Kill Girl Kill 3 (VCA) Review

This is my first review in quite some time and my first review of a movie this new. My tendencies in reviewing porn are usually classics and features, but I have lately been getting into the alt.porn phenomenon that seems to be dominating VCA currently. I saw Joanna Angels' "Joanna's Angels" and then I checked out this movie, also featuring Joanna, directed by L.A. art school graduate Eon McKai, who made his directorial debut last year with "Art School Sluts", which I have yet to see, but is supposedly very good. McKai's "Neu Wave Hookers" is set for release on January 17'th, so I thought I'd check this movie out first as a little preview into his work.

What I found was very, very promising. VCA has made some great classic porn films (many of them, sadly, very butchered on DVD). But then in the mid 90's, Jim Holliday started directing for them, and the overall body of work from the company went into decline (maybe their all-condom policy helped). Recently, however, VCA was bought by Hustler and they dropped the all-condom policy and are going for much rougher sex to appeal to a much more hardcore audience (the Evil Angels not the Vivids).

This is a great movie. While it's just really a series of vignettes, I feel like I'd be degrading it by calling it "gonzo", considering it's more artistic than 90% of the features out there.

We start things off with Nyomi Zen, a hot Asian girl with a few small tattoos. We follow her up a flight up steps as she is paired up with Kurt Lockwood. Things get started pretty fast with much of the hardcore I was describing earlier. Especially great here is a position described in the commentary track as the "Lockwood Monkey", which is pretty much a turn Kurt does with Nyomi, where he turns her upside down, so that he is eating her out, while she sucks him, while upside down. There is a bit of fetish stuff here (such as toe sucking, as there is in other scenes), but no more than there is in the average Evil Angel DVD. And if you are wondering about the title, the background of the scenes have the words KILL GIRL KILL written on various TV sets.

Katrina Kraven's scene is next with Rob Rotten. This guy is a little bit freaky for me (even without the mohawk). He fits the series well, but still not for me. The scene itself is pretty good, even if it's not the best in the movie. Katrina has lots of tattoos, which might be a good or a bad thing, depending on personal taste. The sex itself is very hot and extremely hardcore (some choking).

Joanna Angel then has a pairing with James Deen. I know from hearing interviews with Joanna and from the commentary on this disc that Joanna is really into James and you can tell. This is another really good scene, even if I already saw pretty much the same thing in "Joanna's Angels". Especially good in this scene are the blowjobs.

Next is, in my opinion, the best scene in the movie. Black hottie Tiger (who has a tattoo on her side and nipple piercings) gets paired with Kurt Lockwood. This scene is passionate from beginning to end without a dull moment in between. There's a little bit of everything in this scene: kissing, blowjobs, cunnilingus, ass licking, toe sucking, footjobs, vaginal, anal, titty play, ect. These two are really into each other and there's some hot wordplay between the two ("Fuck my ass, white boy". Solidly hardcore throughout.

The last scene is another scene with James Deen, this time paired with Serena Sinn. This scene is as steamy as the James-Joanna pairing, although the personal passion isn't as strong in this scene. Still, there are some great blowjobs and ends in an interesting (and quite hot) cumshot on her sneaker!

Just having those scenes themselves would have been plentiful, but the DVD also includes some pretty awesome features. There is a group commentary with Eon McKai, producer Malachi Ecks, Joanna Angel, Tiger (before she has to leave), and some members of the crew. While not always informative, it's always entertaining as the participants joke each other and take cell phone calls as they're talking. There's also some behind the scenes material, previews for other Eon McKai movies (a "Neu Wave Hookers" promo plays before you get to the main menu), a cut scene (which isn't nearly as good as the scenes that did make the cut), a photo gallery, a star index (where you can get to an individual girl doing a specific sex act), as well as phone sex and website promos. The menus are easily navigable, and the picture is excellent throughout (some sound problems at one point, but it's minor and might even be intended).

All in all, this was a great purchase and I highly recommend this for somebody looking for something new in their porn.
