The Little Details

NOTE: This is an amateur video. Amateur and homemade movies don’t have the budget nor the resources of studio porn, and therefore rarely get close to the same quality technically. I’m rating this DVD on the same scale, but most homemade or amateur features would rarely make it above a 3 on the standard scale I use for studio porn for their technical aspects. The performers also aren’t normally the ‘glamour stars’ one expects from studio porn, and instead use people who look like somebody you might encounter in your day to day life. Finally, the camera work has a different feel, as it’s often shot from a tripod or with somebody who doesn’t have the technical training or experience of professional cameramen. The Short Story

Initial Expectations: I've heard of Kimber Lace in mainstream porn, but I'm not sure I've ever seen her in action. Knowing that she's released a few true homemade videos definitely piques my interest, and as usual with Shot at Home I can't help but go into this one with some pretty good expectations.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are a bit weak. The audio is fairly clear, but there's also quite a bit of background noise. The video is presented in the full frame format and is a bit weaker. There's a fair amount of nicely captured footage, but there's also quite a bit that's plagued by movement, pixelation, and lighting inconsistencies.

Watermark Warning: Although the normally don’t bother me much, there is a small and tasteful watermark warning that stays in the lower right corner. This made it very easy to filter out for me, and quite honestly, I didn’t notice it unless I thought about it.

Menus: The menus are pretty simple. The main menu keeps Shot at Home’s usual style with their logo and a photo from the movie. The chapter menu is also simple, and lets you choose where to go in the movie based on six clips from the movie.

The Feature

Kimber starts out the second scene as a full blown brunette and quickly diving under the covers of the bed before Brett jumps in to join her after setting up the camera. She moves up to ride Brett cowgirl style and then has him lube up for a reverse cowgirl ride. Kimber bounces on his bone as long as she can before apologizing for not being able to take the position longer and deciding to take it missionary style instead. This is a pretty good scene. Kimber definitely looks cute as a full-on brunette, and does a pretty good job taking on Brett's cock. The sex is obviously natural due to it not always working the best, but thankfully her oral skills save the day. This scene makes it past the average mark due to those oral skills, but it doesn't make it much further due to some of the camera angles with the tripod at the start or the problems with the fucking.

Kimber, back in her bottle blonde mode, starts out the third scene touching her naughty parts and licking her lips while giving the camera some nice eyes. She rubs Brett's cock through his jeans while begging for it, and then gives it a lick before happily taking it out to start sucking. Kimber gives plenty of great eyes and throat action, and happily encourages him to cum on her face when she thinks he's getting close. Kimber sits down and moves her hair out of the way while doing her best baby bird impression, and takes a very nice pop around her mouth that she partially swallows down.

This is a pretty good blowjob scene. Once again Kimber shows some great enthusiasm for sucking cock as well as for taking a load of cum on her face. The action is nicely captured as for being able to see that action, but is also plagued by pixelation and some minor focus problems. This is a decent scene that showed both the potential of homemade porn as well as its limitations very well.

Kimber starts the final scene sucking Brett's cock and giving both him and the camera some very nice eyes. As usual she works in plenty of throat action and some nice enthusiasm before letting Brett fuck her doggie style. She rolls over to take it missionary style, and as they fuck they work through the two positions. Finally Kimber takes a very nice load over her face and swallows a bit of it down.

This is a very hot scene. Kimber looks very nice, and I love how the scene got right to the action rather than trying to stretch things out. There's great chemistry through the scene, and Kimber never seems to hold anything back right down to demanding that Brett spanks her even when he says that he's not sure he can. At the same time, the camera work often holds the scene back slightly. There's a lot of motion through the scene and there were many times I wished that Kimber and Brett would invest in a tripod. Despite the camera work, this is quite possibly the best scene in the movie and definitely finished the movie on a high note.

Kimber Lace 2 is a pretty good homemade porno. Kimber is a cute girl and there's no doubt as to how much she loves sex. She does a great job in each of the four scenes, and even though I'm not a big fan of blowjob scenes I definitely enjoyed both of hers here. At the same time, this release also shows some of the limitations of homemade porn. The technical aspects often leave a bit to be desired, with the last two scenes definitely having some decent limitations despite having great chemistry. Kimber Lace 2 is a very nicely done homemade release that does a very good job showing both the charm and the limitations of homemade porn.

Currently, most of Shot at Home's DVDs can be found on their website for around $20. If you're a fan of Kimber Lace or homemade porn in general, this one will probably be worth the money. Yes, the technical aspects often leave a bit to be desired, but Kimber gets into all of the action very well and turns out four great scenes. Throw in a little bonus reel for the extras and you have a nicely done homemade release.
