Kill Bill: A XXX Parody Review

The movie stars Dani Daniels as Venus. In this version the women are named after flowers instead of snakes and are called the 'deadly floral arrangement'. She also wears a spandex suit instead of a tracksuit. Jakodema really knows how to suck the cool out of everything. Venus (or Dani as I'm now gonna call her) is on a revenge quest to kill the people who tried to kill her. And I use the term revenge quest loosely, because she doesn't seem all into it. She kills her first target (Misty Stone) by putting a bomb in her car. She doesn't even bother to watch it happen. For a person who wants revenge this seems very impersonal. There's also a part at the end of the movie she teams up with her long time rival (Ash Hollywood) and they kill Bill together. Then after that they just part ways. First of all; this whole movie was all about Dani getting revenge; so she's not gonna just let her go. The original was a relentless badass who would stop at nothing to get her revenge. This feels more like her way of passing the time. I mean you could make the argument that she wants to repay Ash for helping her. But she didn't give Misty Stone a pass after helping her. Secondly; Ash Hollywood is an angry jealous rival who hates Dani. So I don't believe she would try to help and then just leave. Not only does this ending ruin both characters, but it also ruins the whole point of the movie.

Jakodema uses a few of the lines from the original movie. But when he tries to go off on his own the movie because very generic. And I think that's the biggest problem with this movie. Everything feels like it's on autopilot with no real passion or effort put into it. All the actors are phoning it in, and the dialogue lacks the coolness Tarantino is famous for. There aren't even any monologues. Tarantino usually has long monologues about seemingly trivial things. So it would've been funny and clever for one of the characters to ramble endlessly about nothing. The cinematography is especially lazy. Most of it looks like the cameraman just put the camera wherever and then left it rolling while he went to lunch.

Bottom line; this was a mediocre parody that was suppose to show that Axel Braun isn't the only one who can do parodies. But ended up being a reminder of why we let him do most of them
