Initial Expectations: I’ve really enjoyed almost everything I’ve seen from Shot at Home. They’re one of the handful of studios whose features I always go into with very high expectations.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: Even when compared to studio porn, the technical aspects here are nicely done for almost the entire movie. Normally I don’t expect homemade porn to have nearly this kind of quality for technical aspects just because they’re homemade and don’t have the budget or resources that studio porn does. I try not to compare the two because of it, but this one is good enough to compare. They’re easily the best I’ve seen out of any homemade video. The audio balance falters slightly here and there, but there aren’t a lot of background noises or other things to interfere with the audio. There’s one very noticeable background noise and a little hiss from the camera, but that’s about it (and the hiss is normally expected from homemade porn). The video is also great. It’s lit very realistically, and although there are a few shadows, they feel natural rather than sloppy. There’s a little grain, but I’ve seen a lot worse from some of the major studios. The biggest problem with the video is that there’s a little camera shake in a few places and a little pixelation and digital breakdown during the final few minutes.

Menus: The menus are simple, but work. The main menu keeps a standard form, but it fits the homemade aspect of the movies extremely well. The chapter menus are just as simple and let you choose a scene based on a still from each chapter.

The Feature

Cute but slightly hard looking dirty blonde Kelli starts things out looking hotter than heck in a white button down shirt, blue jeans, and black boots. She talks to the camera about how she’s done three or four hardcore videos in the past, but likes to come home and diddle herself. She talks about herself, such as her hobbies and where she’s from, as well as what she likes about homemade videos before taking you on a tour of her home.

Scene 1 - Kelli Anderson

Kelli starts the tour out in her bedroom with her underwear drawer. She strips down and changes into a red thong and black bra after playfully searching for it in the drawer after her first choice has a broken strap. She also gets pretty in pink and indulges her animalistic side with a leopard print set. She finishes up her panty tour with a great white see through set before heading on with the tour.

This is an excellent start to the movie! Kelli gives a great tease, and keeps things very playful as she works through her underwear drawer. She had a smile on my face almost the entire time, but that might have been caused by smiling taking less muscles than frowning and my not having enough blood above my shoulders to make that many muscles work together to frown.

Scene 2 - Kelli Anderson

Kelli makes a stop in the bathroom next. She’s put her top and jeans back over her white see through set, but takes them all off to get into the tub. She lathers herself up before shaving her bush. Kelli doesn’t want to let her hands get away from her goodies, and after a bit throws aside the razor so she can rub her nub. She even plays with her ass a little before leaving the tub to continue the tour.

This is another excellent scene! I love the fact that Kelli includes a bit of shaving for her bathroom tour, as it’s one of the fetishes that I think it ignored far too much! I also like that she keeps things nice and playful and builds to the masturbation through both the previous scene and the start of this one. This is another very nice sequence!

Scene 3 - Kelli Anderson

Kelli kicks back on the couch next. She lightly plays with herself around her jeans and shirt without taking them off. She never takes her clothes off, or even shows so much as a nipple, before things fade to a close feeling like they might have come to a natural conclusion.

This is an excellent scene! Kelli pretty much ignores the camera the entire time she plays, which helps to give this scene an incredibly natural feel. I love the fact that her clothes were left on the entire time. It makes the scene as much of a tease as it is sexual, and really kicks things up a notch.

Scene 4 - Kelli Anderson

Kelli starts out the fourth portion in a matched set of a black bra, panties, and stockings. She leans against the door and pulls her panties aside to rub her pussy and play with her ass. Her bra and panties disappear as Kelli magically moves to the chair in front of her computer. This is another excellent sequence. Kelli mostly ignores the camera to concentrate on her business, and it works very well here. The ending almost seemed a little rushed, but it’s close enough that I didn’t care.

Scene 5 - Kelli Anderson

Kelli finishes things up in some black and red lingerie on a bed, and unlike the other scenes, has her hair pulled up. She rolls around a bit before breaking out a glass toy, and sucks on it to lube it up while she gets her juices flowing with her fingers. She works on her pussy with the glass toy a bit before switching to a blue vibe. She leaves it on the bed and bounces on it while she rubs her pussy and plays with her nipples, and then moves back to the glass toy to finish things up before Kelli says goodbye in a white nightshirt and her favorite red panties.

This scene was a little slow to get started, but once it did it ended up excellent! Kelly seems to be a little distracted at first, but gets herself going very nicely. I had a little trouble getting into this scene at first due to Kelli looking like she was paying a little too much attention to the monitor, but that’s also some of the charm of this kind of scene. It’s all natural and if Kelli’s alone she has to make sure she’s in the right place for the camera. It’s a minor fault for this scene, and easily the biggest problem with the entire feature.

This is an excellent feature! I’ll admit that I wasn’t extremely taken with Kelli when she first took the screen. She looked a little like she’d been rode hard, but her smile and openness during the opening quickly made me give her a chance. Kelly does a very good job of varying how she plays to the camera, sometimes talking to it outright and sometimes ignoring it completely. There’s some nice variations in the feel and style of the scenes, and Kelli’s varying how she plays it makes the feature all the stronger. I love the different things that are done here, such as the tour of the underwear drawer, the shaving in the bathroom, and the masturbation through the clothes. All of it has an extremely natural feel to it, and with how it was all done I could have blown at any time throughout the movie. Kelli at Home Vol. 1 is hopefully the start of a nice run of features as it’s easily the best solo movie I’ve ever watched.

The Extra Stuff

To start with, there’s six previews which last over a half. Each preview is nicely identified and has its own chapter to make it very easy to skim and to know what movie to check out if you enjoy the preview.

There’s also an “Extra O” feature, which features a quick orgasm from Kelli. She’s in a tub, which no doubt occurred between the second and third scene. Kelli diddles herself while sitting in the tub and works herself to a nice orgasm in about a minute. It’s a nice little extra, especially since it gives you just a little more of Kelly.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, most Shot at Home DVDs can be found online for around $20. If you’re even the least bit interested in this one, buy it! This is probably the best solo feature I’ve seen and has the best technical aspects I’ve seen from a homemade video. There’s even some good stuff in the extras.
