front and back, Jewel gives her a bit of horsey training. After a little more discipline with a ball gag and her crop, Mistress Jewel finally lets Cleo give her a little oral pleasure.

This is another nicely done scene. Jewel and Cleo play very well off each other, and Cleo doesn’t look to enjoy it quite as much. She has a fear in her eyes that comes out nicely, and adds nicely to the scene. Jewel’s sing-song voice adds a bit to the scene as well, and I liked the addition of the horse training. This is yet another nicely done scene.

Scene 4 - Shanna McCullough and Mistress Tara Indiana

Finally, Shanna has Mistress Tara demonstrate her domination skills to see if she really has what it takes to work in her dungeon. Mistress Tara starts things out whipping Shanna’s ass with a fluffy whip before moving on to a pair of floggers. She gives Shanna a lesson in being quiet before giving her a vicious spanking and flogging. Mistress Tara also plays with Shanna’s pussy a little and lets her lick her own juices off her fingers before going back to flogging her. She works on Shanna with a couple toys and finally lets Shanna tongue her bald beaver.

This is a great scene to end things with. I love how Shanna plays the misbehaving bad girl to Tara’s strict dominatrix. I also love how much you can tell that they’re both getting into it. There’s not much new here other than Shanna’s attitude, but that’s enough to help this scene and the movie end on a definitely high note.

Leatherbound Dykes From Hell 17 is an excellent piece of all girl bondage porn. Every scene is a winner here, and shows a nice variety. There’s something a little different in almost every scene as well as different attitudes. Just as good as the variety is that everybody in the movie looks to be completely into it and having a great time. Ernest Greene is well known for trying to make sure that the casts in his movies are into it, and it really shows here. The only thing I can complain about for the entire movie is that there were a few times when I heard comments from off-screen, and even that barely registered with how into the scenes I was. Leatherbound Dykes From Hell 17 is well worth checking out.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many Bizarre DVDs can be found online for between $14 and $28 with most stores offering them for over $20. This one’s well worth the money. Yes, there’s nothing worthwhile for extras and the technical aspects aren’t the best, but the sex is extremely hot.

Note to Bizarre Video: This was a great release and had the potential to get a full point higher rating if you would have put a bit more effort into the technical aspects and extras.
