Synopsis:

Audio/Video:
Kill Girl Kill is presented with an English 2.0 Stereo track. Given the nature of the film a Stereo track is all that the title requires. The film sounds fine and good use has been put to the Stereo track. The dialog is clear and can be heard at all times. VCA hasn't included any subtitle options or foreign language tracks for the feature film.

Kill Girl Kill is presented in the full screen aspect ratio of 1.33:1. The picture quality of the film looks great and gives the viewer a crisp, clean and clear picture. The color levels are correctly set so noone should be bothered at all by the video quality.

Special Features:
VCA has included several extras on the disc. There is a feature length commentary track with Eon McKai, alaska!, Malachi Ecks, Veronica Jett, Zoe Matthews, and Mya Rose with one microphone. As a result, some areas are harder to hear but the commentary is definitely worth listening to. There is a short behind the scenes featurette on the disc. There is a girls option that has a breakdown for each of the scenes. There are also trailers for Café Flesh 3, Art School Sluts, and The Ozporns.

Disc Design/Navigation:
The disc is beautifully designed with animated menus with video and haunting music that fit the mood of the film. There are five chapters available from the chapter menu, one for each of the sex scenes. There is a video clip of the scene to help you identify where the chapters go. There is a time code encoded on the disc for the feature film.

General Review:
You know you aren't about to view your parents porno when the film starts with a gritty street scene and then goes to a gaudily painted room, in orange and purple, which is unfurnished except for a chair covered in black. Music bounces between the speakers, not your typical porn music, but more edgy music, discordant even at times. And thus opens the first scene, which is also the most disappointing scene in the film. For some reason this scene never clicked with me. I can't pinpoint an exact reason why, it just never did.

However the next scene made up for it. Set in a white room with a red couch, frames jumbled on the walls with “art” in them and Katrina Kraven and the innocent looking James Deen. This scene just worked on all levels, the set was great and Katrina and James had some great sexual heat together. The third scene was decent, but the destruction of the televisions didn't work for me. The performers seemed to click but the destruction threw the scene off for me.

As far as style and feel go, the fourth scene was my favorite. It starts like it could be right out of the seventies punk movement, a white room, with an old style flowered couch and it is shot in a grainy soft pictured style. The only thing missing was Sex Pistols music in the background. The final scene was enjoyable too with Zoe Matthews and Benny Profane.

As important to the film as the sex is the mood and feel. As this is a punk-style adult film the clothing, music and sets are all just as important to the finished product. Eon McKai appears to really enjoy this style film based on the end product. The clothing selections are great, I especially liked the contrast between Zoe looking like a rave-chick in the final scene and Benny Profane dressed in a suit. The beginning sets work great for the feel, but the ones in the third scene and the fifth scene don't totally fit. The shattering of televisions mixed in with the sex in the third scene detracted from it as well. However the performances from Gia and Mya kept it from being a loss.

As far as Eon McKai and his alt.porn style films, I'm not ready to write him off yet. This film, while not perfect, is enjoyable and shows promise. He'd be wise to become familiar with the work of The Dark Brothers and Rinse Dream to become familiar with what works and what doesn't for offbeat adult films. However, with some more work I think that Eon McKai could put out some rather great adult films. The sexual themes in the film are vaginal and anal sex with blow jobs, pussy eating, spanking, anilingus, P2M, pussy fingering, and female masturbation. For viewers that care about condom use, there are no condoms used in the film.
