Initial Expectations: This one kinda scares me, but with Lena Ramon and Mia Domore I can’t help but give it a chance.

Initial Reaction: There’s a lot of potential for the scenes, but it’s almost completely wasted.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects leave plenty to be desired. The audio doesn’t have the best balance and is extremely scratchy. There’s also a fair amount of dubbing that’s really obvious. The video is just as bad. It’s a little dark and looks about like a third generation VHS copy. There’s also some obvious blemishes that interfere with things and a bit of footage that appears to be repeated in each scene.

Music: The music is extremely cheesy, which Kendra admits to in the first scene. Thankfully it stays nicely in the background and doesn’t always stick around for the entire scene.

Misleading Advertising: The title of this movie makes it sound like it revolves around Kendra Jade and her strap-on. Instead she’s only in one of the three scenes. This seems like an obvious attempt to mislead consumers so I’m deducting a half point from the overall score.

The Feature

There’s no real plot here. It’s just a collection of three scenes which are unrelated except for the women in it use sex toys.

Scene 1 - Kendra Jade and Candy Apples

Kendra starts things out in the editing bay wearing a sexy outfit. She strips down and when she can’t get her mind off the dildo, she decides to put a little of the movie magic she knows to use to have Candy magically appear on the couch with her strap-on. This scene starts off pretty good, and then nosedives just as quickly. The good part is Kendra’s start to the scene. She makes it fun and friendly, and gave me hope for the movie despite the severely lacking technical aspects. Once the sex started, it went downhill quickly. The camera seemed afraid to show both girls at the same time which gave me a feeling of horrible chemistry in the scene. It also focused way too much on the penetration, and there was so much extra moaning dubbed in that I could have stopped watching this scene at any time. Finally, it would have been nice to see Kendra receive as well as give. Kendra shows a lot of potential at the start, but a lack of competency anywhere else killed this scene.

Scene 2 - Lena Ramon and Jack Hammer

It’s completely caught up in the penetration, and seems to hate the idea of showing both the penetration and the reaction of the people involved with it. It gets a little better when Lena starts working her tongue around Jack’s ass, but that’s about it. The editing doesn’t help things either, and has so many cuts that I can’t help but wonder if the editor used to work at a Japanese steakhouse. Many of the cuts seem to be when Lena’s having an orgasm, which gives me the feeling that somebody’s afraid of the girls having pleasure as well. This scene isn’t a complete waste, but should have been a heck of a lot better than what it ended up.

Scene 3 - Mia Domore, Hunk Hollywood, and Mr. 18 Inch

This is an okay scene. The camera work is much better than in the other scenes, and the editing is improved as well. The best thing, however, is Mia Domore. She puts such a great spirit into the scene that I found it impossible to dislike despite it’s problems. Yes, not surprisingly there’s plenty of problems even though the editing is improved. It looks like there’s a fair amount of footage that’s repeated throughout the scene and the scene also ends looking like there’s plenty more to go since Mr. 18 Inch never pops. There’s also an incomplete feel as there’s a lot of talk of Mr. 18 Inch fucking Hunk Hollywood up the ass, yet the only action for Mr. 18 Inch is a blowjob from Mia. Once again, there’s tons of potential here and it never comes close to being used.

Kendra Jade: The Strap-On Queen is a horribly disappointing movie. To start with, only one of the three scenes has Kendra with a strap-on. Another of the three has a strap-on but no Kendra, and the final scene has neither Kendra nor a strap-on! The camera work almost always leaves something to be desired and the editing could have probably been improved in most of the scenes if the editing equipment was left in the monkey cages at the zoo. The really sad thing is that the entire movie has a lot of potential. Kendra starts the movie on a definite high note, showing some nice spunk and a good sense of humor. I went from being afraid of the movie popping it in to having a fair amount of hope after the first two or three minutes. After that, it’s pretty much downhill. The scenes have very nice chemistry but the camera work and editing leave everything to be desired. It’s almost like there was a deliberate effort to try to ruin the movie, which is too bad because Lena and Mia all look like they’re having a fantastic time! Skip Kendra Jade: The Strap-On Queen unless you feel like being disappointed.

Currently, many of Gentleman’s DVDs can be found online for between $9 and $20 with stores offering them everywhere in between. Rent this one first or at least aim low. There’s some decent potential to the sex, but the editing and camera work normally hold it back. The technical aspects also leave plenty to be desired and there’s no extras.

Note to Gentleman’s DVD: Go to school so you can learn how to work the cameras and the equipment in the editing bay. Then find somebody who knows how to make a decent DVD. The only thing you seem to have done right here was some of the casting.
