The Movie |
Kayden's Frisky Business is, rather obviously, an adult take on Paul Brickman's iconic 1983 film Risky Business with Kayden Kross taking on Tom Cruise's role. Quite honestly, there could be a great adult take of Risky Business, the original film has all the elements of an adult movie without the hardcore sex. However, Jim Malibu did not make that adult movie. Instead, he made an adult movie that feels an awful lot like the shot on video cheapies that proliferated the market in the mid-to-late 1980s that cashed in on mainstream film's names but little else.
All of the charm and naiveté of the mainstream original have been lost in Kayden's Frisky Business and replaced with just straight out hardcore sex just for the purpose of having hardcore sex. In fact, Kayden's Frisky Business has no real plot to speak of; the movie has a set-up and then just a series of hardcore sex scenes at the party. The set-up for the movie is that Kayden (Kayden Kross) finds out that the university that she is attending is cutting her scholarship money due to budget restrictions. She holds an Ass4Cash party to raise the funds she needs to continue her education. The rest of the movie is a series of sex scenes at the Ass4Cash party.
The movie features a good cast, who have some great sex scenes and there aren't any problems with the sex scenes, they look great. In fact, cut the plot out completely and Kayden's Frisky Business would have made a fine all sex movie. But as a feature movie, where the viewer expects to have a story with their sex, Kayden's Frisky Business is an utter failure. It was nice to see veteran adult film actresses Jeannie Pepper, Kelly Nichols, and Veronica Hart in the movie. This reviewer does wish that the older stalwart actors and actresses of the adult industry were cast in movies more often. Tom Cruise's quintessential floor slide dance scene is included in Kayden's Frisky Business, and Kayden Kross looks good performing it, however, it is just stuck in at the end of the movie so it is included.
Kayden's Frisky Business is well shot and there are some nice effects in the movie, like where Kayden's phone conversation with her friends is shown with everyone in boxes around the screen. However, there is no way that this reviewer can recommend Kayden's Frisky Business unless you were a fan of the cheapie shot on video 1980s movies.
The Edition |
The edition of Kayden's Frisky Business screened is the streaming-only edition available on Adam & Eve TV. Adam & Eve has done a decent job with their streaming-only release of Kayden's Frisky Business. Kayden's Frisky Business was shot digitally and is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 in high definition. The image presented looks nice with no noticeable blemishes and nice colors. There is an Adam & Eve TV logo bug in the lower right-hand corner of the screen that comes and goes during the movie.
Kayden's Frisky Business is presented with an English Stereo audio track. The audio presentation isn't great with poor Stereo reproduction. Some of the audio is thrown on one speaker and other on the other speaker without any real sense as to the reason, which can be distracting. The dialog is clear and can be heard at all times during the movie.
The only extras that Adam & Eve have included for their streaming-only edition of Kayden's Frisky Business are five photo galleries.
Final Thoughts |
Kayden's Frisky Business is an essentially plotless adult feature movie that is an attempt at an adult take on Risky Business. Despite offering a great cast, Kayden's Frisky Business falls short with no real plot nor any real reason for existing. This reviewer can't find a good reason to recommend this movie. Adam & Eve have done a decent job with their streaming-only edition of Kayden's Frisky Business on Adam & Eve TV with good video and acceptable audio quality.
